Yuri Katsuki carried the hope of all Japan on his shoulders in the Figure Skating Grand Prix, but suffered a crushing defeat in the finals. He returned to his hometown in Kyushu and hid away in his family's home, half wanting to continue skating and half wanting to retire. That was when the five-time consecutive world champion, Victor Nikiforov, suddenly showed up with his teammate, Yuri Plisetsky, a young skater starting to surpass his seniors. And so the two Yuris and the Russian champion Viktor set out to compete in a Grand Prix like none the world has ever seen!

I feel like it’s a bit accurate since I usually watch Yuzuru Hanyus performances and he has a very slender and long looking body but it usually looks like that since they are wearing very tight clothing and he is very thin and tall to begin with height also makes you look thinner than you actually are as well

I think it is also because Yurio hasn't passed puberty yet (he is 15 years old) so his body has not built much muscle, giving him a more slender look. In later episodes, Yurio does say that his body will change.

I love the way he chose to express his femininity through the dance, truly beautiful I love this series already it helps me see skating as the art form that it is and helping express the deepest human desires in an outstanding choreography of movements 💖 its so exhilarating my heart is left pounding after each episode

Whenever I need motivation to continue figure skating I watch Yuri On Ice. As a figure skater you can get unmotivated and want to give up because things are hard even after you practice them over and over. Yuri On Ice motivates me to keep going. I want to compete some day.

Ooooooh I get it. After my 7 millionth viewing of this damn show. The expression Yuuri makes at 17:56 is the same one Victor made earlier, and then as the season progresses, he makes a different face each one- this one since it's the beginning he's still mimicking Victor cause he's still insure and working on making the program his.

^ what they said, most advanced athletes do homeschooling to focus more time on training. I did competitive swimming when I was in middle/high school and had to study from home because of training times & competitions
