Seeing him fight Jack or for real with Kaito would be nightmare fuel, with predator counters ability.. but no, just like the rest of Arc V - it was wasted potential.. just my opinion tho

Yeah, I mean seriously He and Jayden have actual arcs that are kind of interesting, you could even say Bastion did, even if it was VERY unorthodox, from prodigy, to social outcast, to accepting that he doesn't really need the approval of others and staying in another dimension with his furry waifu

Zane had some awesome development as well. Enjoyed his story, from being the a pampered prince of the academy to absolutely getting wrecked by the real world and then embracing both half to truly become himself. But he did pay a price. It’s kinda relatable.

Chazz and Jaden had the most duels in the show then all the characters combined. Yet chazzes dueling never got better. His only big win was over aster who was never seen on screen having another victory after he got his heros to fill power. And yet chazz never beat bastard at a duel. Dude let him win in the second game. Which puts chazz as the fourth best since Zane and Jaden are still better. And Jesse yubel beat Zane and Jaden never beat yubel. Which means means Jaden never surpassed Zane. So yubel is still the better duelist on the show. Next to yugi who was final allowed to duel Jaden at the end.

Yeah, GX is a great show and, even with all its flaws, Arc-V is a favorite of mine too :)

Read the Manga version of GX, Chazz stole alot of the spotlight there. Just avoid the Arc-V manga since even the anime was better than that mess

I’ve actually seen a theory where all the four pervious protagonist souls were merged with the fragments of Zarc. Yuya and Yugi were merged. Yuri and Jaden/Judai, Yugo and Yusei, and Yuto and Yuma. It actually does explain how Yuri was the only one who became evil as well because Jaden/Judai was the Supreme King of Darkness and the fact that he merged his soul with Yubel. I also kinda find it funny that if this theory were true, than Yuya could quite possibly be the most OP protagonist of all the protagonist.

I guess the arguement for Yuto having Yuma’s stupidity could be him mistaking Yuzu for Lulu. But a much stronger connection could be Yuto and Yuma’s obsessive and impulsive behavior.

There would probably be some counter as multiple in the neos line have negation effects but in the end I think Jaden would win aasuming he got arc 5 level cards as well. As a duelist, he simply has too many feats compared to others, one of which being beating darkness. To those who know, they know.

Obviously you would pit someone using 2004-2008 cards against someone using cards around the times of 2018+. When I say Arc-V level cards, I mean cards released at that time.

Arc V probably had the best duel disks in my opinion. Besides having some really cool designs, they were also the easiest ones to activate compared to the models shown in previous series, it shuffles the deck for you unlike in DM-5DS where you have to do it manually, and it's screen lets you look at the cards on the field and read them if you so wish (it's somewhat implied you can read the opponent's cards when Reiji saw Odd Eyes Pendulum Dragon go to the Extra Deck but I don't know if it's explicitly confirmed) and it even lets you scroll through cards if you activate a searching from the deck effect.

I doubt that Yuri was evil from Zarc's influence. He was always a vase full of evil and Zarc is player 2.

The point of Season 4 wad the character deciding what to do with their lifes, like Syrus and Chazz deciding to be pro duelists, Crowler not wanting his students to go away, and Alexis deciding to go away from Duel Academy since all her friends were too. Likewise, Darkness was using ilusions of all their dreams falling to make them lose hope. Like the guy above said, people just think not winning duels equals to not getting development.

Manjoume, Sho, Chronos sensei, Kaiser, Edo, Misawa (even if it wasn't satisfying), Amon, O'Brien, even Hayato all were very well developed. Honestly it might be yugioh show with some of the best character development

Especially since the ojamas and VWXYZ got decent support while no one plays a dedicated predaplant deck

@@megabladechronicles962 I mean, Predaplants also got support in DIFO so now they can pull multi-negate boards and abuse stuff like the branded engine (even without Verte), the new Therions and super Poly. + generic plant support like Lonefire blossom. While the Ojamas and XYZ machines are gimmicky table 500 decks at most, a good player with proper deckbuilding can probably win some locals with them once in a while

That's five out of... how many? *checks notes* Alexis, Bastion, Hassleberry, Sartorious, the Light of Destruction, yandere masochistic non-binary love of a past life, Jim, Shirley, Jesse, Dr. Fonda, Sheppard... Yeah, I can go on and on about things I disliked about GX (and DM to be fair), but in GX it hurts more because of timing (started watching it like a year after high school, so it was genuinely fun for me and I enjoyed it because of the whole cast).

Not to mention the storyline is just average. Zexal, starting slow but the story get better and better after each episodes. The character development for each characters is just marvelous. GX and Zexal are the best.

@@casual3364 The difference is the original never pretended to be about anyone who wasn't a duelist, Tea, Tristan, and Duke were all supporting characters and the show knew that. In GX everyone is introduced like they're going to be key players but unless you're Jaden, Zane, Jesse, or Yubel they all became background and supporting characters.
