That would look pretty cute. Like if Yusei could bring his cards to life like with duel spirits, him being 7ish? As Speed Warrior/Junk Warrior helps him.
Omg I love Leo an Luna just arguing about it being a date or not Leo: do you feel like a third wheel Luna: This isn't a date Leo Leo: See this totally is a date Luna: Leo, he's trying to teach her something about turbo dueling Leo: still thinking this isn't a date? Luna: okay, this is totally a date
David Laush Yeah. Or he put some together, I'm sure that the skates wheels could be from skateboards, and the "shoe" could be wood with straps to keep you from falling off.
This is my favorite scene because Yusei is the only one who doesn't realize nor feel he is on a date with Akiza. Because he doesn't see this whole scene as a date, he just thinks he teaching Akiza how to ride a duel runner but there are many people including Akiza who see it differently.
not for long. is kinda amusing that despite yusei having a very stoic, aloof and sometimes similar to atem's personality, he had a moment of typical moment MC anime of being oblivious to the context.
I love the fact that Leo (who comes off the goofball sibling) acknowledged that this is a date while Luna (the more down-to-earth sister) kept denying that.
They play off each other well as sibling, but eventually Luna had to agree there was more to Yusei and Akiza Skating with each other than meets the eye.
Is it wrong that I have a soft spot for Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds? And, despite the massive internet meme its become because of Little Kuriboh, I genuinely do like the concept of Turbo Dueling.
Okay, good. In terms of how I rate the series, the first is legendary, but has that problem now where it really shows that it was the first (only super apparent in seasons 1 and 2). GX looks okay, but I haven't seen enough to get a good idea. I love 5Ds (even the english dub); Yusei and Akiza are probably my favorite male and female protagonist in the Yu-Gi-Oh shows (Akiza actually does stuff and isn't just limited to a cheerleader like Tea or Tori. Again, haven't seen enough GX to get a good idea of Alexis). Zexal looks like its got a few things going for it, but I havn't heard good things about. Arc-V I have no idea about anything to do with it besides Jack and Crow are in it and there is Pendulum summoning.
MrChillaxin2010 I've only come across 1 person who doesn't like the original series but it's almost universally agreed to be the best series or one of the best (to me it's 2nd best). I used to love GX as a kid but watching it now it does have it's flaws (a lot of them that I noticed) such as an overly kiddish tone and inconsistent plot but once you get to the 3rd season it isn't a problem and starts to get it's act together. 5Ds - My favorite. Akiza's my favorite female character. I don't know if I want to say Yusei's my favorite male character. Either I'd say he's my 2nd favorite character overall or he ties for #1 with Yami Yugi (Although I can say Yusei & Akiza are my favorite pairing). But to me 5Ds is almost perfect. If it didn't have those pointless filler episodes and changed the plot of them to something to further develop it's characters than I'd say it is a perfect series. Zexal - It's my least favorite series but once you get to the 2nd half of it, it has a *VERY* interesting and well done story (although it's duels overall leave a lot to be desired). Arc-V - So far it's been *REALLY* good. Jack and Crow have appeared and have somewhat new decks or at least new cards that revolve around the same tactics they used in 5Ds. Crow is still using Blackwings & Jack is still using Red Dragon Archfiend (albeit a different version of it). It's story is getting better and better as time goes on (but if you watch it, don't expect to see Yusei. The Jack & Crow in Arc-V are AU Versions of the people you saw in 5Ds).
+TheShapeH31 In terms of duels from each series, these are my favorites: Original: Joey vs. Marik (This duel really shows how far Joey's come in the series at this point. Not to mention he's the first one to legit frighten Marik after he survives Ra's attack and actually beat him if it hadn't been a shadow game.) Honorable Mentions: Yugi vs. Kaiba (Battle city obviously) and Kaiba vs. Zigfried GX: Jaden vs Aster's second duel (Yu-Gi-Oh had a habit of making the main protagonist almost never lose (In fact, not counting a flashback, Yusei has a pretty much perfect record) and their first duel was one of Jaden's major losses. It was great to see him bounce back with his debut of Neos) Honorable Mentions: Jaden/Bastion vs. Tania (only because of all the Futurama jokes I get to make) and Jaden vs. Professor Viper 5Ds: Team 5Ds vs. Team Unicorn (Specifically Jean vs Yusei. This is one of, if not, the closest duels I've seen in the series. It was amazing to get to see Yusei defeat 3 guys in a row (even if the ending was a bit of a cop out depending on the version) Plus, Akiza, my favorite, got in on one of her only turbo duels.) Honorable Mentions: Yusei vs. Jack (final duel), Jack, Leo and Luna vs. Aporia, and Team 5Ds vs Team Ragnarok (Crow vs. Broder particularly) Zexal (haven't seen enough of to get a good idea, but if I had to pick): Kite vs. Mizar (Kite is one of the few things I like about Zexal, and this seemed like a fitting conclusion to a rivalry between duelist)
MrChillaxin2010 I hate talking about my channel on other videos because it makes feel like one of those guys who just comes to other videos to advertise their channels and nothing more. But I'm actually content creator and I've made videos rating my favorite duels from most of the series.
*Japanese Dub of this scene* *[Yusei & Akiza at the skating rink]* Leo: Are we a 3rd Wheel? Luna: You know this isn't a date right? Yusei: This is the best way to learn how it feels *[Skates around a bit]* *[Akiza tries to skate and falls and Yusei catches her]* Yusei: Don't tell me you've never skated before. Akiza: *Lightly Blushes* I've never come to a place like this before. Leo: This *IS* a date Luna: Hmm, I can see why you'd think that *[Insert a montage of Yusei & Akiza skating but with no dialouge]* Leo: They look like they're having a lot of fun... Luna: Maybe they really are on a date Yusei: That's it! Keep it up! Akiza: I just need to focus on my center of gravity, right? Hmmmm the fact that Yusei is smiling more in this one scene alone with Akiza (practically the entire time) than he does for a good portion of this series is saying something. Now think about this my friends. Yusei loves his D-Wheel right? Why let a guy who almost killed him ride it but he won't even let someone so much as even touch Akiza?
@@saran3546 Yeah well i did hear somewhere that the voice actor original one got pregnant halfway through the series and let someone take over so maybe after the series ended she didn't think of it and the fanbase didn't want it or push for it enough to help reach that goal or if the fanbase did want it then it could be she is busy with other stuff like her Hubby i was just hoping as ironic & weird as it seems that yusei's actor could have been hers too :P
Honestly seeing Yusei and akiza together really makes my heart melt. They are perfect together. And I love how Luna wasn’t convinced that it was a date instead of a lesson on turbo dueling. Leo had it right ool
One thing that's consistent with Yugioh aside from saving the world with card games, is that the series has a really bad habit of building up romantic relationships between two characters and doing absolutely nothing with them. Tea never confesses to Yugi, Mai never admits to her feelings for Joey, Alexis never confesses to Jaden (Tho in his case he already swore his love to another), Aki never confesses her love to Yusei, although thankfully Kotori break this tread (In the final Goddamn episode) Seems like all girls are just happy crushing from afar, never really building a future with someone they love which is lame as all given fuck.
+Netherwolf6100 Tori actually did confess to Yuma (depending on which subbed version you watch. The subbed version I saw had her telling Yuma she loves him and his smile). As for Akiza, she actually tried to confess to him and you could say he got the hint and did what she intended to do in his own way but Yusei and Akiza got farther in regards to a relationship than the other protagonist and main girls since that last scene did show something between them and left a pretty big opening for the future of their relationship.
+Netherwolf6100 I don't know if you know, but just in case, Takahashi explained "years" ago that "Yugi and Anzu(Tea for you 4kids folk) "always" act in a "very careful" manner in front of one another, so they cannot admit their feelings for one another." He also said that Jonounchi(Joey for the 4kids folk) and Mai are just "close friends." He seems to want to avoid putting his characters in relationships. That was a decade ago, let's hope he does it in Dark Side of Dimensions. Asuka(Alexis for the 4kids folk) was going to confess to Judai(Jaden) in the last season, but she changed her mind mid sentence and told him that she was thankful to meet. Yusei and Aki's(Akiza, but I find it weird you call her Aki this time lol) relationship is down right spoon-fed to us in the last episode that it would be impossible for someone to think they didn't know the other person's feelings. Kotori(Again, you're being inconsistent lol) tells Yuma: "I love you and that smile of yours, Yuma" Yuma: "Eh? Huh? Then blushes for a second." He proceeds to act normal again like it was nothing. The spin-offs are handling confessions better than Takahashi. He has one last chance to get it right with at least Yugi and Anzu next year.
Has anybody else noticed that at the end of the subbed version of 5ds that Yusei sei and Akiza stare into each other's eyes and then Aki closes them shortly after. Idk about u but 2 me u don't do that unless u just kissed somebody. Yes my theory is that they kissed "off screen" basically. The same thing happend in Dragonball Z Goku and Chichi kissed once but it wasn't shown directly.
What? Kotori DID confess to Yuma. Hell, the fact that she DID confess is what made that scene so memorable. I know she confessed did they remove it in the dub?
I'm telling you if owned the rights to yugioh! 5ds I would scout the internet for the most creative writers who wrote a Yugioh 5ds fanfic and we would all work together and ship Yusei and Akiza along with Jack and Carly and possibly a few others
nate hazel that would be so awsome. When I watched 5ds and saw the relationship of Jack and Carly I just screamed everytime I saw them together. I MEAN HOW CAN THEY NOT BE DATING?!
Julian Ortega bro same. They need to have closure like have Akiza marry Yusei or sum. Ik she becomes a doctor but like wtf at least have them end up together why did eveyone split
Snakee yes well I agree it sucked but the whole point was that now that they had defeated basically everything they didn't have to be signers anymore and they were free to live the rest of their lives to their own free will and that obviously took them their separate ways but I like to think that Yusei did end up marrying Akiza later in life
Leo and Luna arguing about if Yuesi and Akiza rollerblading is a date was really good. To Leo and Luna, I say that it was both a turbo dueling lesson and a date rolled up into one.
Ah a hobo with just a deck and a motorcycle teaching a witch to skate as two rich kids watch them like a television sitcom. This feels oddly realistic now that i say it out loud.
Who can't like watching YuGiOh 5Ds? In my opinion, it was good having a mature protagonist in a series who thought carefully about his decisions, I just wish he noticed Akiza's crush on him more, I think they would have made a great couple.
@@saran3546 yeah. Especially cause with Mina i just feel bad for Trudge. The dude tries so hard and basically gets forgotten. Ironically he was basically the last one to talk to Yusei in the Finale.
@@saran3546 btw different topic altogether, but am i the only one disappointed by the fact we only got Jack and Crow back in Pendulum. Like if we had adult Leo show up i might've even watched it.
The dub totally killed the romantic vibe in this scene. The music in the background is constantly trying to make it a joke, let alone the liberties they took with the dialogue.
+Joshcoshbagosh I don't mind them either. Although I myself wouldn't mind seeing someone dub the last season. FUNImation would be best because they aren't complete pussies like 4Kids and won't be afraid to show blood or anything 4Kids deems a "no-no"
@Trashy Garbage Can that sounds so weird they would be more people satisfied with an ending of Aki and Yusei together. The majority of fans if 5Ds or even in Yugioh in general think that Yusei and Aki with Jack and Carly are the best couples up to this date. I think it's more the stupid belief of the Japanese creators that if a series it's a shonen they shouldn't put any romantic concluding relationship.
Could you make a video with the scene when yusei shows Akiza that she need to learn how to drift backward on the race track from the same episode you got the scene from please
I know Akiza was kinda sheltered, then brainwashed by a cult.....but still, how the hell does she not skate before when Yusei. The kid who grew up on the streets of the satellite does.
After 5ds dueling went from playing with your favorite cards to a deck with no favorites and only overpowered one turn kill cards. Dueling is suppose to be fun and now its competitive. In the past we'd buy packs to see if we got a favorite card. Now its people spending $1000 to get the overpowered cards and throwing away the rest.
*After 5Ds ended* Opponent: "Alright! Let's flip a coin to see who goes first! Nice, I go first!" Me: "Ok bye! Nice duel. Gg. Peace!" Opponent: "...um...ok"
