I was just thinking how no one seems to take a crack at reacting to any of the Yugioh series, and then I stumble onto you! The algorithm’s reading my mind. And you’re in for such a treat, especially with the subbed version

Synchro Summoning is one of the first ‘gimmick’ mechanics added to the game. The idea being that you have a set of Synchro monsters set aside from the deck that can easily be summoned, usually to use as a more reliable boss monster. You do it by having a tuner monster and at least one other on the field. If the levels add up to the Synchro monster you want to play, you sacrifice the both of them to pop out that monster.

Is funny you said Junk Warrior looked weak at first sight, because thats more or less the point of it, Yusei monsters are low level, have low attack stats, on there own they are weak, but working together they become strong, and I think thats a beautiful message.

When a monster attacks a monster in ATK mode. The different between their ATK is subtracted from the player who lost the fight. DEF mode monster absorb damage for the owner. Monsters that attack the opponent directly take damage equal to the Monster's ATK to their LP. It's just that you were guessing how much damage a player was taking each time.

oh and i will add 2 things: 1. Synchro summoning is one of my favorite mechanics in the game. 2. Shadow Spell is one of my favorite trap cards too. so Jack has good taste 👌🏻

fun fact: that police officer, Tetsu Ushio, was bulling the MC OF THE ORIGINAL SERIES in season 0 (!) of Yugioh. bro never learns. now he was beaten by ANOTHER MC 💀

Well this is certainly a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one nonetheless! Never in my wildest dreams did I expect you to be reacting to any of the Yugioh anime and that you’d be starting with 5D’s, my favorite of them all. 😊 Hope you enjoy watching it. I know “card games on motorcycles” seems like a ridiculous concept at first (I for one felt that way). But believe me, it won’t be long till it ends up feeling like the coolest thing ever. Oh, and if you’re unfamiliar with how to play Yugioh, you might want to read the rulebook for the game.

Hell yeah, this my childhood right here, 5D's is Yugioh! at its peak! Fun Fact: Jack Atlas's Ace Monster, Red Dragon Archfiend which he will call his "very soul" (Waga tamashi, in Japanese) actually represents his Philosophy on Dueling with its Card effects. Its First Effect, "After damage calculation, if this card attacked an opponent's Defense Position monster: Destroy all Defense Position monsters your opponent controls." this Effect represents how Jack views the weak as those who don't deserve mercy as they won't fight back and instead cower in Defense. Its Secound Effect: "Once per turn, during your End Phase: Destroy all other monsters you control that did not declare an attack this turn. This card must be face-up on the field to activate and to resolve this effect." this Effect represents how Jack will betrays those close to him, if they don't Attack with him, which is reflected in his desire for power and rise to the status of The King by crushing anyone, friend or enemy who gets in his way.

I only watched the first yugioh series, and tbh, I'll watch your reactions on 5ds too. I've never watched 5ds before and i hope it holds up.

I have seen the dub of this show, and from what I can see, the first two episodes are more or less the same, with some changes to what are being said, but there will be some censored things in later episodes of the dubbed version, but since it was done by 4kids, it's not that big a surprise.

5D's still has the top YGO OST to me.

You should genuinely give zexal a shot. Its overheated and most people who do hate it hasn't gotten past season 1. Its one of the better Yu-Gi-Ohs.

To all the peeps saying "please watch the English dub version" Don't you realize how much 4kid butchered the damn thing with their dub? Lackluster soundtracks, soulless voice acting, content cut like no tomorrow.

The best Yu-gi-oh series but my 2nd favorite after GX, I still in love with DC super hero + Kamen Rider + Ultraman deck but Stardust Dragon and Infernity also cool

Thank you so much for reacting to this because this is such an amazing season, I hope more people can react to this. Yugioh 5D's has MUUUUUCH better voice acting and MUSIC, not to mention less censorship, in the Bonds Beyond Time movie, they censored grunts/sounds from the Monsters in duels and even the script of the movie since it addressed 'dark' or 'mature' themes like poverty and discrimination. Like what the heck. The west tries to dumb everything down yet think certain other things that are way too adult/inappropriate to be propagandized toward children.

can u give Yugioh Sevens a look at at least the first 2 episodes sometime soon and just gonna say don't give the MC of Sevens flag cuz he does actually have the most loses on screen in Yugioh but the format of Rush duels which he created lend themselves to this cuz anyone can turn the battle over at any time cuz the rules are different and i bet ud really enjoy the show Subbed please

You're missing out. They censor some things here and there, sure, I mean it's aimed at a younger audience, but you don't miss much. And trust me, it's worth it, the dub is PEAK! XD In the dub, Rally didn't steal it, it was left out where he could find it as a trap for Yusei by Jack and his cronies. Plus, characters are voiced by OG Yugioh legends, like Dan Green.
