Yusei Fudo, the protagonist of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's is a character that is often defined completely differently depending on who one talks to. And in this video, I attempt to bring some light to what I believe to be one of the most underrated characters in the medium. By analyzing his most important character dynamics and how they tie back into his narrative.

Wait, so Yusei is a self-sacrificing individual who wants to protect his friends, feels massively guilty about a past destructive event, and is also a survivor? Holy shoot, so that's not only why Stardust tributes itself to activate its effect, but also why it prevents destruction effects and returns during the end phase. Now that's brilliant card design Edit: I am so glad you broke down Red Dragon Archfiend and Stardust's effects. While these effects are janky, the reasonings behind them are amazing

Black rose as well explains the self-destructive nature early Aki had during the time she was conflicted with her powers. Life stream and ancient fairy dragon are way more subjective, but I like to interpret life stream as Leo's will to protect those around him (especially Luna) from any harm and Ancient Fairy as Luna leaving her own world of fantasies and waking up to reality (hence why it pops field spells) and how her power isn't meant to fight but rather to protect those around her (which is why it summons a monster in exchange for the battle phase). I feel like Armor master is a way more fitting boss for crow than Dragon but you can interpret it as you wish

Yusei and Crow are very similar in character, that is why they are the only Signers who shared the same Mark. While Yusei is willing to sacrifice himself, which is reflected in Stardust Dragon's effect to tribute itself to stop destruction effects; Crow is willing to take the pain of others, which is why Black-Winged Dragon is able to absorb effect damage dealt to it's owner, reflecting Crow's (and Pearson's) willingness to selflessly fight for others in need.

How to write a proper ygo protagonist done RIGHT. Yusei's character growth over the massive guilt for his father's past mistakes not being his sins to bear was BEAUTIFULLY written. It exemplifies that Yusei is just an emotionally flawed human character with his own inner turmoils, as he had to live knowing the truth about him inheriting the guilt, and sins of his father for so, SO long without realizing it. And even AFTER knowing it, it STILL haunts him, and eats away his moral conscience where he had to fight to suppress his own inner demons. Maybe that's what drove his resolve SO hard in surpassing his limits, so that he can create a newfound power where he's strong enough to ultimately save, and preserve the future of his friends, and those precious to him in the present to make up for what his father had done. It ties in PERFECTLY to Yusei's self-sacrificing nature, and willingness to ALWAYS put others first before his own well-being, the source of not only his weakness but also his STRENGTH, one where Yusei could prevent another tragedy like Zero Reverse from EVER happened again. And you wanna know what's even more picturesque? That even though the past calamity was done, it did not mean a future one was exempt from occurring. Something Yusei resolved himself to pave the way in preventing altogether. But, in a way, all of what happened in the past can considered a GOOD thing for Yusei. For if it weren't for Yusei's father, and the creation of the Ener-D that resulted in the Zero Reverse incident, then Yusei would've never met his fellow Signer companions, forge new bonds of friendship with 'em, connect people's hopes together regardless of social class, empower and unite those same people by helping them grow STRONGER so that they in turn can also help him AND his friends grow stronger TOGETHER, and all in an effort to create newfound hope in paving the way to salvage, and foolproof the apocalyptic future from happening, where, one day, the past will become nothing but a memory, one that was not in vain. It is the ONLY way to honor the regretful sacrifices of those that came before. AMAZING writing! P.S. Seriously, how the hell did we went from a masterpiece such 5D's, to something that missed the mark so, SO bad as Arc-V...? This is something I will NEVER be able to understand for as long as I live... 😑

If only Zexal had a better mc that lived up to the role of protagonist AND duelist. Kaito, his rival, was better written in that department. Because I feel that Yuma literally couldn't win without Shining Draw hax plot armor bs that he acquired later as a crutch, similarly to how Yuya couldn't win without Action Cards with the rule book literally thrown out the window as they dimension hopped to different dimensions where Action Duels should NOT apply. Maybe it would gain more appeal to ygo fans if BOTH Zexal, AND Arc V had better protagonists that represented their respective series. This is like comparing the new generation of ygo vs the old ones, similarly to the current state of WWE. They can't measure up, let alone possess the charisma to live up to the legacy of the old past generation of duelists that came before 'em, and the mark they left behind in ygo history made memorable. We had a duelist whose first intial impression as an mc being a bunch of losses laced with incompetence before he can start creating made-up cards out of nowhere. And don't even get me started with Arc V's protagonist. He gave off more comic relief vibes than any other ygo protagonist I've seen in history. 😒 P.S. No hate on Zexal, just stating the truth for what it is.

@@Evil_Beauty Ehh I moreso consider Shark being the rival considering they dueled way more times and they both influenced each other's characters way more along with the fact that they've both won and lost against each other. With Kite (sorry I prefer the dub names lmao) it was extremely one sided with Yuma making use of many advantages (like shining draw) and being unable to win to where I couldn't consider it a rivalry not to mention Yuma not developing as a character much from their duels and Yuma only adding an influence on Kite's character after their final duel. Shark on the other hand is a very even and fair rivalry and they both have such a great influence on one another and they both have advantages that cancel out like Yuma's Shining draw and Nasch's Barian Chaos draw (later season I know but previous to that Yuma never used Zexal on Shark) Yuma I feel captured the coming of age story better than Jaden did who was already a competent duelist sure he wasn't mature as a person but his character growing was the only change we really saw (though I definitely have some issues with it). Yuma was someone that is naive, hates the idea of responsibility and is too stubborn to learn but only through seeing the consequences of his actions and seeing that someone is depending on him and considers him his Hope we see him grow not only as a duelist but as a character who bears that symbol very well. Personally I think Yuma is a good protagonist but the problem is him being a kid made the series look unserious. Yuya really was just a miss in terms of being a character. His ideals of smiling no matter how bad it gets just gets forced way too hard to where it becomes unbearable (almost as much as that kid that can't stop talking about shivers) and it especially gets bad when he forces it onto others. In terms of the action duels in different dimensions that's already explained that Reiji just makes a device that introduces it to the other dimensions
@Evil_Beauty
@Evil_Beauty 4 месяца назад
@@Honest_Mids_Masher The only reason why I even considered Kaito as Yuma's, "rival", moreso than, "Shark" (other than the underwhelming fact that that dumb nickname exists), was that Kaito gave off more the aesthetic look, and vibe as an actual Kaiba-esque rival than, "Shark", ever could pull off with him selling his own brand of, "rivalry". I mean, Kaito's attire, let alone signature ACE monster, literally mimics, and SCREAMS that of Kaiba's aesthetic style down to a 'T' that made it impossible to ignore the semblance. His long white trench coat. His Galaxy-EYES Dragon. Him even having a younger BROTHER, and is the overprotective sibling in the relationship. It almost felt like the director who wrote the script for Zexal WANTED to make Kaito the rival, but had second thoughts because he thought it felt WAY too close to home with DM's rivalry, which was already done. But I guess that's where the problem lies, let alone stemmed from with Yuma's EXTREMELY flawed character when he couldn't once beat Kaito. And that is, he really couldn't match up with Kaito's pace, let alone live up to be his rival given the handling of his character. Which was one of the reasons why I considered it to be a waste of potential, let alone the reason that held Zexal back A LOT as an overall series. But then again, Zexal's written formula for how they characterized the main cast felt like they were trying to imitate DM's cast, anyway. Which they failed miserably. Also, I have to disagree with you on the english dub names. ESPECIALLY after how many scandalous revelations being brought to light lately as of now in how english wokelizers abused their job position in purposely mistranslating, and butchering MANY IP franchises to suit their narrative, simply because they didn't like how the script was originally written for those IPs. Which extends to even character names having to being changed for whatever god known dumb reason. And they've gotten away with this insidious act in promoting the lies, and misinformation for many MANY years on end, especially when it came to any imported japanese media overseas, such as anime, video games, and manga. This evidently caused a rift in many fanDUMB communities over the misrepresentation of the very fictional works that it was these wokelizers sole JOB to translate, as IS. No more, no less. So I can't really relate to preferring ANY english dub name changes after knowing this truth. With 4KIDS being notorious for this. Since I really haven't watched Zexal after 5D's ended, and pretty much fell out of love with everything related to ygo altogether, so I can't comment much on how Zexal handled Yuma's character as a whole for me to say anything on the matter other than what I already do know looking up his bio. But I CAN comment on Judai (or as you like to call him, "Jaden"), since I've actually watched GX, and can say A LOT 'bout him and his character. It took Judai literally FOUR SEASONS to actually grow, and mature as an actual character compared to Yuma. But the main difference here between Yuma, and Judai, is that, in the world of ygo, where literally EVERYTHING revolves around their card game, Judai sells WAY better than Yuma ever could. And at the end of the day, I think that's where Judai wins himself out, regardless of his character growth compared to Yuma. Hell, I think many people within the ygo fanDUMB COMMUNITY would resonate more with Judai's character growth more, simply because he sells how an actual REAL shounen protagonist should, and ultimately how a realistic duelist would be. Judai after all, is a spitting image of every stereotypical high school teenager is, and made for shounen audiences. Yuya didn't just miss the mark as a character, he was the epitome of cringe as a WHOLE. Like... his style of dueling didn't even help with the fact that his duels were not only forcing characters in the show to smile, but also the viewers, as well. It didn't feel unbearable, it felt INSUFFERABLE! Because not ONCE does he stop yapping about, "egaos", let alone let go of that motto of his. And this even affected the plot where his dueling philosophy in certain situations felt unrealistically wack, and TOTALLY out-of-place. Which even EXTENDS to his interactions with OTHER characters like an infectious disease where he completely invalidates their reality by brainwashing them that everything will be sunshine and rainbows. But the most disheartening thing 'bout it all, was that THIS character was created by the very same director who created 5D's... 😑
@Honest_Mids_Masher
@Honest_Mids_Masher 4 месяца назад
@@Evil_Beauty Yeah tbh the look and monster is the only reason people put him as the main rival. Tbh I'm glad they didn't do it because just having it be a copy of Yugi and Kaiba's rivalry would've been boring and extremely uncreative which along with the fact that Zexal already has enough similarities to DM as is. Tbf late Barian Arc right before the Don Thousand duel it definitely felt like Yuma and Ryouga both surpassed Kaito by that point especially with how easily a character like that was able to beat Mizael who was Kaito's rival. Btw while Yuma never beat Kaito despite them both being rivals keep in mind that Kaiba despite being Yugi's rival was never able to get a proper win against him. In most of the series (DM and Vrainz being the exception) the rival has always gotten a win against the protagonist. Manjoume could've gotten a win against Judai but but was forced not to, Ryo beat Jaden (if you count him as the rival). Jack has beaten Yusei once before, Reiji has beaten Yuya. I actually like the cast in Zexal far more than DM because in terms of development not much was actually done with the characters in DM outside of Yugi. Jonuichi really just peaked at battle city with his duel with Marik and wasn't really relevant afterwards. Kaiba Is pretty much a jobber for most of the series too and doesn't even change as a character outside of being less harsh. It's really only Yugi and Atem that grows. I was just saying I use the dub names because that's what most people use and I'm more comfortable with using. I do use the sub names for Arc V characters and Vrainz characters because most people use those. I did watch Zexal in dub though so there's probably stuff I'm missing. The only thing I know about sub is that Utopia's name becomes "Hope" which is easy to correlate to Yuma's character being a hopeful naive kid. I get a lot of hate for what I say about GX but suffice to say I absolutely hated Judai during season 3-4. The story while being about maturity goes about it in the worst way possible. During season 3 where his friends keep on telling him to wait up for them and to not run off he does the exact opposite which gets them captured not once, twice and when they're about to get sacrificed they start blaming him and yet he acts like he doesn't know what he did wrong. Then in season 4 he acts completely dismissive towards his friends for most of season 4 over his guilt and then just leaves them at the end without saying goodbye or anything. To me that didn't scream mature at all. Maybe I didn't get it, maybe I was looking at it the wrong way but that definitely ruined a lot of GX for me and then there's even more issues with how the rest of the cast becomes jobbers or completely forgotten or even being replaced is why It's my least favorite of the series (even lower than Arc V is crazy I know) I mean sure Yuya has a cute design so that's gotta be worth something, but of course if I were to lets say wear a Bunny outfit with a pink ribbon while also having a charming way to capture a crowd but I just told a child going through depression "just get over it" I'd probably be hated for my entire life so I guess it is definitely an enigma on how people like him 💀 What's funny is his duels aren't even that entertaining to me if anything Sawatari did it way better and I was constantly cheering for him despite him being an arrogant wimp because he was just that stylish and had a ton of dramatic flair. I initially thought I'd hate him. A lot of the Arc V cast is very colourful and interesting and yet all soo different but unfortunately Yuya is the party pooper of the show.

If anyone has EVER said half this stuff, let me know where I can find them! I wanna be their best friend “Underrated”. You’re right, let me clarify. I find Yusei as a CHARACTER, Underrated. Yusei as a person is anything but underrated, people love the guy. But again, the majority of people’s blind praise for Yusei fits into the categories of “He’s cool”, “He’s powerful” or “He’s mature and dark”. With very little appreciation/knowledge for anything deemed a struggle. I have seen plenty of people who dislike 5D’s! And many who have disliked Yusei very adamantly! And I definitely wouldn’t call GX underrated! There are plenty of pseudo intellectual “geniuses” on the internet like you I’ve had more than enough conversations who go off like this but can never give any point or explanation to fortify anything that have to say! You’re not alone big boy! Mental Gymnastics? Of course there’s Mental Gymnastics aha! It’s a character analysis on YT! To make any “essay” on a fictional character, gymnastics need to be made. It’s not as if the writers of good stories spoonfeed everything to their viewers in a giant “40 Minute Essay Format” for them to dissect and reassemble aha! But I forgot, you’re a GX fan. The same show that was equivalent to nothing for the first 2 seasons, then got a great “3rd Season”. That’s just them explaining everything to you about how “evil” everyone is on a silver platter, with almost no showcase of the atrocities they’re accused of. *except Supreme King Judai only ever having on screen time to duel established main characters for no reason, rather than using that time to showcase to us as viewers with any form of subtlety the terrible things he’s accused of* ahaha These characters have totally been well written from the beginning guys! Trust me! Not like we’re just telling you this stuff now because we had zero idea what to do for 100 episodes and our cast could barely pass for characters in a marching band! We’re all just in good fun here! Sorry you feel that way! And in the same vein, this is another uninformed, ignorant blatant 5Ds hate comment that brings no benefit to anyone! Have a great day!

Ryo felt kinda bland imo and I never saw the appeal in Aster. Season 3 I actually hated funnily enough because Jaden became even more of a bad friend who leaves his entire group to save Johan which in turn leads to them getting sacrificed by dark world monsters and in their last moments where they accuse Judai of being a bad friend (despite them being under some form of control but tbh they should act like that without it) he acts like as if he did nothing wrong.

This only proves 5Ds fan boys love pulling mental gymnastics and will pull defense brigades to defend 5Ds. I rip on all YGO series. I rip on 5Ds harder cause you fan boys constantly defend anything so long as its 5Ds. I hate retroactive praise from 5Ds fans. Trying desperately to claim this show is deeper then it actually is. Ignoring the narrative is fundamentally broken and filled with contrive ideas and plot points. Yusei is not a deep character no matter what fan boys try to claim. He is the Gary Stu of 5Ds. Literally everything he does is done with very little struggle. The "struggle" is thrown out the window once Dark Signers and Yliaster plots begin. Also, he knows quantum physics despite that comes complete out of nowhere besides force narrative. Yliaster story arc is pinochle of production team have no clue what they were doing, which the show drastically changed from cult theme to Sci-Fi. I'm a cynical a-hole that hates fan boys and defense brigades. Especially 5Ds, and you fan boys only make me despise this series even harder. Cause all of you constantly prove you're all the same. Cause all of you go full defense brigade when some dares criticize 5Ds cause that's what fan boys do.

The symbolism in monster effects continued even after 5D's end with the release of Ruddy Rose Dragon in 2021. While Black Rose Dragon represents Aki's state when she was first introduced - an emotionally wounded young woman lashing out at the world - Ruddy Rose Dragon represents her after her character development. Ruddy Rose Dragon is a Level 10 Fire Attribute Dragon type Synchro monster with 3200 ATK, 2400 DEF, and generic summoning conditions. When Synchro Summoned, Ruddy Rose Dragon can banish everything from both graveyards, then, if it was summoned using Black Rose Dragon or a Plant type Synchro monster as material, it can destroy all OTHER cards on the field. This change from Black Rose Dragon's board wipe isn't just power creep; Aki had been getting better at controlling her powers even as they grow stronger and is no longer a danger to herself, so naturally Ruddy Rose no longer blows itself up to reflect that. Instead of the additional offensive effect of BRD, Ruddy Rose instead opts to take a Stardust-esque defensive effect; When an effect is activated that would destroy a card(s), Ruddy Rose Dragon can tribute itself, negate that effect, and then summon a Black Rose Dragon from the graveyard or extra deck. The impact Yusei has had on Aki's life cannot be understated, and the fact that Ruddy Rose Dragon has a variant of Stardust Dragon's effect indicates just how much of an influence he is on her. Or it's just a nod to that pairing basically becoming canon with Aki stopping just short of confessing and Yusei not only seeming to catch on, but reciprocate at the end of the series.

I see it's ability to banish the GYs as it severing itself from it's past as well. Worth noting that it loses it's sadistic binding attack in exchange for Victim Sanctuary as well, retaining only Aki's determination combined with Yusei's self-sacrificing kindness which twice saved her

Z-One didn’t secretly hope to be oposed. He quite openly gave Yusei the tools to oppose him and Yusei even realises what he’s done. It’s not contradictory. It’s having two ways of solving the problem completely and hoping he won’t have to pick the one where everyone dies. And playing the badguy because that is the only way Yusei will grow past himself and do what Z-One couldn’t.
@jaymiechan
@jaymiechan Год назад
There's also the fact that he was of two minds of how to fix things, both taking the extremist route as well as holding out hope his hero would blow past him, reflecting his friends' names in action if not his own name: Paradox is obvious (reflected in trying to destroy the past while relying on it), Aporia is the same regarding equal yet conflicting premises (hatred of humanity but loving it), and antinomy is the conflict and incompatibility between two laws (Having to be both the means to power the Ark Cradle, yet also being the means to empower his friends). Z-One was a paradox in his own actions.
@haloangel21
@haloangel21 Год назад
I always thought it was Z-One challenging Yusei to be better than what he couldn’t provide in the future, despite already being described as a legendary figure. I do think the idea of Z-One taking on Yusei’s identity while forsaking his and revealing this to Yusei himself was probably the push he needed to listen and think about any kind of action he takes will affect the future (BBT also shows this in some form with Paradox). The concept, however, does make me frustrated since this came across as a potential idea that in the future, Yusei went to extreme measures after not being being able to save everyone. It plays around with different ways you can visualize it, so even if 5D’s chose to go a safe route, it gave Yusei an opportunity to grow even more.
@phantom-joke
@phantom-joke Год назад
Not sure if it means as much, but we see some retroactive characterization in the mobile game Duel Links. When Z-One, antinomy, etc. Interact with each other, they clearly agree that there are multiple potential solutions and have each resolved themselves to pursue their attempts even if it goes against the others'. In a way, it shows how they are open minded and closed minded at the same time

Yeah, i feel their dynamic seems to be kinda overlooked, probably because he's not the rival character and wasn't really an active duelist for plot reason. In some way he's arguably also Yusei's closest friend and fill the spot that Jack and Crow couldn't fill because they shares similar hobby of modifying D-Wheel. It's down to the point of him teaching Accel Synchro, and his death was one of Yusei's most emotional moment in the whole series.

Man you did not miss a single thing, even bringing up the duality of quasar and blazar. I also did some more digging and noticed that blazar shares its three effects with the T.G. accel synchros, with halberd cannon negating summons, shooting star expansion negating battles as well as it and blade blaster negating monster and spell/trap effects respectively, which to me signals the bond Z-one had with Antinomy, and how while halberd cannon required no sacrifice to negate summons, Antinomy sacrificed himself for Yusei, creating yet another duality. Top-notch editing, soundtrack choices, commentary and analysis!

The amount of effort, passion, and understanding of this show and its characters put into this video is worth recognition. Growing up, I found myself relating to Yusei in many ways. But especially in how he put the value of others before himself, almost instinctively, time and time again. To the point where it soon became clear that he was forgetting about his own self worth. His journey to find that value in himself, learning to stand alongside others rather than giving himself up, that resonated with me as a kid and it still does now.

I am amazed it took so long for this masterpiece to wind up in my recommended. 5ds is my favorite of the series by far (Sub of course), such amazing characters. You explained all this extremely well and pointed out things even I didn't pick up on. Like the monster effects. The music in this series is also awesome. My favorite being Yusei's original duel theme before he got Stardust. It starts off chill with guitar riffs, what sounds like an accordion, and then a 2nd guitar that build up into a fast pace that strides until the finale where the main part of it is the drums and guitar slowing down. Unfortunate since it's all of a sudden become super hard to find on RU-vid. Then there are the opening songs, the only one I can really say I like less is 4th one. 2 and 3 are my favorites, and 1 and 5 are absolute bops. (as they are entire songs outside of the opening intro's, if you didn't know.) Sorry for going on that for so long. Amazing video, I'm gonna need to rewatch this series soon.

It is lovely that Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds is getting the love it deserves! Personally, I had always enjoyed Yusei, his maturity, understanding towards others, not to mention his duels, the situational cards he uses part of the fun. I haven't shared the discontent of many over the fact he never loses, since not only are his duels fun, but the opponents are also formidable and place him in predicaments it is frequently entertaining to see how he overcomes. Besides that, he is not invincible: his first duel with Kiryu, even with the bike braking, would have been a loss for him; additionally, despite his skillful plays, his victory over Team Unicorn was not guaranteed, but rather happened due to Jean's inner turmoil and, as a result, the spur of the moment (personally, this is among my favourite duels). Well backed-up exploration of his character and the editing is lovely as well, loved you linked character quotes with imagery from the show to further elaborate on it visually. It has definitely changed how I perceive Yusei. The passion that has went into it shines through indeed, my subscription and my looking forward to more of your work becoming a path its light shines upon! Great work! The Yu-Gi-Oh anime as a whole is quite interesting to me, as it is an incredibly effective commercial that contains not just spectacle, but fun characters, often interesting stories or something deeper to think about too. I feel that the theme of bonds/connections, which you brought up here, is nicely explored in Zexal, a series that also needs more love. In the case of Zexal it is apparent how the connections Yuma makes with others help him both become a better duelist and mature. Despite their differences in character, many characters also end up benefiting internally from their interactions with Yuma, from Shark to villains such as Tron. Thus, I feel the way Zexal handles the theme of friendship and connections comes off really natural and conveys how meaningful interactions with others can transcend the great differences in our personalities and be mutual beneficial. In short, interactions and bonds are really helpful and enriching for both sides, at least that is interpreted Zexal. Thus, it kind of complements 5Ds. I do wonder if videos on the other Yu-Gi-Oh! series are planned, cause there are interesting things in all of them. Once again, great essay!

I completely disagree on that because he’s a reflection. He is what Goku could have become easily during the King Piccolo arc, and is the result of losing the battle and having no dragon balls.

Stardust Dragon is basically the Jesus Dragon: It dies to save others, and then resurrects itself.

This video is one of the best video analyses I've seen. I loved seeing you give words to what I've felt while watching 5Ds. Makes me want to rewatch the series even. Will you ever do something similar for the other Yu-Gi-Oh spinoffs?

Thank you for the kind words! I could potentially see myself doing something on the other series! GX is the most likely!

Excellent content. Really great analysis! Hope we can see more characters soon, especially Aki, such a great character that was unfortunately wasted. Although, her relationship with Yusei is one of the much beautiful in the Yugioh franchise.

Thank you so much for the kind words! Even though I do love Aki, I'm not sure if a video on her is in the cards at the moment! But ya never know what could happen!

Despite growing up in poverty, with a difficult chance for higher education. Yusei is actually the smartest protagonist in the series. Considering that he went on to specialize in the same field of research as his father.

Yusei is the type of character that transcends yugioh, and even anime in my opinion. He's like one of my favorite characters in fiction ever.

Maybe the best video about yu gi oh i've ever see. That's why i love 5ds, this group of characters, their deck and their evolution we can see through their card (represent their user psychology and personality). I hope you will do more video about this license. Thank you

This was best Yugioh series. I remember watching it weekly from 2008 up to 2011 on youtube with fansubs in orginal JPN version. PS. Yusei and Aki did kiss in the final scene it was comfirmed by the writer.

Really? Thank you for the info about that! I was watching that last scene explanation and was wondering if they kissed in the end!

Now if only we could get a duel, one where… maybe Akiza expresses HER growth further by defeating Yusei with the new Rose Dragon, Ruddy Rose. Of course, a fun duel, not a world ending one, but one between two people who feel SO adamant about each other.

Not sure if those characters are in the works right now! But maybe at some point! Judai/Yubel are the highest possibility!
