Yea that weapon gets more screen time than some characters in the entire show 😂 Toji's signature weapon ong (he was the only one to be able to fully utilize it)
@@Ishl that shit was insane when I first saw the movie, because I watched it after season 1 right after they explained how hype a black flash is and how it worked. Geto hints how to do one, Yuta instantly lands it, then that nasty guitar comes in with black lightning arching between the walls. So satisfying.
@@Destined2BeKingI think a bunch quit bec it was so bad. And one of the buildings Sukuna crashed through and destroyed was the animation studio bec the animators were so angry about their conditions.
Rika is the strongest single entity in the entire series, stronger than Sukuna or Gojo, he stood no chance, and neither does any singular person in the setting.
I love the main characters of JJK and their "progression". Gojo is finished the main quest and all the side quests, so now he's just fucking around doing what he wants. Yuta finished the main quest and is now doing side quests. Yuji is still doing his main quest.
If Geto thought about how to divide the cursed soul force, he would have won against Yuta. Geto has about 4,000 cursed souls that it divides nearly 2 to 3 parts to Shinjuku and Kyoto, leaving 1,000 cursed souls remaining. In episode 22, season 2, Kenjaku also said that if Geto divided the cursed force between Shinjuku and Kyoto, the winner would be Geto, not Yuta.
No. Kenjaki is wrong. If Geto didn't put that much cursed spirits elsewhere, Gojo and the others wouldn't have taken so long fighting them. Most likely, the other sorcerers or even Gojo could have returned faster. Gojo > any Geto cursed spirit
@@beaniekei8691 hes not wrong, you are right about to put these cursed elsewhere, but If we say that he had 6000 in total, that is, the difference in scattered spirits could beat him to the geto
Idk why but for some reason when I first watched this movie I wasn’t really into it, but after rewatching it a few times I found a new appreciation for it and it’s now one of my favorite anime movies and Yuta is my favorite character 😊.
Before season 2 i found this boring somehow, but learning about young geto made it better. Liked him more as a protagonist than an antagonist, his motives and timing feels off to me 🤷♂️
@@aaronarceneaux1564I think Gojo explained that he didn't go for the head when he executed Geto, and that is the sole reason Kenjaku could take over remainings and restore body with reversed cursed energy. Massive mistake made cause of feeling sentimental over best friend cost them everything.
@@aaronarceneaux1564 If JJK live action gets made by disney: Gojo: Somehow.... Geto returned. Maki: wait... do we believe this? Panda: it cannot be! Geto is dead! Yuji: dark arts, cloning, secrets only curses know...
Am i the only one who gets goosebumps when geto says he got faster with the most happiest expression like yuta was his student constantly improving while fighting him. Idk it's a interesting moment that gave me student & sensei vibes
Yeah even though he’s an antagonist it was kinda wholesome to see him get excited by Yutas abilities. He probably would’ve been a great teacher if he stayed at jujutsu tech
what i think is very interesting is the fact geto truly does think what hes doing is bad or evil he even thinks he fights for justice the world truly failed him
Even though Yuta was weaker here, (not by alot but still weak) Rika was at her peak, Geto was basically fighting 2 Special Grade level characters singlehandedly and almost won too.
The movie was a 10 out of 10 but I read Irino Miyu Haku's VA from spirited away) voicing Yuta Okkostu, it was appointed his voice for Yuta, I was insanely hyped for him being Yuta then THEN MAPPA CHANGED IT TO SHINJI’S (I’m not mad at Megumi Ogata, I love her, one of the best VA’s in the industry) BUT I EXPECTED IRINO TO VOICE YUTAAAA, OR MAYBE SOMEONE LIKE YUKI KAJI (Eren Jeager’s VA) BUT MAPPA CHANGED IT all because the creator for Yuta was inspired by Shinji, also even this Irino has worked with Gojo’s VA. it was perfect, all planned out (again I love Megumi Ogata.)
@@Some_guy_passing_by She actually voices a character called "Alpha" / "Lucia" from a game called "Punishing: Gray Raven", too! I can see what you mean by the "Yandere" part, lol. Alpha wants the Commandant (the player) all to herself, no matter the costs.
I don’t love how Yutas arc has him go from a couple training missions to taking on the big bad. With Gojo and Geto, you have a sense that they’ve been developing their skills for years. Yuta doesn’t have that same sense of history
It's definitely not on par but it's the closest we saw, just because yuta almost died using it, and hollow purple can heavily dmg sukuna, while yuta dmged a part of geto's body, like imagine if geto got hit with a hollow purple, I don't think geto would be as durable as sukuna and toji tbh.
i cant even imagine how skilled geto really is, fighting a special grade cursed spirit and a special grade sorcerer and still holding up, just mangificent
Yuta is one of the characters with the biggest character arcs in jjk bro😭 compare this dude at the beginning of the movie to him at the end and in season 2, they are basically two whole different characters
I mean, what is the point… A brand new student whooping a much more experienced sorcerer’s ass ( a very special one) with the Power of love…? and that fucking black punch extremely hard to execute? There is Logic in almost every anime: A brand new special Hunter like Killua can’t beat a special hunter with Nen knowledge and experience like Hisoka or Ilumi. A Brand new special genin like Sasuke cannot beat a special jounin like Kakashi, Asuma, Zabuza… no way A Brand new special Demon slayer like Tanjiro just cant beat a Superior Moon Oni or a Hashira, he must work really, really hard to improve and Get better. Yuta is just pointless, He got a lot of Power with no explanation, just anger… even Goku transforming to ssj1 with lot of anger trained A LOT, got a lot of experience to obtain Power. This movie is just rika screaming like shit, cmon. It’s a joke narrative. Geto, the only deep character dying this way, is a complete joke.
@@StSualk Yuta is a special grade that ALSO alimented a cursed spirit for years (which cursed spirit is obsessed in protecting him). Geto knew this was a dangerous enemy and still took the battle
I’ve only seen the anime, including this movie, so I haven’t seen the Culling Games, Shinjuku Showdown, or really anything beyond a few chapters post Shibuya, but I think Yuta and Rika’s story and arc is my absolute favourite part of Jujutsu Kaisen, followed very closely by Hidden Inventory. Both this movie (save for a few inconsistencies due to the movie being a proof of concept and missing things like domain expansion, gojo having an extra part to his technique and also Geto’s conflicting personality) and Hidden Inventory are peak JJK writing imo, and they both get me right in the feels no matter how many times I rewatch. Pure love. Truly wonderful.
Honestly, I’m a little sad starting to read the culling games, as I’ve heard the later arcs ruin Yuta a little since he becomes a nothing character who just does crazy shit, but I really like him with all I’ve currently seen
I just realized. Due to how black flash works Geto blocking Yutas punch actually triggered the black flash since it changed the timing. Geto woulda been better off just taking the hit.
With all the Geto’s experience combat, this match should’ve been in Geto’s favor. Power is not everything . Most Anime really stands up OP within a moment if it’s all about love ( could be friends, lover, family). And this concept needs to change.
It would be better if yuta lost, but actually injures geto enough to just give gojo an easy job. Maybe this even happened, but the story just didn't tell us about it. If you think about it, geto was conscientious and yuta not, but the narrative built it poorly just to give us the feeling that yuta won
Yes, the nunchucks (it's actually a 3 section staff) called Playful Cloud is the same weapon used by Maki and Megumi in the Hanami fight and then used by Maki again in Shibuya arc until the staff falls into Toji's hands again.
Lol what I never understood about this movie was why gojo sent two first years to try and stop geto(special grade) instead of himself. And I’m sure Nanami could have handled Miguel from how bad gojo beat him.
@@johnfifer4603 gojo also said later that he knew geto wouldn't kill the students, because he's a man of strong principles. Geto never hated sorcerers, only non-sorcerers
