Yuto is extremely soft spoken, very shy, keeps to himself, humble, really polite, unassuming in interviews, etc. But then he gets on the course and he's a monster. Watch the piece he did with Nike SB recently where he talks about not knowing what his next goal is after winning the Olympics, that he feels lost in life, then goes to Tampa and wins with a run like this where he's landing sick tricks and it doesn't even look like he's trying. Look at how he lands at 0:25 and 0:35. It's like Chris Cole said, he lands tricks in the exact same way as a teenager who is mad he has to clean his room. 30 people understood it. @@SouthsideSleazy that’s what I initially thought too, but then I re-watched Giovanni’s run and I understand the Giovanni choice for 2nd. He did have some hard bangers in his run that are also very unique tricks. But you could tell that Joslin was a bit surprised on 3rd when it was announced. I also had Kelvin and Felipe switched places. Regardless, overall I think the judging was good. And remember, there are a team of judges. All of them may not have agreed on the final results.
