Yuudachi - Composed by Sandy Ikeda, 1984
Yuudachi means “evening rainstorm”. The shifting moods of this composition, evoked by fue (bamboo flute) and explosive taiko drumming, represent the passing of a sudden summer evening storm. A key element is the festival pattern Yatai Bayashi of Chichibu, a city in Saitama Prefecture, Japan.
