The Yuzu Mai Tai, one of my absolute favorite cocktails, is about to enter a Battle Royale to see which Yuzu Liqueur makes the best Yuzu Mai Tai.
We're pitting Pierre Ferrand's new Yuzu Curacao up against my tried and true favorite, Choya Yuzu Liqueur. And let's see how newcomer Juicy Yuzu stands up to the professionals.
Yuzu Curacao has been hard to find, and is fairly unique in that the Yuzu is added before the distillation, and spices and brandy are added afterwards. Choya and Juicy both hail from Japan, with the former utilizing the peel of the fruit, and the latter just the juice.
Each of these are unique and delicious in their own right, but which has what it takes to make the Best Yuzu Mai Tai?
