I'm not sure if video captures it, but this practice was stunning... the whole place went silent everyone left the ice... it was breathtaking to see live.
It's a stadium with many people, but the way he dances on the ice, it might as well be a frozen lake surrounded by trees and mountains. This is the embodiment of ethereal.
There are wonderful skaters out there but no one can make me feel the same way as Yuzuru Hanyu when he skates. He's creating a world through his skating.
@2:57 Twizzles into a triple axel - he makes it look way too easy... but the fact is, he's the only one in the whole sport who does it (or can do it, even now in 2020). Think about that for a moment! The skaters watching at the boards must be as impressed as the spectators. Every skater can do amazing things but no one else does this move (if they can do it, they've never shown it in competition or in exhibitions).
Did you hear that loud gasp when he does the delayed axle? That's ALL OF US WATCHING. Since it's practice it's not as polished as the actual performance, but this is breathtaking enough I can faint...
Scientia lol while I do agree with you, there was something about this run through that was stunning in an unreal way. I enjoyed watching this more than when he performed it at the gala later that day. Lady still needs to check herself tho 😂
This performance was truly my favorite ever. I keep on coming back almost everyday. So many this has happened ever since this was uploaded, yuzu retired and now, he's married. Thanks you so much for this beautiful video I prefer this more than the actual performance at the gala and any other notte stellata practices, its just so on beat
2:57 there’s really a difference in perspective. If it were zoomed, the average Yuzu watcher would have already detected a 3A coming but since it wasn’t zoomed it came as a surprise and I LOVE IT.
