Last year, a former South Korean Figure skaters, Park Sung-Hoon debuted as a K-Pop star and brought a new wave of fans into figure skating. But how exactly could figure skaters translate their skills on ice into the Kpop entertainment industry? In this video, let's explore the multi-talented boyband of figure skating taking on Kpop stars on what they do best! Meaning: Dancing, singing, Mukbang, talent show etc. Join us for the premiere on 12 March, GMT 12pm 💕💓
This is weird but just a couple of months ago I didn't know who Sunghoon was yet I was a fan of Yuzuru Hanyu and Nathan Chen. Also I'd heard of Enhypen but I wasn't a fan so obviously i didn't now the members. Now I've become a fan of this band because of Jake who kinda lead me to Sunghoon who I'm fascinated by because he used to be a figure skater like Hanyu and Chen 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@minakatz8154 Hhaaha we are the same. Kpop fans - learn about figure skating and Yuzu from Sunghoon. Figure skating fans - learn about kpop and Enhypen from.. people talking about this skater-turn Kpop member. :P
Wouldn't that be cool? I just learned today that he actually landed 4A on the ground with Kohei Uchimara's suggestion and his gymnastic technique. Landing on the ice still remains a challenge for him.
at 7:43 they literally cut the second before he almost fell lol but he saved himself luckily. Also, can we appreciate how smart Yuzuru and Nathan are? Like Nathen studies a yale and is a super smart dude and Yuzuru made a thesis so good that the school displayed it. Also uses a 3d animation software thing to help him calculate the optimal way to jump.
So, basically... Nathan: Leader and Lead Singer, Instrumentalist Misha: Lead Dancer Junhwan: Dancer and Singer Roman: Dancer Hanyu: Guy who was in the group for only a few months because he ain't into sharing and was stealing everyone's attention so he went for a successful solo career, lol. ❤🤣🤣🤣
I'm assuming this is assigning figure skaters positions as a kpop group, so I'm excited to see the results. Also, I kinda think Yuzu should be main dancer cause of his musicality and duality on ice. Also, he should be center and face cause let's be real, Yuzu is the reason a huge portion of fans actually watch fs.
Wow!! Kpop fan u must be to know such strategic position among the group 😆 for their position in the group, it’s written in our video description. This video will be about showcasing their talent outside of skating! Will be a super funny video. Stay tuned :)
Agree... I watch fs thanks to Yuzuru but not for his good looking! I mean, I'm really amazed when I see him on ice he's difference. He has grace but is powerful. He has passion in his eyes, he has confidence (just like idols on stage). Idk if u stan BTS, but sometimes he reminds me of them: his passion reminds me of Suga, his hard work reminds me of Jimin, his power on ice reminds me of J-Hope... So, I agree with u, he could be a main dancer, center and *face of the group* (sorry if my English is bad)
@@kaneki4946 Yeah, I stan BTS, but honestly, Yuzu reminds me of GD. GD, if you didn't know, is a member of Big Bang and basically a fucking god in the kpop world. The amount he and his group have brought to the genre is astronomical. And I mean, Yuzu has contributed a lot to the sport over the years. BB basically built YG from the ground up, symbolizing Yuzu's growth as a skater as well as his popularization of the sport. They also both just have a presence in what they do and if they were in their respective stages (literally and figuratively), they would stand out the most and make you remember them.
If Yuzu was an idol this is what'll happen Dispatch: It has been reported that Park Sunghoon and Yuzuru Hanyu sneak out late at night to go skating and don't return until dawn
Yes!! He can be the best role model in Korea. So talented, so humble, and so funny! Can't wait for his performance in the next World Championship. And hopefully he will have a future in the Kpop too after his figure skating career 😀💕
SAAAAMMMEEE!!! The male idols that just do the girl group dances straight without having to make them more "powerful" or just less feminine or mocking it are just a class act. Idk if you know them, but Ateez are really good when it comes to that, especially Park Seonghwa. I mean San notably too, but Seonghwa is their resident edgy gg stan. If there's ever any change, it's because he's forgetting something, unsure about the choreo, or making it more his own style, but typically it's straight from what the girls do. This is a good compilation if you'd want to take a look? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XZkOS0PO68M.html
@@labear7409 I mean, they are in the middle of comebacks right now..... But I would have recommended them anyways, because I genuinely thought it might be something you'd enjoy. Glad to know you appreciate their songs!! And if I'm gonna seem think I'm promoting, you might also like Wooyoung's Artist of the Month video, the choreo is so good. And the blatant just for promo, Eternal Sunshine MV is coming out on the 4th so maybe stream it if you want, and Deja Vu if you haven't
@@MariaThePotterNut yes, I know. Thanks for the recommendation. I love it when artists move their fans enough that they willingly promote them :) gonna give them some streams! They really deserve it!
I cried when I saw Sunghoon He did figure skating for over a decade I can't imagine how hard must have been for him to give up fs for becoming Kpop idol. Seriously I have immense respect for Sunghoon.
Same here. It’s really not an easy decision. But we are glad he’s shining in a different industry and brought so many more new fans into figure skating ❤️❤️💕
I want to talk about how Junhwan Cha is an all rounder, he learned to play the violin, the piano, he learned ballet, he was an actor, he dances well, he sings well and he really is an excellent skater with a good future (because of his boots he has some problems) he is handsome, kind, humble and very respectful too. I hope he does well in the Worlds and in the Olympics he can reach the podium because he has everything to be a champion💕 *yes, I am going to cry because i'm very proud of this boy who is very talented* 😭❤
Figure skating sport has constructed Park Sunghoon for: dedication, hard working, and keep improving. He brings those mindset into his KPop career. He never forgets figure skating as his first love.
@@FigureSkatingFan ENHYPEN has reached more than 370.000 pre-order for 2nd mini album "BORDER: CARNIVAL" in just 3 days!!! It's a huge selling for a rookie boyband. Park Sunghoon and Enhypen are shinning more! 🎉🎉🎉 By the way, some of Sunghoon's videos in figure skating competition is still getting more views!
Welcome here Fanyu! Definitely lotsa Fanyu from all over the world in our channel! Do check out more videos in our channel - most of them have quite some bits of Yuzuru in it. Next videos - World Championship 2021 trailers (again, a big chunk of Yuzuru story). Stay tuned 😀💕💪
I was impressed by the example before. When yuzuru comes : why the genre change to comedy?? Lol i love him so much. He born to be ice skater and entertainer. He deserves the world
Hanyu would be the hype, king of reactions, extra, living meme, positive sunshine member who can do girl group's dance covers, and says he hates aegyo but masters it lol
I feel in love with yuzuru's skating I was never really interested in fs I was watching EXO's video when yuzuru's video kinda popped up I watched for like 5 seconds literally and that was it. There is something so beautiful the way he moves. Yuzuru have literally changed the fs around the world to be honest he was the one who brought a huge change in fs and popularized men fs. Well the G.O.A.T of FS ice prince.
Nathan is really a great guy: studies at Yale, plays the piano and guitar, one of the best skaters of all times... still such a down to earth, kind young man. I really hope that he wins the second place at the Worlds and next year in Olympics after Yuzuru 😈 (does it show that I am big Yuzuru fan? 🙂)
I agree too! Nathan is like that friend who excel in everything at school and you will feel proud of being his friend. Yuzu is like that person you don't think exist in the world. It's like, is this person even real?!
You should look at some Phillipe Candolaro videos. As a skater , he was an incredible showman with an incredible ability to draw the audience in. I saw a video of him on a European version of Dancing with the Stars and he's close to 50 and still has that ability. Obviously he didn't have the quads, but he was exciting from the moment he stepped onto the ice. You should also find (if it still exists) a video of Christopher Bowman. He had a routine to the song Wooly Bully that really showcased his showmanship. They called him Bowman the Showman. Sadly, he got into drugs. Not all skaters have the ability to make the audience suspend everything and focus solely on them. Yuzuru Hanyu definitely has it.
On contrary, I knew Yuzuru Hanyu first, and then KPop because of Park Sunghoon. Yes, Sunghoon has made history. He promoted both Figure skating sport and KPop globally. He becomes connection between these two worlds. That's why this channel appreciates Sunghoon and makes 2 videos (preview and full version) inspired from his story.
Haha beautiful! Junhwan Cha could be a kpop star if he wanted to confirmed. He should totally collab with a kpop group and do a video on teaching them skating and then them teaching him a dance. It would be awesome! Preferably BTS, TXT, or Enhypen because that's who I stan. Yuzuru's killing point is his expressions (especially his smile) and I didn't know Nathan also played piano wow! Also I love that Shoma's speciality is mukbangs!
I never will understand why Nathan just happens to be amazing at everything he does!! That just shows how dedicated and hardworking he must be to get to where he is now!!
Yes! Such an inspiration he is. I still remember in one of the press conference, Yuzu was saying he's so jealous of Nathan for how talented he is and all the past experience he had. And Nathan was looking at him like "what?!" then went on and said "I don't think I'll be able to achieve even half of what he's achieved in figure skating" Such a good sportsmanship moment 😀
We were so surprised when we saw him sing last year haha! Didn't know he has such a good voice. With dance, skate, face, sing, he really could be like the best Kpop star! 😀 Of course, he can always does that after finishing his Olympic dream. 💕
First time to know Sunghoon because he's Eunsoo's best friend. I was very surprised to find out that he debuted as an Enhypen member. Now I'm very curious about this video. Can't wait 😍
Hahhaah they really have the face and talent! And most importantly the best role models! They could be the most popular pop idol band in the world if they debut as a group haha
I always admired figure skaters but Through park sunghoon I started having more interest in figure skating ✨ literally watching hours of skating videos of sunghoon and many other amazing figure skaters 💜 figure skaters In general are so talented in movement because of their training and honestly park sunghoon seems like someone who has trained years of dancing because he’s such an amazing dancer and obviously not forgetting that he sings beautifully and is an great Figure skater at the same time 🌟🙌🏼 a big respect to all the amazing figure skaters out there !!
Is interesting know something more about the skaters as person and in others artistic facets, the professional career of a Figure Skater is very short, and when is finished they have a whole life ahead.
I loved every second of it. And the skaters won. Not only that they can dance like the Kpop idols, but they do it on the ice as well as on the floor, and...surprise or not, some of them can also sing ( Nathan and Junhwa showed they even have nice voices, and I'm pretty sure Yuzuru can also sing - at least doing karaoke- ) so...
Hahhahaa so true! Normally Kpop idols went through training for a few months to a few years. But figure skaters train since they were super young. By the time they are known to us, they probably had spent ~10 years in training. It's so hard and yet so few recognitions.. Hopefully there will be more exposure for them to shine!! They are amazing 😀
Haha that moment was like - Yuzu turned around and saw how tall he is, and then he got so jealous and try to point his toe to look taller like Roman. And Roman was like "hahahaha try all you can but u can't beat me in height" So super funny they are 😆
ngl I'm so glad Sunghoon debuted in enhypen and I was watching I land at that time because discovering ice skating and Yuzuru was probably the best thing that ever happened to me besides kpop
yuzuru hanyu has reached the top already… so even if he chose to stop, no one will complain. He has set monumental records and he is considered a living legend in ice skating.
I remembered they have replied this question before. It's a opening song for the anime it's called Yowamushi Pedal. In English is "Weakling Pedal" this is the link ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-evGrpi1hyZY.html
When I saw Junhwan on the Olympics, I was like- “Dude, are you sure he’s not already a K-pop idol or something?” He looks like Jin and Jungkook combined XDXD Those visuals TwT
It's probably gonna be like this lololol: Yuzu Main Dancer, Lead Vocal, Center, FOTG, Visual Nathan Main Vocal, Lead Dancer, (maybe) Rapper Shoom Lead Vocal, Lead Dancer, Lead Rapper(idk he reminds me of Tsurubo Shion) Jun Hwan Main Dancer, Lead vocal, Main Rapper, Visual Roman Vocal, Dancer, Lead Rapper
I can't tell you how much my brain deteriorated when I found a familiar face on i-land. I've been watching Sunghoon for a while since he just has this graceful aura then suddenly I see him on i-land.
Sunghoon has his own character as figure skater. Most athletes perform programs with music as background to beautify their programs, but Sunghoon is different: the music lifts up himself as the focus of beautiful program. In I-land show, I dropped my tears too when I saw him crying amid reading a letter from his mom. He loves both figure skating and KPop. Changing career is a hard decision for everyone. Sunghoon lacked of social skill because of amblyopia, and most of his friends in figure skating are girls. He was a single fighter in figure skating, now he has other 6 friends to reach their dreams together. I feel happy everytime I see him laughing with his friends. In their recent video, Enhypen&Hi season 2 ep4, Sunghoon adorably smiled to wear a necklace made by Jungwon (leader of Enhypen). Enhypen members share love and attention, not just as friends or professional artists, but as siblings in a family. Enhypen brings a new happy life for him. I imagine, Enhypen is going to be bigger than BTS. More famous, more people will know his background in figure skating, and more people know about this sport. He can not use his achievements in figure skating as his own pride, but he uses himself to bring this sport widerly known globally with his name in KPop.
@@ummuilham3119 I don't know why you replied with this but just in case you misunderstood, I was just surprised and didn't really see it coming, I didn't mean anything with "deteriorating."
@@giyaaa English it's not my first language.🙏 I'm sorry if I missunderstood about your comment. I just want to say that I'm happy wherever he is and whenever he is happy. I'm sorry 🙏.
@@ummuilham3119 lol it's okay. English isn't my first language too, I know the struggle. You were respectful despite the misunderstanding. I fancy Sunghoon as much as you do. At least, I wasn't the only one who wept during i-land 😌✨
@@giyaaa I watch episode for letter of Sunghoon's mom not once only. Still I dropped my tears when I watched that part, even for the third time to see it. So, I'm not the only one who wept 😅
Yuzuru could honestly be a good professional dancer, likeee frrr dude can dance well specially in a feminine way which I find hard myself ✋😭 and I’m a dancer 🐦
Yes we actually had a dancing challenge video using Yuzu’s backstage footage. Here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TGartpoUcV8.html he danced like a real god hahaha
Ahhhh i see sunghoon i liked 👍 honestly i start watching figure skater video because of sunghoon idk much about figure skate but now find that kim yuna and yuzuru hanyu are amazing skater. Anw ENHYPEN will comeback at the end april 26th april 👏 pls give sunghoon and hiz team a lot support thank u ❤
Very great idea!! Hahaha will add it into our long list of content idea! But will do all these fun videos after World Championship 2021. Now our whole mood is about this WC. Next videos will all be about World Championship. Stay tuned 😆😀💕
Since Yuzuru is more like a Rocker, the closest he could go to being a Kpop idol would be ending as a member of one of the pop/rock bands… FTisland or CNblue. 😅🤣
Do you know Jung Yunho from TVXQ?? He is a Kpop legend and Juhwan's friend. Both of them participated together in a Yuna Kim's program about skating in Korea in 2011. Yunho was very supportive of Juhwan, believing in him when he was a child and predicting that he would become a national athlete. The quote that Juhwan has on his Instagram profile is inspired by what Yunho told him once.❤️ Thank you for the video. I love Yuzu ^^💙
Dugaanku, Yuzu bakal masuk entertainment 2-4 tahun lagi, dan kemungkinan besar gabung HYBE Japan. Foto2 Yuzu saat World Championship terakhir, ada sejumlah pose dia yg gaya tunjukkin tanda love dgn tangan, ala Kpopper. Yuzuru jg bilang sekarang banyak dengarkan lagu2 BTS, sebelumya kebanyakan lagu Japanese Rock.
¡Tan estupendo! 😀💕
