I never got why so many people hated her character, I thought she was great. It's like she has all the best aspects of Rita, Lila and Lumen so she really was perfect for Dexter.
People hated her because she was a boring Mary Sue who was only created because the producer Scott Buck fancied Yvonne Strahovski her actress. And they tried to portray Hannah as a heroic vigilante serial killer like Dexter even though she was an evil poisoner who killed innocent people for fun and justified it by saying it was survival of the fittest and that she was doing it to survive even though she was really doing it because she liked it. Not to mention the fact that Dexter and Hannah showed no attraction to each other whatsoever before he randomly cut her free from the kill table and had sex with her on it then he became completely obsessed with her from then on. And that's all it was. An obsession. He actually loved Rita, Lila and Lumen when he was with them but he was just obsessed with Hannah. And only 2 of Hannah's victims deserved it those being a camp counselor who tried to rape her and her friend Arlene Shram and an abusive husband who tried to force her to have an abortion. All the others were innocent including the old woman Beverly Gray who she killed just to inherit her flower shop so she could use the flowers to make poisons to kill more innocent people as well as all the people she killed with Wayne Randall. Hannah's obsession with Argentina and her fantasy about wanting to go there just because it was where her and Wayne had once wanted to go got on my nerves too. Scott Buck just wanted to get Dexter and Hannah together because Hannah was his favourite character and didn't care whether or not it made sense. Dexter should have killed Hannah on the table. Then the already great Season 7 would have become even better because the Dexter and Hannah relationship was the worst part of it.
Everything you see on the show, is exactly what the writers want you to see. So when you first claim Hannah was portrayed as a heroic Mary Sue, (which simply isn't true) how can you then claim she actually was an evil person who enjoyed killing innocent people for FUN? Don't you see the massive self contradiction here? Where is the secret interviews or behind the scene stuff that only you saw? Or do you really think that you as a veiwer, somehow, has the magic ability to figure out a completely different storyline about a fictional character, that the writers who CREATED HER, didn't know about? Don't you see how crazy that notion is? I saw a couple of interviews with the actress that played Hannah, and she was very clear that ALL of Hannah's kills, were "justified" (Including Beverly Gray who already was sick and dying. Sal Price who tried to ruin both her and Dexters life, and Miles who tried to rape her on the boat) and that Hannah did NOT enjoy killing at all. But here you are, a random viewer, claiming YOU know a completely different story about Hannah, that both the writers who created her, and the actress who played her, had no idea about! Wow, that is something, I'll give you that.
I think it's romantic that Dexter found his perfect half. She completes him in every way and is so accepting and understanding. Dexter can 100% be himself around her, that' special. With every other love interest Dexter always had to hold back, or hide something
She ,is the most stunning, gorgeous woman I have ever seen. I swear if she gets killed in Dexter , my heart might break. I Would love to see more movies, or shows, or autobiographies from this woman. What a lucky , lucky lucky man she has dating her now. This season of Dexter will be my favorite, just because Yvonne is in it.
Yvonne is my favorite celebrity crush.... The way her eyes meet her perfectly symmetrical eyebrows is so aesthetically pleasing. It's like staring God in the face and saying, "you complete me."
You'd be surprised! Chuck has some of the most dedicated fans of any show in the last 10 years, the show was on the bubble throughout most of its run, and it's fans (me being one of them) went above and beyond out of our way to keep it on the air by buying Subway footlongs (the shows main sponsor) as a means to keep the show running, and it worked! Show ended up running for 5 years, and not a day goes by that I don't miss the show desperately....
Also, the fans are the type who will follow them to anything and everything they appear in, so whatever they appear in 5 years from now, you know us Chucksters will be right there ready to support it anyway we can :)
No, the actress is really good, but the script makes her looks like a true bitch to Deb and Dexter. No sence the finale... To protect his son from a killer he leaves him with a killer? I think the writers use weed for some years and writed the finale...
I'm a cross-over Chuck fan and I only watch Dexter cuz of Yvonne, but the show's actually awesome! I've heard or it before but never watched it, I'm watching previous season so I'd understand the whole story. I hope she stays on the show too! Still 50/50 on whether or not I'll still watch it if she doesn't return. Just finished season 1!
If you haven't seen it, you need to watch Chuck. She's absolutely amazing in it. But be warned, you'd likely have to watch it a few times to appreciate the ending.

Chuck fans are incredibly passionate about the show and wants Chuck and Sarah (Yvonne's character) to be together forever and it's just weird seeing her with another guy after 5 years with Chuck! :) I pretty much worshiped that show too! They'll come around. :)
Well, you don't write my opinion, so I'll stick to mine, thanks. After 7 seasons, it's still breathtaking, fun, entertaining, dazzling. Also, you have to take into account that only the first season was based on the novels, from then onwards, the writers came up with their own seasonal plots ... First, season's finale, and then another year indeed ... :(
I never thought there was any problem with Yvonne being on Dexter but seeing these comments... Wow, you guys are jerks. Plus, both shows are way different and were made for a complete different audience. There is no place for comparison here.
she's got australian accent.. what i found out recently both of her parents are polish like me.. and she can speak perfect polish... i am so impressed and proud because i am polish as well :) go hannah! :P

This is the best show ever....The fans are the most dedicated fans and please don't say rude stuff for shows that you haven't watched.....I'am just saying that yeah that is your opinion if you don't like it but stop making rude comments okay?? Umm, No matter, how you look at it, everything you said is rude. The fans are Chuck are really dedicated, they saved the show on like 3 different occasions. And the MC on Chuck isn't exactly boring, more-so annoying at times. Watching 3 episodes for a shows that has like 90 doesn't give you enough content to have such a adamant opinion, btw.

If, however, you are in the "Dex and Deb need to hook up!' category, then I have nothing to say to you, I personally think that subplot the introduced at the end of the 6th season is the worst idea they ever made, I mean they grew up together, sure they may not be blood relatives, but that doesn't make any less fucking creepy. If they bring that subplot up in the final few episodes I'll be pissed.
Not from me. Dexter and Chuck are two very different shows. Just depends on personal preference that should be respected. I loved Chuck, I just started watching Dexter cuz of Yvonne and I'm starting to love it too! Try watching Chuck.. :)
I watch both Chuck and Dexter. I love watching both but I like watching Chuck a lot more...maybe cause it's funny and it ass-kicking. But in my opinion, they're both great shows.
So you're saying they can't add variety and depth to the show beyond it's core concept? I'm sorry, but part of the reason I hate shows like NCIS is because they're too repetitive, I just don't procedural shows like that, so for the show to try to humanize Dexter and make him more likable by showing that he's more than just a cold blooded killer I think is quite smart, and allows me to sympathize with him more, especially after all the awful shit he's done to those he cares about.
W/E man, believe what you want, but I like here character, sure, maybe I'm a bit biased cause I'm also a hardcore Chuck fan (they need to make that movie DAMN IT!!!) but most of the criticism I see people make of Hannah is that they hate her because they have this weird "Debster" fantasy where they want to see Dex and Deb hook up, which is fucking stupid. From the sounds of things, doesn't sound like you're in that camp, but seriously, most of the criticism I see of her is unwarranted.
You guys feel like shes cheating on Chuck, I feel like she's cheating on Shepard. Yes im a nerd but she should be helping stop the reaper invasion damnit.
IDK, I was able to buy his relationship with her more so then any other relationship he's had because she actually "got" him, I was able to buy it more so then Rita for sure because his relationship with Rita was a lie. Plus, c'mon, there are few to no women in Hollywood (or the world for that matter) who look as freaking stunning as she does, just hot damn is she fine. Plus, c'mon, Lumen was WAAAAAAY more annoying, little depth to her, too Damsel in distress compared to Hannah.
