YYNOT "The Spirit of Radio"(RUSH), "Etheria" (original), "YYZ" (RUSH), "Natural Science" (RUSH) @ the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano, CA 9/9/2022
YES! They're the next best thing to RUSH!
I normally do not upload bands that are known mainly because of their covers, but DAMN this band is AWESOME!! And they don't just do RUSH, but they have albums out containing all original songs!
I really LOVE their original song I captured here: "Etheria".
After the show, I purchased their latest CD: "Light and Shade" and then my girlfriend and I got to meet the band and have a photo taken with them.
Their set list included about 65% Rush covers and the rest were originals with an INCREDIBLE drum solo! I only wish I was not 1st row all the way to one side, because I was right in front of the subwoofers (literally pushed up against them) and the bass monitor, so the audio part of my video mainly picked up the bass guitar and drums, but the vocals and guitar was very faint (so don't judge this INCREDIBLE band solely based on my video! They are MUCH better!) If you're a RUSH fan, I think you will love their show! Please check out their web page, FB page, RU-vid channel and other YYNOT social media!

RUSH, a "thinking" band, similar to The FIXX. Both very intelligent with their lyrics and music. Love them both!

A “problem” with being on the front row is the camera is getting blasted by the amps and drums which drowns out the vocals coming out of the house speakers overhead. Love it though!!!

Had this issue at the Knauer Center in West Chester. We were in front row center (damn is she good!) but her vocals were dampened. Then someone farther back took some video. Vocal balance much better! This stage appears small inhibiting Patty’s jump around dancing. Not at all so at Penn’s Peak, lot’s of real estate!

Etheria is quite a rocking song! Original? Can hear the Rush influence. Too bad like you said about the audio. But the video looks stunning! Never heard of YYNOT but you got me sold on wanting to see them!

Thanks! Definitely hooked on YYNOT!! Speaking of other cover bands, ever heard of "Which One's Pink?". While in line to meet YYNOT, I was talking to a guy who sat at my table - he's the bass player for Which One's Pink! I've seen them once about 10 years ago. Excellent band! Need to check my schedule to see if I can make it to their show later this year at this same venue. Every seat is a great seat in this 500 seater venue.

Incredible band! I've seen them before, but not with this singer. she easily transforms YYNOT to another level. Even though you were not located at the optimal position for your camera to pick up the audio from the mains, it still sounds cleaner than all the cell phone videos I've listened too. And the video quality is superb! I don't think you used the RX100 this time? Maybe next time you are seated in such close proximity you could ask the band for audio file from the soundboard? Doesn't hurt to try.

Pretty darn good. You must have been in front of the bass rig though? Oh I forgot to mention, kudos on the Zebra "ends". Those 1st 2 albums had a pretty big impact on me.

You're one of a handful of people that mentioned ZEBRA in my into/outros! :) Not sure if you noticed, but one person actually caught on a subliminal "I am losing My mind" audio snippet (from "Tell Me What You Want") that I fade in usually near the end of each bands performance. Only one person mentioned it and wrote me that he thought Google was messing with him, lol. He actually used to do audio stage setup for ZEBRA. I used to wear my ZEBRA t-shirt to every rock show (until last year) and need to start doing it again. It's cool when bands I see tell me they love Zebra. I know the bass player in YYNOT is a FB friend with Zebra's drummer Guy so wonder if he would've said something to me if I wore it. Yep, I was directly in front of the bassist. You can tell by looking as well as listening to my video, right?! :) Are you going back to FivePoints tonight to see Sammy?

This is the first time watching this band(I’m a die hard RUSH fan) I never got to see YYKnot yet , they are good, but I’m from Pennsylvania, there’s a RUSH tribute band here Solar Federation best I’ve seen out of all them, totally dedicated to RUSH. Played at RUSH Con in Scotland, also Neil Peart’s family had a park dedication in Canada, they played at that. Check them out on RU-vid here.

Bad video - the bass is way too loud & you can't hear the guitar nor the singing.The bass player is weird with his facial expressions.The most talented one is the guitar player - sounds as good as Alex from Rush. 👍

@Nomad thanks for your reply! The video came out great, just not the audio. My pinned post and description area of this video explains why the bass is so much louder - his monitor was right in front of my assigned seat. I had 1st row right up against the stage and their subwoofers were at my knees. Overall, the audio quality is there (clean and undistorted) but just my seat position was not optimal to get a balanced audio recording of all the musicians.
