@@joshmannbroadcast no problem, I really found your video so refreshing after combing thru tons of other videos of either hypebeast show enthusiasts or people trying to emulate that so you could never get the real feel of the shoes like when you mentioned the arch thing I literally had no clue about it after watching tons of videos and before your video I was under the impression that the pods would fold in half and stay folded ( which would have been cool hopefully we see it in a different version )
Thanks, that's great to hear! I try not to watch other reviews of products until I have them in hand and make my own (if I want to make a review of it, that is). Never thought my content would really appear that different, but I'm happy the content still feels new and fresh.
Thanks for rolling the sock/shoe down to take it on/off easily. Im tired of these other reviewers just yanking it off and complaining it's hard to take off or put on
I ordered a pair of Pods, a shirt, and pant's for a total of $79 yesterday. $60 was for the 3 products, $15 was for shipping, and the balance was for fees. 4 weeks waiting time.
Thanks! Really appreciate it. Haven't looked into the smaller sizing myself, but I think you'll be fine. If anything, you don't have to worry about spending hundreds of dollars at the moment finding out haha!
Get them while they’re $20 haha! Funny enough in that interview, Ye said he wanted to give them away for free. But we’re probably a good ways away from that reality.
I really want to try these but I'm from Europe and fees and shipping cost me 3x the price of pods so I'm still not sure if it's worth it just to try them and maybe not even wear them if they turn out to be too much of weird for me.
Yeah that’s totally understandable! Ye did make a post about Adidas handling distribution in the future to address that exact concern. So we’ll just have to wait and see. I’m sure shipping costs will drop and be faster in the summer!
Nearly been there at a car show with a bit of drizzle one morning. The good, is that they do dry fast. But yeah, wouldn’t wanna get caught in anything. Steven smith (the designer) did say something about making water proof and trail versions. Lord knows if we’ll ever see them!
Thank you! At 11.5 if you plan on wearing them with the leg portion all the way up you be ok. But if not, maybe a size two would work better. I still haven’t gotten my size 2 in yet, however. Maybe getting both and just gifting the one that doesn’t feel the best would be the call there. At least you’ll only spend ~40 bucks, rather than $400 haha
They’ll fit for sure. Heard the china pair are a bit more snug so maybe the perfect all around fit for you! I have a few china size 2 and size 3 on order. Interested to see what the fitment is like and how it’s changed from my Italy pair first hand.
I don't think they'll do much of any damage. Like I have a weak tendons in my arch area that cause a ton of pain if the shoes I wear aren't either super plush or have amazing arch support. In this case, I haven't had a single issue with my tendons, maybe because of that panel I mentioned in the video. I wouldn't be too worried about it with these. Hope that helps!
So steven smith, the designer, said in an interview, that he doesn't recommend putting them through any washers, but I'm sure just using a damp rag and basic soap would the do the job. I would find that exact review though. I think it was conducted with KanyesPosts (the green lady).
They've kinda just been my daily drivers honestly. I will say they're a joy to drive with, at least in my car, but I'd recommend carpet floor maps instead of rubber. I think they would be great for running (maybe not on trails) and as far as working out, I'm only afraid to try that because of the weak tendons in the arch area of my right foot. But it seems like a ton of people are working out in them and having no issues. As other variations come out, I'll definitely experiment a bit more and see if I prefer them for a specific activity over a more traditional design.
I've been waiting a week now for my 180 dollar refund. I ordered a pair 2 days before they changed it to 20 dollars. Hopefully we both get refunds. I sent 3 emails and likely shouldn't have. I'm likely at the end of the list now, i shouldnt have panicked 😢
I’m sure you’ll hear something back soon. With it basically being a brand new company and staff etc. there’s gonna be some wait times and hiccups along the way, but they can only get better and fulfill these different request faster as time goes on. Patience! Hahah
Damn… yeah some areas are getting theirs way later than others. Heard a potential deal with adidas could change the distribution and get products shipped sooner. All part of the being that first “innovator” group of consumers. Things are gonna be all over the place for a month or two before we have that speed and efficiency we’re all so use to. Hope you get yours in soon though!
Steven smith had talked about washing them, and said he wouldn’t recommend putting them through any washers, but I think a damp rag, maybe with some basic soap would be fine for cleaning and getting rid of any odors. I don’t plan on working out or doing much of any sports with mine, but that’s just me.
So, if you mean the side of the heel, they all have that area where the knit appears thin. If you mean my incident where the rubber and knit had separated when I pulled too hard on the leg portion in that specific area while first putting them on, you may see where I applied a bit of super glue to fix it. I touch on it in the video. The construction could definitely be better. It's my only gripe about the product. The material itself though, is similar to what you'd find in most sportswear. I'm not worried about the knit itself tearing too easily at all. But at the same time, I'll be mindful. A more rugged version was confirmed to come out soon. It'll be really interesting to see how it evolves.
We’re near the same. I use to always prefer slightly oversized everything but now I’m settling down and fitting into more slim clothing because of my dieting. The shirts in the YZY site, I have no clue, those things have some odd shape and I’m waiting on a hoodie. The pants, I’ve benchmarked with my own pumas and decided on a size 2. Haven’t gotten them yet but hopefully in the coming weeks.
@@joshmannbroadcast Thanks for the speedy reply. I went from baggy clothes to more fitted ones as I got more fit from the gym. Plus I find wearing baggier or looser fitting attire isn't always the best for me being on the shorter side. But lately I've reverted back to looser fitting clothes becuase I've gained 10 pounds and my stomach sticks out and gets harder to hold in lol. But if I lose about ten pounds I can go back to rocking fitted shirts like h&m style due to having gained a decent (but not crazy) muscular profile aswell (especialy compared to my early 20's when I was just a stick).
Short answer ... yes. My first pair of the pods was from the pre-order that took additional time because of the preorder period before they were actually fulfilled and then shipped. I have a few videos on the shipping time for my current pods and the vultures pant. Thinking they're struggling to fulfill their current influx of orders from that week of feb 11. They're definitely a newer team don't have established channels for distribution like the larger companies like Adidas or Amazon, etc. Time will tell if it improves.
It took a minute, but I eventually did. However, FedEx in my case, wouldn't give me any precise tracking and the Shop App would only say "Shipped" with no precise tracking either. I found mine sitting in the mailbox but they also may have been there a few days. It's basically a new company, so distribution is gonna be interesting. Ye was seen with the CEO of adidas potentially trying to a work a deal for them to handle that aspect.
They’re doing refunds regardless if you purchased at the original $200. But as far as purchasing the wrong size, they’ll ask you to cancel the order and create a new one with the other size you want.
I think your best bet is stock x or other reseller sites. I wouldn't be too concerned about fakes, but make sure they include the original plastic bag with the black text they come in.
Even Steven Smith, the designer, wears them with socks. He never gave a specific reason, but in the warmer months I’d see myself rocking them sockless to have them more breathable.
