The German DD line isn't the most powerful by any means but for me they are surprisingly fun to play. As Trenlass shows through his play so much of this game is decision-making. Showing us how its done!
Trenlass, you are a good sport! You are one of the best "losers" I've seen in the game...compliments rather than getting salty...rare quality. Fun to watch you nuke the piggy too...sorry you lost, but in your heart you won, right? ... - CV = win. Cheers, John
it's still pretty strong, played 2 games last week due to naval battles after many many months, maybe even years, both battles won, average damage 93.9k, average PR 4145. I was surprised myself how relevant the thing is. AP on broadsides is no joke.
Can't help thinking the AA needs a buff, and give it slightly faster reload, and it would be a very common dd again. The torps are serviceable, hydro/smoke with basically matching concel works great for controlling Caps, but its DPM is too low against newer DD's and its only getting worse with more and more sub 2sec reload gun boats having matching concel vs it
I like my Z-52, the 6k hydro is usable for many purposes. To me it's very much like or is "basically" a slightly less maneuverable Fletcher that traded a very nice repair consumable for a very nice hydro consumable. I like them both a-lot! The Z-52 and Daring are my only tier 10 DDs that I like. Halland & Gearing sucks for me because my playstyle was developed with Pan Euros that offer great open water abilities for their really good dodgy (difficult to hit/enemy frustrating) maneuverability's. DDs that don't do this well don't fit my Pan Euro developed playstyle. (ironically: I hate my Halland lol) Z-52 is just maneuverable enough for me as is Daring.
