Wizzy may have better/consistent tourney results but i could make the argument that n0ne understands falcon better on a deeper level. His understanding of falcons hitboxes and overall move choices with falcon are better than wizzys. Wizzys playstyle and being better at tech chase and reactions make his gameplan better for results. So depends on your metric. I agree tho lol

It’s somewhat more optimal than claw because it’s easier to short hop on 3 framers but other than that it’s not better than perma claw which is what I play with. Z jump is also easier to learn than claw if you’re coming from standard.

@@Sunny92809I just figure between UCF, notches, and all of the insane controller mods that exist now to do everything from preventing snapback to making pivoting easier as well as a bunch of other things that it makes no sense to draw the line at Z jump. As long as nobody is using macros I don't see why it makes a difference given how far from vanilla melee the competitive scene is

@@PreacherJenkinsZ jump makes it easier to use rising aerials. I remember a vod where Cody hit Zain with something like 3 Fox rising nairs in a row at an height that is almost impossible to consistently get it. So Z jump just buff your consistency compared to legit players

Position wise its more efficient as you’re ready to do aerials instantly with the thumb on cstick instead of y/x -> cstick

It’s an outright controller upgrade that was basically immediately accepted because some top players started using in; when in comparison the b0xx had nerfs and controversy for years over legality despite being a sidegrade at best and a downgrade at worst.

@@aguy3082 its not a controller upgrade...nothing new is added to the mechanical features. It's a software. 64 and Melee is literally the only smash game you cant button map in the menu, even PM has had button remapping for years and no one complained about Z jumps during the hype then lol Only vanilla OEM players can complain about yal the variations and customizations you kids use nowadays, and ironically N0ne has about 20 different modded controllers yet they all suck?? hmmmn
