Z Review - Dayton T652 "Towers" 

I found these today at a thrift store for $30. Pretty happy with them.

I see that Dayton has upgraded to the AMT across all their line of speakers including these T652's.

They’re shockingly good for the price, but they kinda sound like a box. I’m curious as to what they’d be like with a little bracing, insulation, and a real crossover.

Could you do a comparison review of the Dayton T652 and the Dayton T652-AIR? If yes, then a side by side sound demo would also be great. I own a Dayton BR-1 bookshelf kit, which I assembled and they sound great. I would like to buy some tower floor speakers from Dayton. A review of the T652 and T652-AIR would be great.

These speakers look nicer (to me at least) than others, mostly because they do not have a bottom plate of larger size than the tower cross section.

Sorry if you've answered this before, but what monitor is that? I've never seen that form factor. Also, again, really enjoying your content. I've never seen this one-take, first-person sort of review style, and your personality makes it really entertaining.

When Dayton adds the AMT AIR tweeter to these towers, I will buy them sight unseen (unheard?)! The B652 AIRS sound amazing for what they are!

Why the knock against Steve Guttenberg?

I've seen some of your other videos. They are informative and packed with useful information but they are difficult to watch with all the camera movement and constant panning back and forth (and all over the place!).

You can get a pair of T652 AIRS for $135 at parts express right now! You should review the towers with the AMT tweeters when you get the chance, I'm interested in what they sound like especially for the price. Thanks Z.

With the new AIR tweeters out, would you recommend these towers or the B652 bookshelves with AIR tweeters? I'm looking to get the Dayton 5.1 package with a 10" subwoofer. Much appreciated.

Would you recommend these for 2.0 hometheater setup if I raise them up with a box or something, so that they are on the ear level?

In a home theater setting. Do you really need large Front L/R speakers? I have a micca center with crossover and it's amazing. I wanna downsize my L/R so can you give me some suggestions that won't break my bank? Please and thanks enjoy your vids a lot.

those are surprisingly decent for being made out of cardboard with no crossover. l use them in my entertainment set up because they were cheap, and honestly high quality speakers for youtube videos is a little bit silly. however l do have a pair of BIC american DV64's that sound amazing! and l also have a pair of polk monitor 4's, l don't know if they have a crossover but the way l see it is... if l can't tell then it doesn't matter because the mids and highs sound pretty well separated.

are you in a closet?

Sit them upside down on a desk, but then the tweeter would still be too low

I'm definitely going to get a pair of these to run on my center channel on my theater system because I want a really big center so it sounds nice and full I'll just run two of these Dayton audio t652 4 my center channel I think it would sound awesome

Haha you just described my exact setup tv stand with speakers on either end even the 55inch TV haha its a little high but not much at all sound great
