I had it on, but I noticed I would skip rpms, it would boost , but I would loose performance instead, I think I’m gonna take it off and install the stock, since I’m not running a tune. It wants to smoke, because it’s not getting enough fuel consumption it’s causing it to overheat and cause white smoke
you were likely running way too lean. it's easy to fix, you can remove the O2 sensor from exhaust and plug in a dongle that tricks the ECU into adding more fuel. Much cheaper than a fuel controller. look up kawasaki brad o2 delete. it's like 40 canadian dollars and easy to install.
When purchasing this intake kit, it gives you two options when purchasing. First Option is just the intake and the second option includes the Carbon fiber shroud brace, outer ware filter, and crank case filter. Which would option would i need to buy?
its been 6 months but i guess ill answer just in case. its really up to you, but I think its worth it for the extras. the outer ware pre filter is nice if you ever ride through dust or rain. the crank case filter is peace of mind that nothing will somehow make its way into the engine that way. the brace is honestly the best part though. when you remove the airbox, theres a big gap between the fairings where it used to be. without the airbox in there offering support, the fairings feel kinda flimsy. the brace keeps it all stiffer, and it looks good.
I may not have a Z but that was a good install video nonetheless. I am curious did you notice a loss in power after your exhaust replacement. Then what kinda power loss or gain did you notice after the filter install. Before any tuning was done???
Think ya just need to get a Z ;). But no, right after I installed this intake I installed the Bazzaz. There wasn't that big of a difference with just the exhaust since it is so restrictive to be quiet for recording motovlogs. But the race exhaust should be done soon ;)
Z Garage If I was looking for another mini a Z would definitely be on top. Also forgot to mention that you gave an interesting perspective about intake material used can affect air intake temperature and velocity.... 🤔
