Z690 vs Z790 || Intel Motherboard || INTEL i9 13900K + RTX 4080 ||

Z690 here, I bought the Tomahawk DDR4 and flashed the new bios. Saved $50 and only took 5 minutes to flash it. 😎

Thanks this video helped me convinced I Purchased it by mistake the ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 Extreme instead of the z790 on Black Friday which saved me over $300 compared to the z790 didn't see any deals close to returning it since i found I got the z690 but after reviewing both Asus ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 Extreme and z790 extreme both look pretty much the same and barely any difference if you compare both except for higher memory clocking while the z690 can OC up to 6400 which anything over 5600 is already considered overkill even for gamers like us and VR users and the new board has an additional PCI 4.0 support but not a big deal, looking at this even the z690 has a slight advantage in some parts over the z90 but honestly not a big difference

I'm amazed that these z790 mobos cost more than a ps5. Ridiculously overpriced.

Really no difference between them, except that the z790 boards seem to be a little better for memory overclocking.

No reason to upgrade from z690 to z790.

Convinced me not to bother ‘upgrading’ z690 ddr4 to a 790ddr5 and just upgrade gpu to a 4090 or wait for 50 series and sit this one out for now.

Are u sure that the God of War 4k Bench is correct? It seems to have too much in common. I think that you used the same videofile..

I have the z790 and also use the corsair h150i elite. But my i9 is never running on such low temperature. :( can you tell me how you do that? Would be a big help

Today best intel cpus support 5600 6000 mhz ram memory speed. Also socket type 1700 could be change on new 14 intel cpus. So z690 looks a better choice for now for an intel system. İf 14. gen cpus change their socket type, then no one will choose motherboards that has 1700 socket type.

Hello, an unfair comparison. You can break the speed of the Z790's RAM to 6600 Hz, and there is a difference of 10 frames.
