Imo decks that have low cube rates should be decks you can see coming. Cube rates are low because you should get the hell out of dodge. Zabu is an enabler there are still plenty of ways to shut down the cards he let's you play. I haven't been a part of the untapped ggexperience. Personally I think it takes away from the game. People are disillusioned thinking the meta is evolving. Second dinner does a great job of dictating what the meta will be. If the game play and card acquisition was as great as the Art ; this game would be phenomenal. While new features have been added the overall prices in this game are just absurd. The average person can't afford to chase the new flavor of the month. Even in the event you can. Second might do a complete overhaul of the card. Sorry it just feels bad. Marvel Snap can we please move forward? Introduce a more suitable permanent team affiliation system. ONE that interacts with other cards as well as locations. Add new modes of play: How about marvel snap cards in their vanilla form? Oh my, formats lol Lastly maybe its time they hired some people that understand marvel and how the people would respond to it. Just food for thought. Catch ya next time
Pretty much agreed with all your points. It's also gotten to the point where I kinda want to see what a Zabu-less meta is like. He has distorted everything for so long.
So the decks you pointed out also all included the great crutch that is "Shag Chi" and most of them also ran Aloith. Both of those cards completely deleted the development at a location. Both of those cards are most relevant at the end of the game when you are most likely to have them "in hand".. conversely, Zabu is only relevant if he comes down early when you are least likely to have access to him. I'm not saying Zabu is fine, but I can't agree that he's the worst offender in the game.

It would be interesting if Zabu had a counter abily like your 3 cost cost 1 more. This of course, wouldn't really fix it but it would work as some sort of trade (your 4 cost are now 3 cost, your 3 cost are now 4 cost) and you build around it.
At one point, someone mentions that Zabu is just played in a lot of decks because he’s flexible. Nico is possibly more flexible, but she’s not a problem like Zabu.
I honestly wish they would change Zabu to actually fit his theming. He originally came into the game to reduce the cost of Ka-Zar and Shanna, cards that care about 1-costs. Now Shanna doesn't even cost 4 anymore. Give him something to buff 1 costs. I don't know what that would be, since Black Swan and Caiera have crept into that playspace, but the Savage Land cat caring about 4-costs is just baffling.
Imho real issue is that 3 coats just suck. An averag 4 cos card is SO much better than an average 3 cost card that being able to avoid playing 3s is simply broken. If zabu was a 2/1 or even 2/0, he would still be too good simply because an average 4-cost is more than 3 power better than an average 3-cost
I think you're missing the forest for the trees... Who cares if Zabu is in every deck? People play more Jeff than Zabu, the point is what's being enabled. I'll always go back to the Galactus situation. Might not be the deck that wins the most, but it provides a negative experience. Replace G with Hela and voila.
resource cheating in every deck is vastly different than a solid card being in every deck. "the point is what's being enabled" Zabu is a massive player in what is being enabled as he is actively enabling it. Nerf Hela into the ground, and the top remaining decks are Zabu decks or Thanos decks
@@Bradcifer and that's a bad thing because... What? Variaty for variaty's sake? There's always going to be a group of decks at the top (call it tier 1, tier 1 and 1.5, or anything like that). Some decks can be excused to exist if they are low Tier 2 or bellow, "Zabu decks" are the best representation of what Snap is (or should be).
Zabu's mana cheat is the problem (4 energy throughout a regular game, enabling both points and interaction), but Hela and Lockjaw highrolling 5+ energy of dumb points per game is fine... Right.....
you either didn't watch the whole video or misinterpreted what I said if that is your takeaway Hela and lockjaw are RNG slot machines, as they both high and low roll frequently. if they are to be changed, it's due to the RNG not feeling very fun or satisfying to play; not the power level of the cards. As they are both within the metrics SD find to be okay. Something Glenn has even commented on within the past 24 hours
@@Bradcifermy take away is that you agree with Glenn, which it's exactly the problem in my eyes. The level of rng tolerance is too high in Snap, but that's the vice of card games that draws in the masses, so gotta lean on it somehow.
The fact that people have to be convinced that Zabu is the Meta blows my mind. If changing the card changes the way you approach the game means its meta. Shang Chi should only destroy one random 10 power and not every 10 Power in a lane(make the lazy get creative). The next Big bad that no one is talking about is The Living Tribunal. That card is way too busted and the numbers end up funky as hell when you add Onslaught. Only reason the stats are not as bonkers is because we've only had access to it a handful of times.
Tribunal isnt good because its too honest. You’ve got cards like echo rouge, and enchantress, which are all good cards that shut tribunal down. The only time tribunal was a problem was when blobs power was uncapped, which just isn’t a thing anymore. And if you have more than one 10+ power card at a location, something’s funky.
