I still don't know why people hate country so much. I love Metal, Rap, Rock, Reggae & Country and others because I love Music and it's a huge passion of mine to explore genre's, Artists and songs. Thank You Freethinkers Lost In Vegas!!
Absolutely. As a musician myself, too many ppl get caught up in one style/genre. I am a metal head, but I could sit back and listen to George Jones all night
From a woman's perspective, the line that always stood out for me was, "a pair of jeans that fit just right..." As any woman will tell you, finding a perfect pair of jeans is as close to the divine as many of us get in our day to day lives. 😊 Fun song; fun video.
I saw them in concert & when they sang the part about the military, they brought out Marines & they stood there saluting! Omg gave me full body chills! It was so amazing!
Brooks and Dunn did that at a concert I worked security at in 2004. It was awesome. The lights went down and people started standing, thinking it was over. All of a sudden, the National Anthem started playing. Several of us doing security were Marines because the company had an agreement with the units on the base for us to do security and our units got money that went to our birthday balls. It was a way for us to see concerts free and get off base, so we enjoyed it, so we popped to attention. Then the lights came back on and there was a color guard of Marines on stage and then Brooks and Dunn did “Only in America”.
Anyone going to recommend toes? Toes is a bop if you think chicken fried is. Got my toes in the water, ass in the sand, not a worry in the world, a cold beer in my hand, life is good today
“Dust on the Bottle” by David Lee Murphy “Copperhead Road” by Steve Earle “That’s Something to be Proud” by Montgomery Gentry You guys will love all 3!
Y'alls convo cracked me up. I was born in the country, when my parents split i was 2, she moved us to the damn ghetto in Indy and dad stayed in the country😂so we were raised both. So I never understood the hate between country folk and black folk because I never saw much of a difference. We ate the same, drank the same and hung out on the porch 😂
Bonnie sings this song with so much conviction it makes you visualize the pain that the song is about. She has always been much more deserving of accolades not only as a great blues singer but as one of the best guitarists in the business .
"You know, I like my beans Refried. Cold Cervesa on a friday nite, a para Choose that fit just right, and tear the dance floor uuuuuuup"....! Yeah, It could work!
Thank y'all for covering this! It's one of my favorite "pick-me-up" songs and I remember the first time I heard this was the day we were stepping off to the field and our command had the post's Army band play this for us in the most informal fashion. We were allowed to just gather in a circle in the grass before sending us off. This always makes me smile.
I have never heard anything from Paisley that I could get behind. Something just sounds too artificial in there. Zac Brown isn't my jam either, but compared to Paisley? Yeah, Brown all day.
I remember the day that song came out. I was so surprised/impressed to hear the DJ say for my favorite local rock station, "This is a brand new song by Zac Brown" And it was on my rock station. I was like ..... You sure you didn't miss your shift over at the country station?? And then Heavy Is The Head comes blastin out my speakers and I was like damn, I don't really like country generally, but I DO like Zac Brown, and I really like Chris Cornell, and then I heard the song and I was like yep, this sounds amazing.
Also I almost forgot to mention, apparenly Dave Grohl and Zac Brown are big time buddies. They give eachother advice and feedback on their songs/albums. You can see Zac Brown in the "Making of Sonic Highways" in the studio giving input while the Foo Fighters are recording their album. Very interesting stuff. That probably has some to do with why they're both so successful, they use eachother's expertise.
Your comment at 3:30 hits home.. I had a buddy that died over seas and this song let’s me know I can not only celebrate HIS LIFE but I can celebrate MY LIFE AND YOUR LIFE TOO! God bless his soul and thank you for your honest reaction. It’s obvious you are being genuine. 🙏 👏 👏 👏
Y’all are so insightful. Like that you can appreciate the way the different styles of music are products of the environments that the artists wrote the songs for.
ZBB one of my all time favorite bands, and the group that changed my mind about country. This reaction put a huge smile on my face. Love the open mind you guys bring to the channel. KEEP IT UP!
Do yourselves a favor and do Knee Deep by ZBB and Jimmy Buffet. Catchy tune with SUPER smart writing. One of my favorites, I'm sure it will be one of yours. Thanks fellas!
@@2869may Totally. Colder Weather is my favorite, but Highway 20 Ride a close second. Third for me is Bittersweet, which also has a great story behind it
I always go on a journey when I watch your videos. I'll watch videos I have already seen. I'll look at new reactions, man... I gotta say. I really wish more people were like you 2. The world would be a better place. Sending yall my love. Stay amazing!
man that drummer has a great feel and pocket. and its a good country song. I didn't expect the patriotic part near the end witch brought it back to the same Chorus, but the best part of the song was the bridge when he sang, the little things in life mean the most, theres no dollar sign on peace of mind. that part pulled the entire song together.
Gotta love zac brown band! This has to he one of my favorite reactions of yours. And I've watched dozens. I have always loved this song ever since it came out years ago and i was very excited to hear what you guys had to say about it and i dont think you could have said it any better. Well done.
That’s what I love about Sunday by Craig Morgan. It’s a feel good song with a good story and just good ole down home values. Thank u for the vids. They make our day. Keep on keepin on fellers. 🤟🏼
It's one of those feel good, sing along, country tunes. I gotta tell ya.....I love you guys! Your videos make me feel good...kind of like that song, puts a big ol smile, on my face!😊 Is it ok if this little old granny lady adopts you two?
There’s an amazing version of that very depressing song that’s extremely hard to find now (it was on a Cracker Barrel exclusive CD years ago) that was done by Deana Carter and Heart.
I love the range of content that you guys cover, it’s refreshing to see two people who are so open to any genre so long as it’s GOOD music.. big fan keep it up🙏🏼
Here in southern California we dance the two step to this song it it a blast, great song! Thank you guys much appreciation and gratitude for for your channel!
Day That I Die ft Amos Lee, best Zac Brown song ever but completely underrated and overlooked. Perfect harmonies, Melody, lyrics. So sick . You'll love that one.
Kinda hungry now lol. Thank both of you for this video I'm so sick of news it's good to see we can all share in things no matter who we are... Your videos are such a relief
Ok you're gonna have to do "Louisiana Saturday Night" to chase this one up. It's the feel good song of my gen's country music and you can't help but stomp your feet to it.
I wish more people would be open to listening to country! Sooooo many people are missing out because they have preconceived notions of what it is. Country has an incredible ability to tell a story that no other genre can seem to replicate. It's beautiful. I grew up on "Prime country" (80s and 90s) and its hands down my favorite.
Great reviews again!! I love how George explained it about how we all can connect in certain ways. Yet different in others while still being connected. Plus.................I love chicken too!!
I don’t consider myself “elitist” but I am really passionate about country and a traditionalist. They’ve really gone off the rails recently imo (even using electronic elements) which is frustrating because I love their first few albums.
@@infinitefantasy5277 well they arent just a country band. They will play hard rock, southern rock, blues, RNB , reggae and electronic music. I appreciate when a band does new things instead of just recycling the same old sound
ted yancey I get that, I don’t have anything against experimentation. I have a ton of country-pop artist/songs that I love even if it has mainstream elements/production. I think finding the line with country in particular can get a little tricky because simplicity and traditionalism is inherent to what makes something “country.” Once you remove those two things you might as well just call yourself a pop artist.
@@infinitefantasy5277 electric elements in country is not new, they may be more obvious, but real traditional country isn't even supposed to have electric instruments just acoustic strings and drums. country, like all genres, uses any new techniques that pop uses
tomuchcamoflauge oh it totally isn’t, i think my comment may have been too vague. When I said “electronic” I mean as in them using stuff like synths, trap snares, and 808s. Country-pop artist use overly slick sounds, modern production, and top 40 formulas all the time. But like I said previously, with country it’s all about finding a balance between all that stuff and classic traditions. People don’t know this but it’s pretty common for country Billboard to remove popular songs from its charts for not meeting all of the genres requirements (Kacy Musgraves and Sturgil Simpson both have mainstream Grammys with little or no radio airplay).
Agreed. There are definitely lesser songs, but that album is just great all around. (Yes I use the term album even if it’s a CD or a download. I’m not afraid to say I’m old, haha.)
I love you guys!! I Love that you are open minded and honest about the songs that you review! I'm a die hard Country fan, but I've watched you guys review other types of Music, and I find you're attitudes towards all music..unwavering!! You ALWAYS tell it like y'all see it, and I completely respect that about y'all!!! Keep up the good work guys!
I enjoy watching you guys enjoy good country sounds! I have so many I would have added to your list! As a lover of all things music I have a full video folder crossing most genres! Thanks for your great energy and shares!
When I clicked on this video, I said to myself, "I'm so embarrassed that I love this song, but I'm going to watch this cuz it makes me smile," and I'm SO HAPPY I did because you made me feel better about liking this simple and beautiful song, so thank you. You really touched on why it makes me smile. Fantastic reaction!!
Great reaction, awesome song. Reminds me of my childhood in watauga county North Carolina. Now in uk 35 years later, I miss the simplicity of my rural upbringing. Appreciate what y’all do
Country Music gets A LOT of criticism. But country music tells a story like no other genre of music. I am SOOOO glad that the "Lost in Vegas" crew can appreciate what country music TRULY offers. The old saying about country music is "Three chords and the truth." These guys get that. Thanks guys, and keep up the good work. I love your channel. Oh yeah, ANYTHING by Cody Jinks is AWESOME !!!!!!!! LOL
What I continue to appreciate about the two of you is your willingness to reach out musically. You see the multitudes of genres, and you want to connect with them. This is what keeps me coming back to your reaction videos. Plus, I think this is the message to your viewers. Try listening to a genre you would never think of listening to (i.e. Rap, Samba, Reggae, K-Pop, etc.). I believe the more you try to let music bridge the cultural gaps, you find that the gap isn't that wide and the bridge is paved with some really good music.
While modern country is a genre that I'm not that interested in, Zac Brown is one of the best. Now let's get some Country Boy can Survive by Hank Williams Jr.
If you guys like this, check out Toes off the same album. Another good one. On a side note, George, your comment on the negativity in the comments was spot on. Thank you. Great video guys.
