@@jenniferdijames1671 Love? You said love? Love isn't a strong enough word to describe how much we all (for lack of a better word) love Zac Brown Band
Fantastic track. My daughter and I sang this one in the truck together when she was still little. The lyric and that memory are special to me, just the way a good country song is supposed to be. God bless America. ...Why would I ever leave? I got some good friends...
Hopefully it'll reach the top of the country charts! It's so rootsy, groovy and catchy. It's also very country for the standards of today's radio. Love it! :)
Y'all I couldn't remember the name of this song but I kinda knew it was from this band (I don't usually listen to country music unless I'm my grandfather's car but I prefer to listen to my own music) but I kept thinking of this song for some reason when I don't remember it at all except for listening to it. I'm glad I found it because I couldn't remember it at all.
Man I can't believe this song is 7 years old already. I remember when this came out I even got the CD. I remember They played this song on Nash FM several times a day for months after release.
I got a piece of land out in the countryside Lay back and smell the sun warm up the Georgia pine Feels so good to be taking it easy Why would I ever leave? Cause I know [Chorus] I got some good friends that live down the street Got a good looking woman with her arms 'round me Here in a small town, where it feels like home I've got everything I need and nothing that I don't Homegrown Homegrown [Verse 2] We got a fire going down by the riverside Sip whiskey out the bottle, living like we'll never die Come on and stay a while if you don't believe me Why would I ever leave, cause I know [Chorus] I got some good friends that live down the street Got a good looking woman with her arms 'round me Here in a small town, where it feels like home I've got everything I need and nothing that I don't Homegrown Homegrown I got some good friends that live down the street Got a good looking woman with her arms 'round me Here in a small town, where it feels like home I've got everything I need Homegrown And nothing that I don't Homegrown Everything I need Homegrown And nothing I don't Homegrown It's the weight that you carry from the things That you think you want It's the weight that you carry from the things That you think you want Weight you carry It's the weight that you carry from the things That you think you want It's the weight that you carry from the things That you think you want [Outro] I've got everything I need, nothing that I don't Homegrown Everything I need, nothing that I don't Homegrown Everything I need, nothing that I don't Homegrown Oh, everything I need and nothing that I don't Homegrown
Amazing song. Just makes me love America so much more and that we have a country so much different than anyone else around the world. We don't have the Caste system, Mass Genocide, 1 child policies like China, arranged marriage. We have freedom and I won't take this for granted a single day
Once again ZBB makes another flawless song. His songs are so amazing and I don't think he gets enough credit for the effort he puts into his music. Bravo Zac Brown!
i haven't stop listening to this song. It's different from what they usually do!! It's super unique and AWESOME ttttttthhhhhuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmbbbbbbbbbbbssssssssssss uuuuuuuupppppppppppppp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Every song the Zac Brown Band has ever made should have hit #1. However, like all truly great musicians, their talents are underappreciated and underestimated and will likely be until years after they stop.
Sadly, that is true. They are very popular, but only in the south and random spots around the world and a little bit of southern Canada. They do not get the recognition that they truly deserve, but that is just how the business works.
This song describes me perfectly. I got the greatest friends in my life, the greatest girl a guy can ask for, and a small town where everybody knows everybody. Keep it up ZBB!!!
I'm doing good. The other day i heard Blakes new song called sangria, then minutes after my cousin had a new sangria mountain dew, and i saw it and decided I was thirsty so I went to the fridge and saw a sparkling cider pulled it out, it was a new limited time sangria flavored one. Sangria is popular right now, I guess.
When I listen to this song it reminds me of where I grew up.... A small town called breesport. It was a small house In the middle of nowhere but when I got ungreatful for the things I had, I would remember that I have good friends, a roof over my head, a pretty girl, and basically everything need. 🙂
dont you ever say that.... no one i know wants to be southern. im from the west coast and its harder to get a job if you have a southern accent. sucks but it does sound silly ha
Kevin Witt I am too far from the south to be remotely close to southern but something about the music and lifestyle just gets me. I prefer country music over every type of genre out there, INCLUDING ELECTRONIC.
This song is about HOME GROWN !!! to anyone that has smoked marijuana HOME GROWN is a perfectly sensible song and if you don't think its about weed ( including the rest of the lyrics) then you are very good at self delusion
"Living like we'll never die...!!!" "Got some good friends that live down the street...!!" It's the weight that you carry from from the things you think you want...!!" "I got everything I need and nothing that I don't...!!" Best show at Fenway in "Bahston" x 2...!!!
I might not be a big fan of all country music, but this song is brilliant! It's so musically simple and lyrically clever that it must climb the charts!
Where are people getting this, "REAL talent stays hidden such as Zac Brown Band" BS? I admit, Florida Georgia Line and Luke Bryan are way up there on the charts, but every radio station around here plays Zac Brown Band VERY regularly, quite often in a day I'll hear more Zac Brown Band than Florida Georgia Line. Stop saying these guys are unknown. They are known, and they are great, and this song is about being happy with what you have and the way things are, so don't gripe that these guys aren't played more than they are. Life is good, Zac Brown Band lives and thrives on, be happy.
I agree with all ya said, but I think your situation is different from mine. Every station I turn to, it's the morons I listed. I hear a ZBB song once in a blue moon and that's it. As that person said above, it must just depend on where the person lives.
A country song that describes a good country life without shoving the words truck, beer, dirt road (rural noun coupled with simple adjective), etc. down our throats.
