I loved that they slayed in different ways. Harris is so naturalistic, it comes off as if he's genuinely having a conversation. Whereas Julia went the other way, being dramatic and acting up a storm. But by doing so, she created a really little scenario. Teyana Taylor and Greta Lee were probably next best, though you can tell they thought it was super cringe.

It's because the song is more voice acting than singing

I think every actor works differently. It's possible he isn't a "pick up the script and be ready to go" guy. Or maybe whoever explained the conceit didn't convey that he can go a little weird with it. He's a much better actor than this shows.
