Zach will soon find out how quickly loses stack up. He needs help in devising schemes and quickly becoming dynamic in calling plays. Those lateral plays just don’t work and pick 6 waiting to happen
The guy is in his first year, and learning on the job, but I trust his background working in the Shanahan and McVay systems. His time at PFF also helps. Give him time. I think he can be the next great coordinator from those systems.
@RichFitness101 that's y he said give him time..because this is a NEW team...and he have to match up falcons personnel with the plays he have...he has to adjust and so do the players..a formula not mad over night..but the formula is improving
He looked like he was just too happy calling plays in the booth instead of the right plays at the right time. It seems like he comes up with plays for the game and runs them in order no matter the defense or down and distance
Falcons fans are the worst 🤣 bunch of “experts” in the comments thinking they know what they’re talking about trying to give advice but couldn’t even coach a high school team.
I like how Bijan owned his failures to gain 1 yard on two critical plays in two games. I feel like Allgeier failed to make the key block on the 4th down play but a 220lb RB has to be able to fall forward for 1 yard if he is truly a top RB. People call Bijan a big RB but he doesn't play big. Normally Allgeier hits the hole totally different and much more aggressive but on that 3rd down play even he stopped his momentum behind the line of scrimmage.
Zack response to the Pitts question has me concerned that he may not truly understand how to get him more consistently involved in the offense. You may want to listen to Ryan Clark bro. He said for you to look at how the Eagles offense coordinator uses their tight end. And I agree with him.
Zac had drop back QB in Stafford. The difference was palpable between Mahomes mobility and Cousins lack of mobility. Also, the play calling of Reid was clearly more explosive. Defenses are so fast these days. With Cousins, and really any NFL QB today, we need to call all quick hitters to outfox the defenses in these first four teams. Kyle could be targeted a lot more and Bijan could get a faster start. They are learning to play together, but I believe they will be fine. Most pocket QB’s don’t like rolling out, but Shanahan forced it with Ryan and it’s what made him an MVP. It’s a higher risk game, but also higher reward, and Ryan never got hurt. Our line is less effective pass blocking than run blocking. I think rollouts would actually protect Kirk in a lot of instances if he got rid of the ball quick enough. Going through his progressions is gonna get him killed!
Coach seems to be familiarizing himself each week as we play & progress as a better offense. We just need to do better on those 3rd & 4th plays as well as ensuring that we are able to get more successful, explosive plays each time so we can get even closer to the end zone and rack up more points. We got this.
Can we get some better reporters? The questions they come up with every week are ridiculous, like they just discovered football. "Tell us what a center does?" "Are you louder on the field, have you worked on your voice?". No wonder the players and coaches look at some of these reporters like they're morons for the questions they ask, especially D-Led. People complain about the quality of answers, but it's because these questions are bad.
WHY DO I FEEL ZAC IS HOLDING BACK BECAUSE IT WOULD EXPOSE SOMETHING ABOUT KIRK OR HIS STYLE OF COACHING IS FOR A PENIX TYPE..... JUST HAD A THOUGHT CAUSE WHEN LOOK AT HIS CALLS AND THE WAY A MORE MOBILE QB WOULD HAVE MORE SUCCESS...
