zack's so good at being fluid and matching the interviewees energy. he's just someone who knows how to talk to ppl and move with them rather than against them
@@goon4744 yeah it definitely sucks cause I had tickets too but whatever dude, I'm hoping he comes back but nonetheless glad he's feeling better and continuing forward. Dude's on that grind if he has to miss a few shows to make the others better that's all that matters
This interview was Soo fluid and natural , the two were meant to connect . I'm surprised there wasn't any talk of a Jpeg & Zack Collab. Absolutely lost my shit toward the back end of the interview when Zack was describing Bjork . 10/10 need a round two interview
I havent even watched this shit yet but based on the earl internet im so fucking hype that shit had me dying and these both are legends so lets fucking go
What an excellent interview! The honesty and revelations made here really opened my mind up even more to both Zach and Peggy. Zach comes off as trying to having a genuine conversation with Peg. Who himself seems like the kind of guy who don't even be talkin to niggas. But as a semi-former semi-recluse weird nigga I understand immensely where Jpeg is coming from. The 17:00 mark this conversation gets just incredible. Keep this up Mr.Fox! Can't wait for the album!
this was great. the church shit was definitely a sorta deep cut, a very specific experience that im glad he and others are able to capture. that black southern gospel shit has a very unique flair to it that other kinds of music just don't really reach, and its weird because now i'm definitely an atheist but what bangs simply bangs, aint no way around it. they make really good music despite my feelings about the church and that whole community. but yeah anyway zack is really well spoken not that its super surprising, but these were great questions and he's a natural at guiding conversations and adding levity with jokes here n there. duality of man.
@@dmetriusmarch that also makes sense. The church was one of the few places black musical creativity had some relative freedom. plus the Christianity bag is heavy and runs deep
I agree bro, I'm agnostic but will sing my ass off to any gospel song I hear. I'm 17 so really without being in church for some time, I wouldn't know about groups like the winons
I truly bet bjork would be happy to collab w peggy. She had i think it was baby im bleeding or one of his other songs in a curated playlist she made for some radio show or something, but it was like a very heavily thought out curated list of songs she had been adding to it for years if im not mistaken so it seemed like she probably fucks w some of his stuff a good amount id assume idk. And i think peggy is definitely worthy of collabing with someone like her or thom yorke even if he doesnt see himself in that light yet
“& SHE SAID….” 😂🤣 damn yo i love jpeg,, been a while since i heard em talk… always pushing some very forward, untouched on ideas n terms of hip hop, music, nd black masculinity/self image in the mainstream… hella funny tho, happy 2 hear this. peace
Rumour has it that one time Oloff was sat next to Jar Jar Binks on a flight. Jar Jar kept kicking the chair in front of him and generally being obnoxious, nobody knew what to do. Eventually one of the flight attendants came over and asked Oloff if he would perform one of his songs to calm Jar Jar down, and when Oloff began rapping the first verse to Doing It Stealthy, Jar Jar immediately relaxed. To this day the two are still close friends.
How the hell did Zach Fox even get past the IP-Ban? They IP-Banned my ass for saying Kanye was being dumb af during his Presidential Campaign Race in The Summer of 2020.
Jpeg where you been at, I bet doin promos! 🧸 I joined the military. Tried to find someone who became a singer songwriter producer later on after the military. Found Jpeg. I want to do that some day so friggen bad. Good to see this! Thanks for doing the interview!
@@angelperezmonarrez9892 Thanks. I joined before looking up "ex military singer songwriter"-finding MAFIA. I'm in the NAVY. Very new. So far so good. I do realize death is possible. But with the free education etc the military had to offer me I thought it was worth trying. What I want to do honestly is just stay in while making music and if I never succeed writing hits Ill just retire after 20 yrs with a pension. Solid plan I think. Though it is hard. In a very demanding occupation too. Doing my best 👍 I'll probably drop my first single sometime this year.
There are times in life where you just want everything to end. There are other times when you just want to listen to Doing It Stealthy at max volume and call your boss the R-word
He said Danny was opening for Gambino could have been one of those things where you buy tickets for a show then check out the openers as you are getting hyped for the show or he was just blasting Hybrid back in the day lol
@@krunkformula the fact at hybrid hed know what danny would become , preety sure he went for Danny more than Childism gambino as he talks about Danny being a big inspiration WAYYY more than he ever did about being a fan of Donald glover but i could b wrong
@@maverikregime6885 thats a fair point but to my point just because you liked someone at one time doesn't mean you can't discover new artists and end up liking those artists way more. He had to find out about Danny somehow and probably found him through interest in other music thats how I find people usually
@@callumpartridge625 is jpeg from detroit tho I didn't know he said he grew up in the south I know he was in Baltimore but I didn't know he was in Detroit
I listen to Doing It Stealthy by Oloff whenever I need therapy. Yeah, I could pay $300 an hour for some college clown to tell me what to feel, or I could just smash great big fucking coconuts on my head and listen to my favourite song over and over again.
Idiots who still use this term when talking about black people who aren't walking stereotypes of what black people should be like are retarded. Black people are not a monolith.
