I just can’t believe what I’ve been seeing. This guy is out here trying to promote baseball, and the negative energy is just astounding as there's a drive into deep left field by Castellanos and that'll be a home run. And so that'll make it a 4-0 ballgame.
I’ve never met the dude, but have seen him at games. Very approachable to fans who may not even like him. I don’t find the ball hawking to be annoying, but it’s his actions when he doesn’t get what he wants i. e. the Kershaw incident. The A-Rod incident was also extremely tacky and didn’t need to be drawn out for as long as it did. Same with the Coors incident. I think Zack makes good content and tries to help grow the game for a younger generation, but it’s when he’s making weird statements on Twitter when something doesn’t go his way or he receives hate is what rubs me the wrong way.
He’s sponsored by a seat ticketing company, has access to a lot of cool stuff we don’t, and has fun with the kids and signs autos and gives away balls… also donates to charity for kids baseball, I think you guys are just jealous tbh
Sounds like you are just sucking off Marcus Stroman 😂🤡using his exact words and this was made 6 days ago after Stroman tweeted… why did you need stroman’s words to make this video? Why not on your own before any influence… Zack is a good dude, y’all are the real clowns
How petty is this guy?? Ehh !!! There more to A-rod story just so guy know !!! But I. Give this credit he did all Can about this guy in 9 minutes respect for that !!!!
Unless it is a home run or a commemorative, i haven't seen the guy keep it once in the past year. While being part of the youth, the taking from the youth stuff is utter bs. He is mostly liked by kids, as most of the time, the only people complaining about him are the other 30 and 40 year old men. As weird as it may be seeing a 40 year old run around and catch baseballs, complain, and get someone entitled, He is overall a good person.
He's a selfish prick for keeping A-Rod's 3000-hit ball though - that ball deserves to go to A-Rod or Cooperstown. It's history. Yes, he eventually relinquished it but that's honestly a no-brainer the second it lands in your glove. Such a huge milestone... give it to the damn player.
@@AJR-zg2py nope. It’s his property. He has no obligation to give it back. They eventually got a deal but he’s the one who caught it. It’s HIS. SO SHUT UP
@@AJR-zg2py haha bro thats like if you get tom bradys last TD or a milestone base/football...you better make them give you some autographs and hell donate money to a charity thats awesome and they have more than enough money to do it. may as well take advantage of it
Have you ever watched a baseball game? When a home run or a foul ball goes into the bleachers, there are always multiple people trying to get the ball including a lot of adults. I have been to a lot of baseball games and never once had an usher tell anyone that they couldn’t leave their seat to try to get a ball. That is a bit over the top and not handled very well by the stadium security.
@@nickr4015 Dude, get over yourself. It happened already. It’s done. I bet you’re still throwing fits and punching the air because of the 2021 all star game and will so for years to come. It’ll be 2071 and you’ll still be here bitching about this. Still living rent free. Pathetic. Plus, your feelings aren’t facts or stats. Google is free and isn’t hard to use.
I actually called the Rockies office and they were very negative towards Zach. If you can’t leave your seat to catch a ball, I am not going to your stadium. Hang in there, Zach!!!
@@Mbolf24 What facts? He runs around stadiums getting balls, invites people to join him in trying to get balls, gives balls to kids all the time, and has made a business of it. Free market and all that stuff people claim they want, but then want to throw shade at someone for coming up with something they enjoy and can make a living off of. What “facts” do you have?
Started watching his videos a while back and I like them and he seems like a good guy from what I've seen. Then he came up on my Twitter feed and I was surprised by the amount of people that don't like him.
I enjoy what Zack does. He is the best at getting baseball and has the passion like we did as kids. Anyone that hates him probably has not met him or watched his videos. Yes he has gotten 11,000+ baseballs but how many smiling kids do you see in his videos? He is bringing in fans from youtube to the games. Baseball has a marketing problem and he solves that. Man getting a baseball at a game is awesome. I once got Alex Rios' used baseball gloves and a few other items years ago and it made me year. Made sure to use his gloves for high school ball.
He's fake nice. He does more harm for the game than he does good. He ruins the game for the people who can't afford to go to multiple games a year and pay for a seat in a specific section in hopes to catch a ball. That person then goes home with a ruined experience because of Zack reaching over them in their own section for a baseball. How people don't see this is beyond me. It's literally not fair. He gets funded by other people to go to these games and catch balls, taking away from other people. How can anyone think that is good for the game?
@@evanrodriguez8608 So all the kids that got baseballs from him each game is worse than your so called ruined fans. Can you provide tangible evidence this is true?
I’ve been to Coors field many times the place is never more than 75% full. Also that area is right near many shops and food places and is a big open area. I think Zach was more than justified to be unhappy.
I agree, stupid arrangements by the staff. Who cares how old he is? He’s enjoying his experience how he wants to, he’s not hurting anyone. He can run for a homerun ball if he wants
@@samrose5780 I'm 23. Keep your "I'm a man. I do a man's job" mentality. As if there aren't thousands of jobs within the MLB, this guy gets to watch games for a living lmao. Pretty nice gig?
@@Jimmy_Peep ??? I agree with you man, I’m saying that you’ve got to be some salty old dude down on his luck to hate on a guy that doesn’t really do anyone harm
@@samrose5780 oh crap my bad man haha. Just seemed like you were saying me and people who support him are salty that he watches baseball for a living and we don't lol. But totally agree with you.
im glad the comment section is mainly defending Zack. Yeah he did some things that look really childish but for the most part he’s a pretty nice guy, and just be doing his own thing and I gotta give it to him.
I like the guy he is my most accessible method to watch baseball, so perhaps he needs to tone it down a little and not feel so entitled to run after every ball that goes his way. Being a public image you put yourself up for criticism and if this is Zacks worse critic then he is still a great asset for the sport.
Can't wait for this next generation of kids to be sprinting around like him fighting each other and being petulant brats like Zack... over baseballs. If he wasn't such a whiny, cry baby when he doesn't get every single ball he asks for, he'd have significantly less haters.
I think he was pretty smart with the A-Rod ball. Might as well get something out of it. If anything he just magnified the ridiculousness of the importance of a ball.
I respect the hustle. He shows up with gear from both teams to get a better chance at toss ups and autographs. Then wears neutral gear so he’s not pressured to throw back home runs. He figured out a way to attend games professionally.
Looks like this comments section is split 50/50 on whether or not they stand with Hample. I was a fan of him, but honestly as I've seen him grow more and more entitled and act somewhat childish, I don't think I can consider myself a fan anymore. Hample fans can come after me saying "haters gonna hate" or whatever, but i don't care. That usher and the stadium security were doing their jobs. The way he argued with them and tried to bargain with them is straight up childish. His RU-vid audience is mostly children. It's great that he's getting so many kids into the game, but at the same time, do you really want this man to be an influence on your children? If he's promoting this argumentative, childish behavior, that's just going to encourage kids to do the same. It's cool that he does all this charity work, but I can't get behind his whiny persona. It's sad, really.
People are (obviously) allowed to dislike Zach Hample, but I will say from firsthand experience that Coors Field ushers/security are among the most rigid, pushy, and unlikable people you'll ever meet. They rule over their domain with an iron hand, and suck all the fun out of going to a game there. Zach is right in his criticism of Coors Field. Some of the other stunts he's pulled over the years are a little over the top.
I fully support him. I love his content and will continue to watch him give baseballs to kids. He's literally living my dream. That usher was being an asshole about the whole situation. No wonder the Rockies stadium is empty every game.
Zack Hample keep doing what your doing I think your very good for baseball and I really enjoy your Video's . As for what they did to you in Colorado was very uncalled for I've never seen you disrespect anyone your great for the game Keep on keeping on You make a lot of kids happy and that's the same thing a Ball Player tries to do.
Going to the game and trying to catch a baseball is no more absurd than going to a baseball game and buying a $75 ticket, buying a $150 jersey, buying a $15 Beer and a $10 Hot Dog, and then pretending like you're "a part of the team" just because you're from that city. The Truth is that the Sportswriters/Commentators/Players/Ushers/Stadium Staff/Owners couldn't give a SHIT about the average fan!
Zacks great!!!... Plenty of people live vicariously through him, as I do Coors field security was over the top, and he has never hurt anybody. Nobody is perfect and sometimes online I've said shit I regret I bet most people have as well.
Mfs just be hating 🤣🤣🤣. Swear it's only the older heads too, "now catching baseballs is an accomplishment" meanwhile he's talking on the radio about other people 🤦♂️ fkn weirdos.
Hample is a goofball, but it seems pretty genuine and for the most part he’s harmless, great with all kids and on the whole does a lot more good than bad. If you can even cal it bad, more mildly annoying.
He seems very harmless. I get the heat because he goes to all the stadiums and has more baseballs than a normal person should and brags about, so he should be ready for disrespect. But, he’s doesn’t seem like a bad guy, his videos are not hurting anyone.
being a deeply closeted aging gen-Xer with tremendously wealthy parents is a recipe for disaster. but rather than die of a drug OD or turning into a wallstreet/siliconvalley supervillain this guy has eeked out a fairly harmless existence even if it's very cringe to watch and even if he has had a few big slipups. seems like an okay fella. ...he should maybe get a life, though.
Zack is definitely right about the John. Him and the Rockies stadium workers are way to strict about leaving your seat most other stadiums are not like that. And catching balls is kind of part of the fan experience at the ball park. And as long as you aren’t knocking people over what’s so wrong with leaving your seat to catch one of those balls. Especially a meaningful one. I know I would do the same.
This right here. The two times I went to watch a game form outfield at Coors where almost un-enjoyable due to the strict ass “Karen” security at the stadium. I’ve been to 5 total MLB Ballparks in my life and Coors was definitely the worst due to how security treated you and everyone around you. Couldn’t even move down 5 rows at that empty ass ballpark without security immediately threatening to throw us out.
For real man I feel for Zack. That’s what he loves to do is to catch baseballs and people have an issue with that. Also it’s most likely that the stadium employees are told to act like that towards fans because that’s their job or they are just naturally bad people. It’s absolutely ridiculous that they have to set rules for Zack and they are being discriminatory to him. Catching baseballs is his job and it wouldn’t matter if I didn’t support it (well I do support it) because that’s his love for baseball.
I do agree with the fact that Zach Hample is an annoying figure that makes things too much about himself, however at the same time I do think stadium security at major league stadiums are getting horrendous across baseball. I went to the futures game at dodger stadium during all star weekend recently and had a security guard make me open up a sandwich I was bringing into the game (which is allowed) and he dug his hands all over the food to inspect it for whatever the hell he thinks people smuggle inside a sandwich which was uncalled for. A couple weeks later a friend of mine went to a dodger game and said a fan who caught a home run ball got the ball taken away and was thrown out of the stadium because the guy couldn’t prove to security that he had a ticket for the bleachers during the late innings of a blowout game. In Zach’s case neither him or the security supervisors handled the situation in the correct manner and it points to a larger issues of unprofessional “mall cops” at stadiums hampering the fan experience and Zach being a big baby.
Zack is a good person at heart, but I think he has some problems with narcissism, if that sentence doesn't contradict itself. Stroman has no right to call him a clown though lol, he's an even bigger one.
The fact you made a video to profit on your own, to try to make him look bad, just shows who you are. Everyone makes bad choices, but we are holding him accountable for things that are debatable if they are unethical. Look, he donated money to the kids charity, always gives balls away, signs autographs, etc.. He openly admits he is weird. Let him continue to be a kid and enjoy the game of baseball. Stop hating!
Not hating at all. I think it’s great he’s built a brand and lifestyle that makes him happy. The only thing I take issue with is him putting that usher from Coors on blast like he did and doubled down on it later. Super irresponsible behavior when you have a huge following to potentially put a target on someone whose just doing his job. He’s been in the spotlight for too long and is too old to be doing stuff like that to regular people.
@@JabroniBaseball do you believe the usher treated him the same as if he was not who he is? Why should he get spoken to like that? At the end of the day, there’s no rule saying he cannot do that. He paid for entry. Someone made an analogy on a comment, but it’s like going to Disney and told you cannot go on the rides, you can only watch them. My kids enjoy going to games and getting balls because of him. What people miss, baseball needs to be celebrated and enjoyed like Zack does, it’s what will keep the game going.
@@scotthellertaxes217 well honestly nobody really knows what happened. Zack started filming after the fact. We don’t know the whole context. Like If there was multiple times he was told to stop. I’ve been to enough games where ushers won’t even let you into a section without proof you bought a ticket there and I’ve seen ballhawks be told to sit down a few times. So if anything it’s more likely that Zack gets more privilege because of who he is and at least in this incident, was treated like how most people are.
@@JabroniBaseball you basically just admitted your stance on him is not favorable. It’s ok for you to think he is a bad person. But just understand you’re doing the same thing he is doing. Have a great day, and best of luck to your channel!
@@scotthellertaxes217 Not at all. All Im saying is, I don’t agree with how he reacted to the usher. He could’ve turned the camera off and just talked to the guy. But he decided to record him, and put him on blast to millions of people in an effort to shame him over something that’s pretty silly in the grand scheme of life events. But I appreciate the love, always good to have respectful discourse with people. Wish you nothing but success and good vibes 🤙🏼
He can catch all the balls he likes no problem with that. The thing I don't like is he thinks he's just it. Walks around as if he owns all the MLB stadiums and telling staff how to do their jobs. He also tries to interact with players as if is one of them. But the thing that worries the most is why a man in his mid 40s is still hanging around kids and still try to act like one. People say he is very approachable 🤔.
If Zach could throw a ball 99 mph, he could literally attack a woman in a parking lot and still be loved by the Dodgers as long as he promised to be a good boy. Instead, he likes catching home run balls, and suddenly he's bad?
He’s just getting a lot of the hate lately for how he handled the usher at Coors Field. Could’ve done a much better job with that instead of putting the guy on blast in front of millions of people. We all make mistakes and maybe handle things wrongly, but imagine some dude with millions of followers putting you out there like that and now people know where you work, your name etc. Very slippery slope.
So you decided to do the same thing? I mean this video is available to millions, you are using his name etc. Also making false claims of being objective when get a life come on you don't clearly believe that do u? If so that's called delusion. Your title proves otherwise. It's like saying u are being objective and then title the video "the worst police force in history". Then go on to say u aren't saying anything bad about them. The disconnect you are showing honestly makes me think you are a psychopath. Sorry to say that and maybe u need help, honestly though, not trying to be mean at all, don't know u at all, but clearly you aren't being true to yourself. Zero concept of reality (posts video titled most HATED then claim u didn't say that and are objective) yeah zero concept.
Not sure why people hate on others when they’re successful. This is what he does for a living and is successful. Sounds like a bunch of weird insecure jealousy.
Y’all leave Zack alone. His videos provide so much so much lore and helpful information about ballparks. I’ve lived in the Bay Area my whole life and it wasn’t until I saw one of his videos that I realized Oracle Park offers a crab sandwich. Plus while he DOES get a lot of foul balls he almost always offers it to kids nearby as soon as he catches or grabs one.
Catching a ball is whatever but basically trying to get a man fired or in deep trouble because your mad didn’t get your way a particular day is not a good look. I think he just needs to be more careful with his wide fan base and clean up the tweets and exchanges with stadium employees and he would be less polarizing.
I seriously started watching base ball again because of some of his videos but he does need to chill out sometimes but it’s and art to him so I understand plus Not everywhere is like New York which is I think what he probably has the hardest time with
Marlins Man is way more obnoxious. Guy wears bright orange uniform and sits behind home plate so everyone can see him. Then proceeds to show everyone around him shit on his phone the whole game. Usually is seated with one or two escorts he buys for the night. He's the Bilzarian of baseball and every bit as douchy.
In general I don't have a problem with him or what he does; however, his incessant running around and moving around during games can be an annoyance to other fans who are actually there to watch the game. There was always a ballhawk community, but there used to be a lot more respect and consideration among them, even back when fans were allowed to bring nets to baseball games. My biggest problem with Zack is that he has created a generation of ball chasers that do not have his skillset. There are kids who attend games whose sole focus is getting as many baseballs as possible, not just one, and if they annoy or disturb other fans neither the kids nor their parents give a crap. I have been a season ticket holder for over 40 years. I had to move my season tickets in RF because it got so bad one year all I did all game long was get up and down to let kids run in and out of their seats chasing baseballs. Kids that don't have his skillset do bump into, knock into, and run over other fans. I've seen others steal balls from other fans, including kids. These ball chasers, once a discreet community of like-minded, considerate attendees of baseball games, have devolved into a selfish, greedy, screw everyone else and their enjoyment of a ballgame group of narcissistic jerks.
Zack Hample has never done anything wrong y’all think that he is doing something wrong he isn’t. I have had the opportunity to meet Zack at Dodgers Stadium he is an amazing person and a wonderful ballhawk
This guy is just overhated over nothing. Any little thing he does wrong causes an uproar against him on social media. It’s become a trend to hate on hample at this point.
Im sorry people who hate on Hample are basically jealous. The dude gives all the balls to kids and hardly runs kids over. And im on that side of him with the usher. He was going for a HR ball and got in no ones way. Then to force him to stay in is seat when literally no one at the game at all stays at there seat. Yeah big L in Colorado.
I don't think he did anything wrong tbh. The fort Bragg one was met but I'm sure he pays taxes so he pays for our bloated ass military to be watching baseball. And he really didn't act in a way any other fan might. Coors field and their staff suck any who third worst experience in any park I've been in behind Camden park and fenway.
Don't get the "outrage" over that at all. Someone gave him a ticket that was probably going to go to waste because his girlfriend wasn't interested in going. It's not like he mugged someone outside the stadium or snuck in illegally.
The old he may possibly hurt somebody for simply moving around a stadium is the simplest and most made up excuse to make up stupid rules. Basic movement in an open concourse should not be controlled
damn. pretty solid analysis and i like that you didn't just go at him or kiss his ass. i can't believe how much hate he got for going to the ft bragg game. it's literally a baseball game. honestly, a game where people throw a ball fast, someone tries to hit it, then other people try and catch the ball. and people are upset at someone else they've never even met for attending. who cares forreal lol i honestly couldn't believe how the radio guy was acting at the beginning either. "i can't believe catching a baseball is an accomplishment", meanwhile his job is talking into a microphone. i mean come on man lol i'm sure people at the games can get annoyed with him running around trying to catch the balls while they're just sitting there but still, if a ball is being hit in your direction, there's going to be commotion whether zack sample is there or not. i think because he just happens to be everywhere, people think he's causing more problems than he is. leave the man alone.
My biggest gripe with Hample is he makes the game about him. He acts like he owns each and every stadium, or at the very least like he’s the only fan in them. Look, I don’t hate on the guy for hawking baseballs; I’ve hawked quite a few myself. But he’s the only guy I’ve seen who will whine about it on Twitter and or RU-vid when a player says no. He also doesn’t seem to realize (or care) what impact his actions have on stadium staff and fans around him. It’s not just “catching a baseball” like everyone says; he could potentially cause a safety hazard to himself or others, and could easily have a negative impact on other fans experience. As far as the ARod and Ft. Bragg, that was just tacky on his part.
I’m sure there’s drunk people or just ahole fans in general that are way worse but people just focus on him cause they’re jealous that he gets so many balls. No other stadiums have any problems with him in fact in Miami they let him come on the field before the game. I do not support the coors field worker one bit it’s obvious he’s a power hungry guy that likes telling people what to do that’s not the kind of person I want to be around. I thank god truist park has awesome workers. Nothing like the assholes at coors
Zack doesn't have to work because he's made a living off of his "talents" so good for him. He gets to travel around the Country, watching baseball games while most everyone else is stuck at a 9-5 job they probably don't even like. Also, his work does promote the game of baseball so what is so wrong with that!
"Doesn't have to work" is the overstatement of the century. He, like all full-time RU-vidrs, are working! Unlike the rest of us, they are doing something that they love. Well hell, maybe you are too, but I am sure not! I would love to be making documentaries on all sorts of subjects as a career, but unfortunately I am a bit aged out of starting up and devoting all my time to a RU-vid channel, and feel that giving up my career for it may be a bit too much, especially in this economy! But agreed, he does a lot for the game, he does a lot for kids wanting to play the game, but does have flaws like all of us humans do.
@@RyanHorseHelmet you're never too old for a career change if, one it will make you happy, and two you can live comfortably and happily with your financial situation (assuming you'll be making less money). Many career RU-vidrs started making RU-vid content in their spare time because they were passionate about what they were creating, they then gained enough of an audience to make it into a career. If you really want to get into RU-vid and try to make a career of it then try making videos that your passionate about in your spare time, best case scenario you get popular enough to make a career change and worse case scenario you have some fun making videos about something that you're passionate about
I live in Colorado and went to over 15 games there and the there ushers except for one, give a stringent vibe like get off my lawn vibe, not a real fan friendly vibe, like even if the game is winding down and you want to get closer or better seats, it’s a not only a no go, but a HELL NO GO! this is why going to Rockies games is essentially going to the state’s Largest bar. The Colorado Rockies: Baseball’s Purple Nurple!
Shit watching Brewers games people are literally walking around nonstop as well as standing behind the rail where they don't have seats and watch the game whereever we want. I've never had an usher say anything to me. Except if they figure out you are actually in a seat you didn't pay for. It's nice to be honest. Sometimes when I get good seats I'll find someone in my seat and ya just say scram and they go. No big deal to me.
Hample has really let the beauty of “The Kid’s Game” really get into his melon. He behaves like an entitled, petulant child and gets mad when things don’t go his way. Case in point, the Coors incident. I think he takes the hate as “jealousy” but it’s purely because he’s insufferable
A New York 40 something that's been in the same set of mind since he was 9. "Get out of my way, I'm gonna catch that ball cuz he threw it to me, I'm gonna run past everyone to get where I want to be, and if I don't get there and get what I think I'm entitled to I'm gonna use the platform I've built to either make everyone feel sorry for me or make someone else look bad" Having that approach is a bad look no matter what age a person is. For someone over 40 it just screams being entitled and insufferable. You got it 100% on the dot. The guy could do so much better and help grow the game even more but he's just so full of himself he can't get over his self entitlement.
Nobody is jealous of Zack at all lol. That's the problem I have with him, he's so self-centered and acts like he's more important than he really is. People know when they see a douche.
I say good for anybody who has a passion that fulfills them and doesn't hurt other people. He's definitely not hurting anybody... Pretty sure I've seen in his videos where he helps kids get balls while he's out there doing it. Yep, he's a little over the top- but that's what extremely passionate people look like. Zach just happens to be passionate about a peculiar thing... something we view as a remote chance occurrence. Meanwhile, the man has actually turned that into a lifestyle. Imagine being able to guarantee getting a ball... just actually think about that- been to many baseball games and the closest I've come is maybe 3 or 4 rows away. That's over a 40 year span. Anyways, If Zach were passionate about painting or food vlogging or something like that, nobody would think twice. He's just turned a lark into a life. He also brings a great deal of attention to the game from a very different angle. Quite frankly, I think he got completely bullied over ARod's ball. You catch that ball, it's a lottery ticket. Nobody deserves it for free... It's an automatic expensive collectible. If you give it to someone or an organization, either they now have a valuable collectible they will sell at some point, or money is no object to them and then fair compensation shouldn't even be an issue. Whatever... I say good for him.
He’s still a dickhead honestly. He acts like he’s the most important fan in the stands and uses that to get to players directly. He doesn’t actually care about the players, he actively tries to find out how to get their attention to get a simple baseball. Pathetic and childish in my opinion
I always enjoy his videos. He loves baseball and still has the youthful energy that we all once had and wish we still had. He is always hooking the kids up with most of the baseballs he catches. I enjoy watching his adventures as i'll probably never get to visit many of the ballparks he visits each year.
@@DionysusAlS Hample is the kind of guy to mow down a group of kids trying to catch their 1st HR ball, just so he can catch no.3,489 and sell it for $3k online later that same day. Fuck Zack Hample, here's your L, clown
People are mostly jealous of his success. I think the dude is a douche bag and you really have to be a low life to base your life and career around trying to get homerun balls but he's not doing anything wrong and most people are purely jealous. Let him do his thing until he does something bad. He's been doing it a long time and only helped most people from what I've seen.
The hate for a man that catches baseballs is crazy. Literally gives almost every ball to kids except the rare ones. Guy that brings kids to game and all around great for baseball. Shows the in and outs of every stadium. Gives great in depth on everything. He’s literally living every kids dream catching baseball for a living.
He steals their experience to catch it. Grown men need to leave those activities to children or go down and do it with their children. He's just a virgin bullying kids.
I like watching Zack's videos. I think he's pretty chill and he always gives the balls he gets to little kids and always takes photos and signs autographs for kids. He's living his dream and making a living off doing what he loves. And from the videos I have been watching over the last few years, he's certainly not hurting anyone doing it. If you watch the video of the Colorado home run, he wasn't running down a row of seats pushing people over, he was literally going into the walkway. Other fans were climbing over seats and trying hard for the ball. There is another fan literally right next to Zack that ran over with his glove to try and catch it. I don't blame him for getting upset that he'd be asked to stay in his seat and not move or be kicked out. That's a pretty wild rule to enforce at a baseball game in the outfield. Trust me if Zack had ever mowed some kid over or hurt anybody going after a ball, it would be in this video and many others about him. That usher maybe didn't get it, but that isn't a rule and it wasn't a rule being put on any other fans, so yea that's pretty crazy to me.
Have you seen the young kids that flock to him. He gives most balls away to the youngest kids around him. Why so much hate ? He loves what he’s doing and because he’s successful people are hating on him. I think he is great for the game.
Someone much taller needs to follow this man from town to town running back and forth from left to right field and sticking to him like glue for a season snatch every ball coming towards him away from him. Guarantee this man would have a fit about it. In essence he needs to feel what it's like to go to a game have someone who's only objective is to get balls get in his way and see how he likes that experience.
After each catch, toss it to Hample and then... "oh here kid, you can have it". Quite likely a legitimate restraining order situation attempting to do it for a season, though. One game might be enough to get an all caps RU-vid video title from the Zack channel, though.
I have a partial season ticket plan with Rockies at Coors Field some I repeat some of the ushers are hard asses especially in HR territory. Especially the left field seats.
Yep, you hit it on the head. He brings attention to his passion and makes money doing it. He can kinda be annoying but who isn't at some point? Like you said, people are just jealous they don't get to catch baseballs as a career
People don’t like him because he’s entitled. He only has a few more years in this field. It’s mostly teenagers that are ball hawks. Multiple players have made comments about him.
@@Oraanu There comes a time when you tell yourself "There really is no point anymore. Do i really want to take another ball from a kid and dash his dreams of getting one himself? Isn't 13,284 balls enough at this point?" Why can't I control myself? Im worse worse than a golden retriever. I need therapy"
i have to say i didn’t agree with his earlier stuff but now he gives the balls to kids. also people come up to him for autographs. someone who promotes the game is fine with me honestly.
my biggest gripe with Hample is when he teaches kids to lie and basically wear hats and clothes from the opposing team in order to manipulate them into giving them a ball, that shows Zach is a true scumbag if it comes down to it, I am sure players are going to soon catch on and think if a fan is wearing their colors in an opposing ballpark they are probably just trying to manipulate them into giving them a ball and they will stop throwing them a ball
When you're running the entire stadium and positioning yourself in the hitters hotspots, you're blatantly breaking stadium rules on better positioning. Better positioning doesn't just refer to viewing of the ballgame but all activities that come with the game including collecting fouls and HRs. I don't care for his antics, but it doesn't bother me either.
@@diddlez2 I don't care for it, but I wouldn't go snitching to the usher. It is what it is. Whether he gets in trouble or not, it wouldnt effect my sleep, don't act like you know me. Lol And you cannot go to other seats and sections of the field you haven't paid for is indeed a rule. I used to get busted all the time at Dodger and Angel Stadiums for jumping sections. Even being thrown out in Anaheim for doing so. If you have a nosebleed ticket and get caught jumping sections to get down behind the dugout, best believe they're making you go back up or throwing you out.
I like a lot of what Zack does for the game, but I draw the line when he complains about stadium employees enforcing rules, no matter how innocuous it may seem. That is horrible, because those people are working and trying to keep their jobs. It is not their job to decide when rules are enforced. Also, as a veteran, I resent him even trying to get into a game reserved for service members and their families. That game was for people who sacrifice, and he had ZERO business there.
The thing I’ve noticed is when I go to games. Yes I usually get a ball and don’t go for any more. But I’ve seen young kids like 10 years old get 5 and keep wanting to get baseballs. Even go as far as asking other people if they can have it when they already have 3 in their hand. It’s good for the sport of baseball to get kids involved, but I think they don’t know what sharing means.
@@BrianYochem duh, they're children. They dont know better. As a 40yo you should have the emotional maturity to realize that, but it's clear you've been stunted. Get it together, old man.
I keep reading hes great for baseball, getting younger fans into the game...oh really? or is he training hundreds of kids who are most of his subscribers, how to be grown ass children and act entitled at the games they dont get their way? I openly advocate tripping this clown running thru stadiums.
I met Zack at a White Sox game last year (2021), and he was super friendly. The dude literally spent half the game sitting with a group of kids who recognized him, and he was giving them baseballs he got throughout the day. He has his thing with getting baseballs, but it's not like the dude becomes an asshole if he doesn't get one. He has and will gladly give away all the balls he gets at a game to kids if they ask him, he doesn't steal anything, nor does he invade anybody's personal space. I think everyone has had a bad expeirence once or twice at a game where someone was an asshole. Dude steals a ball from a kid, or knocks over someone's 15$ beer trying to get a ball. Fans who hate Zack just associate their bad experiences and assume he's just like those ass holes. Zack isn't like that from my personal experience having sat in the same section as him for most of a game before.
