Supprisingly very true. I used to find it boring and annoying honestly. But as I grew older and tried learning classical instruments I figured out how beautiful our culture really is.

I don't think it's even a flute! At first I thought kaval, but I really don't know. It seems to have an open to end, which kind of breaks my understanding of how flutes work.
To play this you have to learn to play long notes , murki , meend , gamak, khatka , komal swaras voice modulation and experience of around 10 years and taans also
I play Tabla. I listened this 100 times and now I can play Tabla with this. But not as Ustad Zhakir Hussain...He is just great...And Rakesh Chourasia🙏🙏🙏

Guru Raj the word pandit is not appropriate for musicians of any instrument of music. the pandit is Hindu word and ustrda is Muslim word .But according to me ustrad is right word for excerpt in any instrument .the singer of classical song we say pandit but Muslim say ustrad but right word is ustrad .the word pandit is for intellectual person of any subject .But we are giving to pandit to instrument except and singer except .that is not 100 percentage correct . we have to file a case in Supreme Court that pandit word should not used in any instrument of music except and singer also .the ustad is right word .

I am former Pakistani, now i live in Australia i use to listen to ild Pakistani table and its been almost 2 years i listen to this magical flute and tabla its like my meds whenever i need calmness or to feel relax feel happy i listen to this at work or at home ... I Love Rakesh ji and Zakir bhai, Rakesh bhai a lot of respect as your magical flute is out of this world ....

When i was 8 , there was an advertisement running on channel "WAAH TAAJ" ... i always laughed at zakir sir and used say " aata jata hoga nahi bas tabla lekar taaj mahal par baith gaye".... Now i realized at the age of 25 he is a living legend...
I am visharad poorna in tabla and i can easily play this but still i just cant make it sound so pure lile ustad Zakir Hussain ji. He's just the best there ever was and the skill he depicted was so beautiful. May Lord keep on blessing him.

@@anybody9059 well those are basically the politicians, especially BJP and it's supporters who force a narrative of "Hindutwa" and that those are the only people worth focusing on, therefore lowering the apparent importance of muslims, ultimately causing a clash in interests in order to lure them to vote as they potray themselves to be the last hope for hindus/muslims. They deliberately pull out past issues that have a hindu-muslim clash and still do nothing in the direction of solving it. For example the Ayodhya Ram Mandir, the Sunni board and Muslim Union both have agreed to the court rulings and have no problems with the build of the ram temple but BJP on the other hand makes bogus remarks of the muslims not wanting the build to happen, blatantly lying about the actual facts. This is a religious trump card for them which they use only at the times of elections. If you are vigilant enough then you will see that the buzz for the ram temple has died down but then it will be forcibly fired up again near the time of the national elections. This is one of the many times they have used religion as a tool for their devide and rule strategy, more accurate, devide and earn votes strategy. I'm not being superficial. I'm being logical. It is naturally a probability that you may not agree to what I say and perhaps not like it either, but truth doesn't care about being liked or not. Denying it won't change it. If you are observant and unbiased, then you would have noticed it. Anyways, the prediction I made will stand true nonetheless.

I like listening to classical music every morning with a cup of chai in my garden. Nothing can beat positivity this music brings in you in mrng. Thanks to my family to introduce me to the real music from early life. My grandfather introduced me to Urdu and Hindi poetry, my father and uncles introduced me to gazals and qawwalis. Thanks to my mother I developed a liking for folk music. I feel sorry for people listening to temporarily hit musics that fades away with time, haryanvi/punjabi remixes of every song with no sense and logic.
Flute is played through breath of the merciful , it is as if you are giving your life force and making it speak, music is alive just as we are , flute is straight from the Divine
काश हनी सिंह को सुनने वाली पीढ़ी ये सुन पाती तो उन्हें संगीत और शोर का अन्तर समझ आता। Edit-it's really amazing to know that new generation also listen such kind of music.. BTW I'm too from new generation..

When I was watching & listening to this jugalbandi, I could only think of Krishna, the Hindu God, merrily playing away at the riverside of Jamuna and all his friends and several cute animals playing around him. That's the image it conjures for me. This jugalbandi has the sweet playful innocence of childhood.
