Im 46..i grew up listening to Sabbath through my Dad....he is 72 now..i sent him this link..this was his reply......Tony Ravenscroft 4:17 AM (9 hours ago) to me HI mate, If you couldn't get the original Black Sabbath, this is probably the next best substitute. Thought that the drummer ought to have a few lessons with Bill Ward re how to play the drum part, likewise the bassist should go and see Geezer, but Zakk Wylde does a good job of imitating Ozzy, and of course his guitar playing is superb. For me, no-one will ever come near to Tony Iommi when it comes to heavy rock guitar playing, but this lad is probably a close second. :-) Thanks for sending the clip mate,

There’s no one that comes close to his brutal playing. I live in New Jersey and watched him a lot at Silverton Music when he worked there. Even back then at 17/18, he was brutal. Almost everytime I walked in that music store he was sitting on a Marshall combo rippin it up with an LP. He is the most incredible player I ever heard!

Some band members I've never seen. This song is kick ass. Done beautifully. Has he sung this song before. A thousand times. In this exact manner? I've never seen it. Reminds me of no more tears 2000 from BLS. So it is new. Yes. Do I hate everything about the intent of that comment. Oh I sure do. Ele ficou puto depois que quebraram a guitarra dele num show de Ozzy no RJ. Não sei se veio depois disso. Na verdade eu acho que ele já tava puto antes mesmo de jogar a guitarra, tendo inclusive jogado a guitarra pra atingir alguém que deveria estar tirando onda na platéia ou coisa assim. Dá uma procurada por vídeos pela net, é fácil de achar.

Ele já veio inúmeras vezes depois disso! Solo, com o Black Label, acústico.... Agora em novembro ele retorna justamente trazendo este novo projeto, o Zakk Sabbath!

I usually don't enjoy cover songs as I can easily tell the difference. While there were differences here, the performance was outstanding and truly enjoyable. Thank you.

OMG! This took me back to Germany in the late 60's. I was weened on 'Black Sabbath' and 'Uriah Heap'. I also have a song I've written as a tribute to all the 'Dick Cheney's' and various other war mongering members of the 'Military Industrial Complex'. RIP to all those who didn't survive.

Yes... I grew up on this stuff. Sabbath being my thing..this version is great and it takes nothing away from the original. But injects some new life into it. And at the same time you appreciate the epic lyrics and wonderful composition and pacing of the original. Simple yet dramatic everything in a song about such a dark subject you could ask for. Brilliant version Zakk

Look at the hands on this man. I remember years ago, reading his lessons in Guitar Player mag. This man has done some serious practicing in his life. His finger tips are likely shaped like little hammerheads. I love the comment below about Thor.
