Watch Zakk Wylde break down "Parade of the Dead," the single from Black Label Society's latest CD, 'Order of the Black' in this exclusive Guitar World video lesson! This exclusive video lesson continues only at guitarworld.com
but that's pretty much enough :D is hard to learn from shows and lives because the camera doesn't focus on him, but in the show itself... so this kind of "lesson" is pretty much perfect XD
stare in awe all future guitarist. Zakk sets the standard of annihilation of the guitar. Makes me want to quit playing all though I won't. Man I would love to play this song in it's entirety.
i m a great fan of zakk an bls,but i would never quit guitarplayng, its a passion of mine, and even if he is thousand times faster than me,i see it as a challenge3 amen
@polloramirez i dont know if im talking about the same thing but when i see him pull back on the neck its because he gives it the dive bomb sound effect.
@ArchieIsted actually, yes it does. the title is "Zakk Wylde "Parade of the Dead" Guitar Lesson (Part 1)". but then again, in the description bar it says "This exclusive video lesson continues only at guitarworld (dot) com".
@rosegardeninc there are other videos you can find of this lesson on youtube, he does teach. its just guitar world showing him playing the song naming it a "lesson".
ok, im tired of all these "this isnt a lesson" comments. Theyre always the first part of a full guitarworld lesson! its not the whole thing. the rest is on their website, as far as i know.
It's amazing the people that comment on here trying to rip on zakk are just losers who sit in there room on the computer all day who think they know everything... I don't see any of you out there trying to make something out of yourself, in a hundred years nobody will remember you, but zakk and his music will be remembered. Rock on mr.wylde!!
@polloramirez yes when you push it forward it lowers the note and when you pull back on the neck it makes the note higher. as far as i know not many guitar players pull back on the neck because it harder to do then pushing forward. hope this helps
he's been visiting hospital from time to time for his Blood Clot stuff since 09. I believe that's the reason he got some extra weight. i have no doubt that he'll get back in his super cool shape soon.
@polloramirez yes it is true. if you push to hard it will brake. for instance i remember slash saying that he did that and broke the neck and it hit him in the mouth and put a hole in his lip.
Zakk Wylde is in a perfect guitaristic shape more than ever. As he quit drinking he has technically improved a lot. Now he seems more akin to a Paul Gilbert than to a, let's say, Frank Marino, as he'd been before.
@CreepingMetalDeath and why is he not allowed have it on his guitar? He and dime were very close so that may be just something that he can carry on his guitar and remember of him every time he looks at it.
