Zakk's most underrated riffs were EVERY riff he played the night he played in his favorite band of all-time, The Allman Brothers Band! Should be called The Allman Brothers Band - Zakk Goes Wylde! At one point, the drummer Butch had to tell Zakk to "Calm the F down! Relax!" and Zakk said "I can't! This is my favorite band ever!" and Butch said "I know! It's mine, too! Now relax!" 🤣
This was the first thing of Zakk Wylde's that I learned about 28 years ago. It's absolutely killer and so fun to play. I still find myself playing it when I'm noodling.
IMO Zakk's best riffs ever are the main riffs from Losin Your Mind, Toe'n the Line, and Troubled Wine, all from the Pride & Glory album. I've been on a P&G kick lately, I have one about every 6 months or so. Some people have an annual Minecraft phase, I have an annual pride & Glory phase
Another great video for another legend, loving these videos Robert. Lately i've been listening back to early Ozzy/Zakk Wylde albums again, there are so many amazing playing in those albums and "Bloodbath In Paradise" riff and "Devil's Daughter" solo are the ones that caught my attention the most. Really underrated songs. Zakk Wylde's sound was fierce on those early albums.
This album was full of killer riffs and leads and gets lost in the shuffle when people talk about Ozzy. You are also right, the palm muted part during the pre-chorus after this is really just the best.
Wow, that one really takes me back. You fricken nailed it dude. Your sound is incredible on this lesson and that are your playing is sweet. I don't think I seen it before. Great job!
Fantastic video, one of my favorite albums of all time. Just something about the vocals, and all the instruments just worked so well pulling off a great sound!
Thinks again for another quick lesson . I will say I don't watch your videos the most but for just quick lessons you are my go to guy . I just wish I wouldn't have bought one of those sgx2000's . The preamp sucks but I have lots of other toys so it's all groovey brother
Demon Alcohol is one of his best most underrated works, the whole damn song. Devil's Daughter and all of No Rest for that matter is great, I feel he was a few years ahead of the curve with that album
I used to love playing this riff! I learned it by ear. I love Miracle Man as well! Sidenote: I wasn't too far off learning it by ear! Could you please show Miracle Man?
The riff and solo from the song gets me though has been playing wenever i need it since the day the album came out and i played it for the first time 20 years later still love tht song and i think its underrated no one ever brings it up and his version of WAR PIGS N.I.B and the WIZARD tony iommi may have pioneered those songs but ZAKK PERFECTED THEM
As soon as I heard you start playing I got so excited and instantly agreed. I think one of Zakk's most underrated riffs is Lowdown off of Sonic Brew. Such a great song.
I've not been keeping up with your channel and I've missed a lot. 1.I want to check out your guitar course. 2.what badass guitar are you playing in this Zac Wylde riff video? I think last year I was trying to buy your course for 1/2 cost but I had trouble with payment options.I have since gotten familiar with Google or FB pay( as soon as I am out of FB jail😡)🎸 👍
Oh man pretty much every other video I posted has an original piece of music that I write. Here's one ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dU3zgGefiSE.html
Love love love ZW, but have to admit that for some reason I haven't followed his projects outside Ozzy O. This 1st song is such a blast blatant "homage" to Randy...maybe too much so. I played that same dark RR little riff when trying to write something, bit immediately said "Stop!!! That's owned by Randy!!!"
