The trip to the newest Cracow's top water attraction at Zakrzówek - the artificially created lake in the area of the old, abandoned limestone mine. It's been known for years, it was just used illegaly and gained bad reputation due to numerous cases of drowning. It's all different now as the Cracow authorities renovated the whole area and will launch the swimming pools and the entire park in 2023.
The place is amazing. The pools and the piers are all afloat and fresh water supply is all the time. Every pool has another depth and there are ones for kids and ones for good swimmers. The maximum capacity is 600 people and the access to the pools will be secured by gates. Swimmers will be also watched by lifeguards. The area around is a vast park with many paths, benches and view points. You can climb the Twardowski Rocks and see Wawel the castle. You can find many view points on the lake itself. There are toilets, changing rooms, bicycle lots and food trucks located by the entry to the pools. You can leave your car by the Norymberska street or park at one of the shopping centers nearby. It's fun and beautiful and everything looks so exotic too! Worth visiting!
