I remember when i razo lami realesed impande someone said its a pity la emzansi they dont have awards for poetry and literature. He said zakwe is on of the greatest lyricists, greatest poets and greatest literary artist. He said this guy deserves to be studied...namanje ngisavuma. So bhuda thatha isihlalo sakho.
The problem is not with the rappers e South Africa. We got Massive talent and Durban is at the forefront of that. The problem is the fans. E South Africa I Hip Hop isanoku nyukunywa like it's music from overseas. And the fans keeps moving the goal post, they say we want real rap, You give them lyrical Gods like Zakwe and Stogie T, yet they don't buy the music the way It should be brought because of how great the music is. What I am saying is, How top notch the music is by these aforementioned artists is not reflected on sales. Then then the fans say nah we want commercial sounding rappers, then u get the blackie and the Nasty's of this world (Not sleeping on Nasty's pen) but then the fans says nah they sound too American. The problem is the fans bra. Zakwe and Stogie should be the top tier selling artists if we want real rap to succeed as they are the pinnacle of that, touch line is coming, I see him.
