Brings back some memories of my youth. I left Zambia when I was 13 to move to Australia. I am now 48 and before I leave this earth I promise myself to return to visit my birth place Lusaka and my country Zambia. I remember the big roundabout at the end of Cairo road driving straight threw it and being dropped off at a BP servo or Shell not sure 100% but then being picked up by the bus to go to boarding school. Before I came to Australia a spent a few years at Nkhwazi Primary School. Thank you for your video.

Very nostalgic. Left Lusaka for Ghana some 28 years ago but this video just brought back memories of the good old days in Kabulonga girls area when we walked to school at woodlands primary and the games we played along the way especially at under the trees the leopards hill chindo road intersection. Please try and post video in the Kabulonga Schools if it allowed cos I would like to see how much the places has changed and don't forget our flat was just Infront of the football field at Kabulonga girls. Thanks brother for your video which I’ve enjoyed although I didn’t enjoy seeing the litter on Kafue road. Whoever had dropped the papers should have picked them up. I don’t like seeing youths or women selling on the roads. Good that the shanty Kalingalinga is slowly changing. We need all open drainages to be made into pedestrian walkways & we also need more street or road mark paintings.
Thanks for the feedback @kingslj 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼!! I think that area of the CBD was particularly dirty because I shot the footage on a sunday and Lusaka City Council cleans the streets on weekdays. Thus being said, you're right, we have alot to do culturally to make sure the litter doesn't end up there in the first place.👍🏼
@@chisanga_manjoniYou’re welcome. LCC should clean or contract groups who should be cleaning the roads or streets daily & especially at night with Road & Street Sweepers Machines or Vehicles
The city council should see to it that all the high ways or busy roads should have over bridge crossing for pedestrians eg when coming from town centre going to city market ,when crossing the great north at Heroes Stadium to mandevu it's quiet dangerous and a lot of people are been bashed by the speeding vehicles and I don't know if the authorities of city council are aware?
Yeah very true @kennedychanda👍🏽. The only challenge is usually people don't bother to use the facilities afterward and still opt to cross dangerously, case in point Mississi bridge crossing.
