I'm still listening to the king PK Chisala "Abana bandi bakanjipaya"....sunsha bokosi... Common Man is my all Time greatest song ever!! My father Proff Desai used to sing this song and was his campaign song when he stood for MP in Kabwe and lost to his good friend Ba Wilfred Wonani who used to come every other night to spend time in the evening with dad.... And both of them were chain smokers and the whole house was a chimney.... Oh how I miss those days... I know they are both in heaven smoking and laughing away🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Good point. I remember in 1987, I watched Amayenge perform for KK at UNZA. I was blown away by the skill of the band members. Today's musicians aren't serious. They should learn real instruments, not that computer crap.

I remember those days when things were ok when dad used to work at open pit mine nchanga mine in 70's i use to listen to this music nice music from pk chishala ❤.
We are able to do this music now. But the creativity with tools and resources available to them at that time is something else. My personal favorite is nali nomunandi.
I once asked to know who the guy was that played bass guitar on PK’s songs, like Ba Pastor, Church Elder, We Mwana Waliwama, Nkomba Mkowa. Absolutely brilliant bass riffs! If l had the money, l would sponsor someone to re do these songs on more modern recording instruments. We need to preserve and propagate these sounds!
