It is going to be between Ohio State and Clemson. I recently read an article by 247 sports that he did an interview and said that he truly wants to go to Ohio State however it says in the article that the factor of being close to home is what would put him at clemson. It's gonna be between OSU and UGA. He really does want to go to OSU, from multiple people close to him, but his mom means everything to him and she's pro UGA. I'd love to see him come to OSU, but I think he's gonna be a Dawg.
I know Georgia is the favorite to land him, but damn imagine him in Clemson's recruiting class with Trevor Lawrence and Xavier Thomas, that team would win multiple national championships, they would be unstoppable!
You rarley see that type of balance, power and speed in someone that young; its usually something that is built up freshman year in college spring ball. If he can get his knees up higher for more power with each step he will be pretty good college player.
This kid is good. I played and recruited major college football players. He has all the tools to be a factor at the next level. He runs through, over, and around the opposing players. He doesn't look that fast, just on initial look. He appears like he may be heavy legged. But, I rarely see him get caught from behind. He destroys angles. DBs think they got him and then they don't. He shows show shake, can make a guy miss. The art of stiff arm is gone in college football. This dude is tossing kids around like rag dolls. Maybe it the competition. Time will tell. I can say at first glance, he is someone I may have to get the SEC package for in a year or two to see what has become of him.

james townsend name one college coach that looks at Nike sparq rating? They don't. He is a 3 star on 247. He is a 2 star in rivals. And scout has him at a 3 star. Those are the only three ratings anyone follows. 247 has him #46 in the country, scout has him #86 Nike sparq comes from a combine. Doesn't say a thing about what you can do between the whistles. You Lee marching to your own tune and assume the three major rating agencies are all wrong. How many offers does he have from teams that were in the bcs playoffs last year? Zero. Zamir has offers from all of them as a sophomore....had Ohio state offer as a freshman. So, are the schools wrong too. If "he should be rated #1" they would offer him a scholarship. If you look around and you feel everyone is wrong but you, you're probably wrong.
many players don't have a sparq rating because it requires them to attend a certain combine that all dotn attend, so that makes it irrelevant. Yeah, he's actually a 4.35. Zamir is a 10.58 100m as a sophomore he finished 6th in the 100 meters state finals. That was in 2016. Demarcus best time ever in 2016 was 11.2, but averaged around 11.40. so yeah zamir is faster.
^^^ what he said. Does Demarcus have offers from Ohio state, Alabama, or clemson? These three team played in the bcs playoffs both of the last two years.
He reminds me a little of Lattimore who went to South Carolina. Which just says his announcement doesn't mean certain great things for him or his school of choice. Some are acting like this is going to make or break the 3 or 4 years he's at their school. I certainly hope he does well, just saying that nothing is guaranteed and unfortunately, shit happens. I think y'all might want to look at DeMarcus Townsend Nike Sparq rating lol Google it and he is 208 pounds now not 192 and he is 6 foot now... We would see who's better in college
Am I the only one that isnt all that impressive with most of these highlights? Sure, he has the build, and decent vision but about 90% of these plays he doesnt even get touched by a defender and if he does, it's well into the secondary where he can just cut or stiff arm a much smaller defender to break free. He looks good dont get me wrong, but to be the #1 RB in this class.. idk. Must be a weak class
Not sure the highlights you're watching, he gets "touched" by defenders in over 50% of the clips. He is playing 4A football in North Carolina, which is the highest classification. He played 3 top 10 teams. What else is he supposed to do? Does he need to recruit bigger defenders for the competition? I guess some of the recruiting gurus are crazy. Mike Farrell has been around a while "He’s one of the top five or six running backs I’ve scouted in my career." I think we will go with his assessment.
I'm just basing my opinion on this highlight reel. If you read a little closer into what I said I did say he looks good... just not impressive with most of these highlights.. I go back and look at the highlight reel for D'Andre Swift from 2017 recruiting class and that's a back I can get behind..based on the highlight reel.
Heck, Ive been watching Damien Pierce out of Bainbridge HS near Atlanta and that kid looks legit to me! Now I will say I have been watching some game film on Zamir and that is far more impressive than these 90 yard untouched TD runs hes making on these highlight reels.

Eric Collins Umm no, I'm a buckeye fan and Clemson and Georgia are his top 2, then probably followed by Ohio state and Alabama. If any recruit tells the media that Ohio state is their dream school, their not going there.
