I love how they introduce Zane as "the seer with the sixth sense" and then proceeds to like never use the sixth sense again outside of the pilot and a couple of vision dreams lmao.
No its that he has an estimated guess about things and thats because hes a robot/android. Keep in mind during the pilot and some episodes of season 1, no one knew Zane was a robot/android, not even Zane. Therefore when u see him as human it's fair to guess hes a person with six sense. However when you see him as a robot you automatically know his knowledge comes from who/what he is
Early Zane: kind, confident, competent, a little confused but he’s got the spirit Later Zane: still all those things, but now he just wants to be in a silly goofy mood
I think the reason why Zane’s neurodivergent coding works even though he’s a robot is 1: this show implies super advanced robots are basically human in universe. 2: after another robot (pixel) is introduced, he does stuff that confuses even her, so his quirky personality is less of a robot thing and more of a Zane thing 😂
Every autistic kid watching this show and kinning Zane makes me so happy. He is the rep we need even if he's made of metal and also a little square man
@@nightcoresubliminals2038 DAMN IT!! I WAS DOING SO WELL!! First it was pidge, then Donnie, now Zane. WHY DO I HAVE TO KIN ALL OF THE CHARACTERS THAT AUTISTIC PEOPLE RELATE TO- 😭😭
i really saw my own comment a year later and not only laughed at it but i liked my own comment as well. man i suck. the likes are even at 69 now. oh thats horrible
Zane: I am a hardboiled detective looking for clues and it always starts with a dame walking into my office. Pixal: Babe pleas you are embarresing yourself and me. Zane: Her words where cold by I could sense a loving warmth for my obvious skill and charisma.
Jay: *confused* Okay...glad he got that out of his system. Zane: *awkwardly fidgeting* Wouldn't you not feel like this if you were a nindroid as well? Kai: *facepalming* Oh brother.....
@@Thenameless_kitten These are the ones I know Kai Smith Jay Walker (nee Gordon) Zane Julien Coleman “Cole” Brookstone Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon Nya Walker (nee Smith) Skylor Chen
You know I'm half just realizing how Zane was from back then He took things sirously and was kinda weird (had a entity crises) and now still kinda the same only a little more sassy i feel like
Kai: tell us how you stumble upon Lloyd's secret base? Zane: I followed a bird Jay: why did you follow a bird? Zane:because it danced Jay: oh was it a cuckoo bird?🤣😂🤣😂
2:14 Zane: I have butterflies in my stomach. Jay: Oh come on thats just nerves. Zane: No i really do have butterflies. ( Literally Releases butterflies out of his stomach ) Jay: Okay ah..glad he got that out of his system.
I've always loved Zane, every since he bought season 1 on disk for me. He's always represented me in a way, I'm on the autism spectrum... diagnosed at 5 (granted high functioning. I've always been bad at expressing my feelings and often come off uncaring...sometimes brutally honest. There are a plethora of times jokes have flown over my head or sarcasm is my kryptonite in conversation. But there are a lot of things that I excel in that other people have even expressed jealousy of...made me feel special to be represented in a way.❤️
I knew someone who hated Zane for being so autism-relatable and then being a robot, but I disagree very hard. I'm autistic asw and Zane was the positive representation I needed when I was eight and confused. He proved to a whole heap of ASD kids that we can be different while still being a valuable part of the group
As a kid, I never actually liked Zane because of how serious he was in the pilot episodes and the first few episodes of season 1. But his character development went through the roof and the fact about him being a nindroid, I just find him about more interesting than Jay throughout the series💀ofc, every ninja has their own interesting perks. Zane is just....him being Zane, that's what interesting about him.
I always loved Zane, even when he was very serious and sensible. I always liked that part of him. But I do agree I definitely find him more interesting than Jay throughout the series. Tbh Jay has always been my least favourite ninja while Zane has always been my favourite and still is.
@@breakfastsquad9871 it's a censor for some countries so kids won't repeat that. In my country it was on the tv and we never saw #ZaneWithDACheese sadly
Zane is my Fave Ninja I love him also Jay in I think one of the noncannon shorts was being a tad sadistic like its amoral to control someone than say we were having fun
Exactly, I didn't like the way Jay controlled Zane like that not even taking into regard how he felt just for instant gratification. Tbh Jay has always been my least favourite ninja and he can be a bit of a major jerk at times while Zane will always remain my favourite and is the smart, peaceful and mature one.
@@moonlitm3285 agreed and this is also twisted like controlling anyone is not kid friendly but its Zane so his fine Poor Zane and Jays just a child more so than Lloyd how dose a legit kid out mature Jay (I know Lloyd was aged up but still )
@@master-waterfall I completely agree with everything you said, I'm glad I've seen others who felt the same way. Jay really annoyed me in that scene, A atleast Zane froze him at the end and he had some sort of comeuppance.
@@moonlitm3285 then used him as a chair and same as that's too far in my book Yeah let Zane get beat up more sure fine but not this still I feel bad for Zane
Zane was my favourite of all of Ninjago's characters as a kid. and i found him to be very relatable somehow, being often seen as the weird kid, and having a lot of trouble socialising and fitting in. it was not until i started looking up autism last week and my psychiatrist telling me that i seem to have both ADHD (which was why i originally went to see the psychiatrist) and ASD today, that i realised "hey wait a minute. is Zane autisitc???"
I don’t know if anyone feels the same and I highly doubt that the writers intended this but, Zane comes off very autistic coded, sure the nindroid part may put off a few since non human autistic characters are frowned upon but when we see his personality contrasting against pixels more logical dialogue he just absolutely comes off that way to me. I loved him as a kid and him realizing he was a nindroid in the first season reminded me heavily of how when I found out I was on the spectrum things that didn’t make sense before just did! I’m so glad his friends don’t treat him too harshly for acting different. After all “What is strange, one who is different? Or one who is different from you?”
That’s actually a very popular take in the fandom as far as I know. This wasn’t intentional move on the writers’ part, but I feel like it’s definitely there. I’m just glad that they made him a very caring and selfless character since there are a lot of nasty stereotypes saying that all autistic people are stoic and stuff
