NL placing the mines assuming the ball travels flat with no rotation :(

Unless the ball hits something, there is no rotation. The mines have no weight and they apply force through the center of the ball.

Don't take this the wrong way NL because it's meant as a compliment. I love that you allow yourself to not play a game perfectly. Sometimes it's hard for me to watch because I'm backseat gaming. But this attitude of not allowing myself to "play" a game is also what ruins a lot of games for me. Whilst you seem to be enjoying yourself immensely. I think I'll watch more of your vids to see if I can learn from your attitude.
