Most of Zappa's guitar solos were ad lib. Always impressive. Each set of measures were created differently. Most with a climax and set up ending. A true master of the guitar.
For those who don't know, it's two solos edited together... A solo from Yo Mama from what I think is the '77 tour and then it cuts at 4:47 to a Drowning Witch solo from what I think is the '82 tour.
@@joaquimdossantos663 he’s referring to the song, Drowning Witch, not the album. This particular solo is titled “St. Etienne” on Jazz from Hell and it comes from the second solo in Drowning Witch.
Actually, at 06:28 it figures out to be "BUT WHO WAS FULCANELLY" From the "Guitar" album. Check it out... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jf4-Pg_wR40.html
Jesus!!! What a fucking amazing work of art here!!! Should be shown at an FZ anniversary or something!!! A great tribute to Frank, Mr Brick - was this all really one solo? Yo Mama meets St Etienne...and absolutely loved the vid. Respect!
awesome, this song is on "one shot deal", highly recommended, it also has ocaam's razor (watch that video too, type that on the search bar)... incredible solos
@@seanbrennan5192it’s a nice one, but for me his best solos are his opening solos from live concerts… usually treacherous cretins or Persona non Grata. Check out persona non grata live in Brest, France. It’s out of this world.
