Completely agree! I was watching Anne: Princess Royal at 70, & they interviewed Zara & Peter. The way both children, but especially Zara, talk about their mother, is beautiful. She just beams with pride & admiration, when she talks about all of her mother's accomplishments & her hardworking nature. The siblings tight, close-knit bond, is another nod to what a great job Princess Anne did as a mother.

She is not a princess - from what I have read, Princess Anne didn't want her children titled as prince or princess.

The rags put her through it when she was younger, but they've let up a bit, as of late. She wasn't doing anything crazy, just living her life, but the gossip rags will do what they do.

Lately I keep hearing of the many times the senior royals have declined or refused titles for their children, yet if one listens carefully, one hears that it wasn't their decision. It was protocol that the children of senior royals would not have the HRH title.

@@kathleenmckenzie6261 except that had Her Majesty bestowed a title on her father upon her parents marriage, she would indeed have been given a title, as would have her brother, Peter, should Princess Anne had wished that they would receive one from Her Majesty as well also.

You missed the point, which was unfortunately repeated too many times for human tolerance….Zara is not a member of the royal family in the way Anne is, so she can’t simply start taking over her mother’s job for her! _She’s got no royal title, and she has gone on record too many times to count to say she doesn’t want one. Besides, I’ve seen no desire on Anne’s part to have _anybody_ lighten her load for her, nor has Zara ever said she would want to do that.

You know it is actually enjoyable to see something like this without the negativity from those who can’t move forward. Anne actually understood Harry and his reasoning for stepping down. Despite the messes their parents are, Beatrice and Eugenie seem to have turned out to be lovely and grounded (or as grounded as one can be in that family) young ladies.

They seem like perfectly pleasant young ladies, particularly considering their utterly humiliating parents. But Zara has that certain something.... definite star quality. Both she and her mother command respect whereas the York girls...not quite so much.

Why must some people leave a nice comment and then ruin it. Everyone is different. Why always make it into a competition or popularity contest.

He never said he to step down from serving the country. My goodness, he saw active duty in the military. Once he saw what the Firm was doing to the mental health of his wife along with the tabloids and not getting ANY support, he did what any man would do to protect his family. He didn't quit, he needed to step back. Remember he understood what his wife was experiencing because it happened to his mother. We need to stop this hate for the Sussex's and hear their side of the story...it makes things more clear. Had they been given the support they needed, they would have stayed and would've served the nation and ESPECIALLY the Commonwealth well. The Queen knows this.

@@charlesschap9160 I agree with you Charles Schap, Harry did all those things and I have great sympathy for them both. However, his Mother endured much more and for a lot longer. If it hadn't been for the tabloid press and their cohorts the paparazzi she would still be alive today. I don't think Harry and Meghan really gave it a chance. If Meghan is this strong woman that everyone says she is, why didn't she and Harry push harder for help? I also agree if they had been given the support they needed they would have been great ambassadors for this country, both here at home and in the Commonwealth. Such a sad loss for us all.

Meghan is so childlish, you can clearly see, she got married with Harry as he is prince (I believe she loves him, but the prince factor was definitely there when she said yes to him). Worst is Meghan using racist card to cause regret from people - which is the ugliest thing... Instead of asking her husband about King George V's law (it would explain to her everything), she claims Archie is not a prince due to his race. She is so ridiculous. Meghan has light skin, I even didn't know she is mixed race before I read it.. Everyone knew the baby will have light skin so when she said 'first baby in the monarch with skin colour', I had to laugh - Archie is exactly the same like his father except his eyes, even his skin colour. If you put him next to other great grandchildren of the Queen, you cannot say, which one has mixed race mom.. Furthermore, little Archie lived here for 7 months, so why is she even crying? Harry and Meghan stepped back from royal duties, moved to different country, cried for quiet and private life but now selling stories for media for money, have not been in the UK for 1.5year so would be funny to see Archie with title... especially how many royals here in the UK has no title, best examples are Zara, Peter and their family.

I have a very long opinion: Meghan was crying for prince title for her son, claiming he didn't get it due to his race. I don't know if she just doesn't understand/doesn't want to understand or just no one explained to her (what is Harry's fault then), but Archie is not a prince due to King George V's law, as Archie (same as Princess Eugenie's baby, August) is the great grandson of the Queen and he will never be King. He can get title after Charles will be monarch, but after this childlish behaviour, stepping back from royal duties, moving to different country and not visiting UK for almost 1.5 year now, throwing trash to family, cutting all bonds with family members (not just Harry but Meghan family's too), selling stories for media for money.. well I don't think so he ever will be prince. I had a feeling she just wanted to get married with a prince, to get title... it seems to me title means a lot to her - more than to Harry, weird. Especially that little Archie lived here for 7 months, so why is she even crying? Zara and Peter would have more right to cry, but they know title is not so important, main thing is: if you are royal, you have do royal duties, you have to be unselfish, understand protocol, accept you are not always in the middle of the attention (especially if you are not the direct heir line of the throne), but Meghan just not able to do that. To be royal is not just about title, you have to work hard and have to be humble. It's Harry's fault too: they got married in less than 2 years, after they ever met, he didn't have time to explain her everything. She said many lies or silly things in Oprah interview, that's why media ''broke it to pieces'". She said she didn't hear about the royal family before - which is impossible. It is the most famous family in the world, everyone heard about them. She is always been a fan of Diana, she was pictured in front of Buckingham Palace at age 15, she knew Princess Eugenie before she first ever met with Harry, she used to have a blog, where she wrote about Kate and Prince William's wedding, how lucky Kate was, she wanted to be a princess too. So she definitely knew a lot about the royals. She said they tied a knot secretly 3 days before their wedding - the bishop denied it. In the UK you cannot get married anyway without 2 witnesses- so not true either. She said how media treated her differently from Kate: she forgot how media abused and harassed Kate for 7 years (2004-2011) before her wedding with Prince William. William asked media many times to leave his girlfriend alone and she suffered a lot - but never complained. She thinks her treatment was worst.. should ask Kate how she felt those times first. She also had different memories about Archie's skin colour thing, first she said there were several conversations in the palace when she was pregnant then changed it, saying it was private conversations with Harry and the family member, then Harry changed it was one in the beginning of their relationship - which could be a misunderstanding too. As they didn't reveal the name, people will call racist all the royals, I don't know why it is good for Harry... for Harry who used to have this racist Nazi uniform scandal... had more racist scandal than the whole royals together. (He is not racist, he had just scandal). Also needs to mention that Meghan has light skin, I even didn't know she is mixed race before I read it. Archie is exactly the same like his father except his eyes, even his skin colour. Everyone knew the baby will have light skin so I don't think so it was ever a subject. Other thing makes me sad, they compare her to Diana. Diana was an innocent, naive 19-year old girl, lived quiet and private life at the time of her engagement to Prince Charles. A year later they got married and at the age 21 she became a mom. Within 2 years, she was the Princess of Wales with royal duties and lots of responsibilities, what no one explained to her, wife, mother (to the Future King) and without the love and support of her husband, also had to deal with limelight and media attention - what she always hated. She was treated very bad by Charles. He even gave interview 1994 which made her sad, cause she didn't like one side story. That's why she gave interview in 1995, wanted to make things clear. In the other hand, Meghan is nearly 40, mature, already divorced, not innocent at all, knows what she wants. She lives in front of cameras for more then 20 years (she was not famous at all, before she met with Harry, but she lived in front of cameras). She will always remain Duchess, never will be Queen, so had less responsibilites than Diana or Kate now. She cut her family bond and she manipulated her husband, reached to cut his family bonds too. She thought everyone will jump around her, but c'mon it is not Hollywood. She just couldn't accept not everything about her. Harry said, what Meghan wants, Meghan gets - which is a very bad attitude. She even didn't want to curtsy to the Queen as she is Harry's grandma, he had to explain to her, she is the Queen, she had to curtsy... Well, I really hope Harry will wake up one day, as Diana is crying now above the clouds seeing how her second born son turn his back against everything she fought for. She loved her country and respected monarchy. Diana always wanted to see William as a King, she said he would be much more suitable than Charles (highly agreed) and he wanted to see Harry next to him, supports him... hope Harry will grow up soon as he did after his teenage, early 20s scandals too.

Julie - I was thinking the same thing but I agree with Anne to have her children without titles so they can achieve their own decision in life which is what I would have done the same. However, Princess Anne knows the problems that come with titles and limited things to do. Meghan is a narcissistic individual that is thinking of herself and not of her children to have freedom. This I know since I was raised by a narcissistic mom whose main concern was about herself and not us and we seldom had choices which I had to eventually pushed since we were supporting immature parents that wanted a free ride in life so we had to support them through most of our life not to mention paid for my mother's funeral too.

Migraine thought she would waltze in and become the "Supernova" of the Royal Family.... she well underestimated the loyalty needed, the hard work, the selflessness that women and men in the Royal Family display. You can also see the love between her and Charles. Camilla is not the monster y’all want her to be. Charles should have never married Diana knowing he actually loved Camilla.
