Zara is a Kurd from Armenia who accepted Christianity. Frankly, she is beautiful and has a clear voice. The resonance of her fine voice is wonderful to one's ear. She's a good singer. I am also Armenian and a patriotic one; but I truly appreciate a good performance and an attractive voice.

I am half Armenian who lives in Israel. I have not been subjected too much to Armenian culture but this song pierces my very soul. Everything inside me begins to swirl as I try to combine the tune and words in my head (although I don't understand the words). Many Armenian songs and melodies reflect the hardships of this ancient nation.
