Jaquelin Marquez yeah, my buddy says it's pretty exclusive. He's inviting just a handful of us to this little family gathering tradition. Hope it's fun, too!
I realize now that many of these slang words and phrases are mostly used in the Stockholm area. If you go to like the suthern parts they would just stare at you like if you were dumb. Examples; keff, kattig, nu har du skitigt i det blåa skåpet etc.
Love the Swedish language, very cool. It is like English backwards. Adore what Queen Zara is wearing here, so gorgeous in her green outfit. She has such an incredible voice, both speaking both languages and her singing. 🤩🌟✨👑⚜️💎🎵🎶🇸🇪🏆💚🤍😍🥰😘
Some really boring ones in here. "Medelsvensson," "flummig," and "Sakta i backarna" (and others) aren't even slang. Swedish is a really rich and at times complex language so if you're interested, absolutely look into it.
3:17 Medelsvensson is like "Average Joe". Svensson is one of the most common last names in Sweden (but Larsson is actually even more common), so the typical Swede is often called "Svensson". A Svensson life is like being married, live in a house, have two kids, a dog, a car and all the average things. 1 Andersson 2 Johansson 3 Karlsson 4 Nilsson 5 Eriksson 6 Larsson 7 Olsson 8 Persson 9 Svensson 10 Gustafsson
Thank You so much for this!! It has helped me a lot with my newest book I've been working on! The main character is Norse or Swedish. She's also a vampire so she was born when Sweden was in its really early days. This has been really helpful for her language.
Hii i live in Finland where we have to learn Swedish and like everyone hates it and thinks it’s really hard but for me it is like soo easy and kinda fun😂
@@albinsvensson6443 FInland was a part of Sweden for like 700 years. so there are some people in Finland, like 5 % of the population or so, who have Swedish as their native language.
The word Zara was looking for at the last one was lagom, seriously make up a word for lagom or start using it 😂 medelsvensson is lagom Sweden is lagom 🇸🇪❤
I've always thought her voice sounds like Rihanna. When her debut single "Uncover" got a lot of radio play here in Norway, I legit thought it was a Rihanna song until I found out it was by this Swedish girl named Zara Larsson lol.
@@jonathangroschel5841 funny you say that. I wonder what you're country got going. Norway has a uniqe population of 5 million and has the most insane oil and gas refinery and the production of it is out of your countries leauge. The technology of it is more advanced than any other country. Yes because our country is going all in for it, and no Norway is one of the most influenced in the fishing market then any other country in the world exporting samon and other goods. You're so wrong it's unbelivable! Norwegian air line companies, plenty of companies, and innovated things made by norwegians.
Edda Edlund I’m taking it because I got influenced by the twins Iza and Elle (who are Swedish) and I just felt like it would be a challenge to learn a different language! I teach it to myself through apps and online lessons.
However, it is possible that the Stockholm dialect is associated with wealth, education, and prestige due to the city's status as the capital of Sweden and its high concentration of cultural institutions, universities, and affluent residents. This perception may contribute to the idea that the Stockholm dialect sounds snobbish to some people. Additionally, certain linguistic features and intonations in the Stockholm dialect may also contribute to this perception.
Not many slangs tho... Rather sayings. "Katting" (never heard it), "Donken", "Keff" (also never heard), "Läget", "Flummig" and "Fett" are slang. Funny btw, "Slang" in Swedish means "Hose", but we call those words slang to just with more emphasis on the A like in "Archer".
Oh you mean god is good? Because that is what it actually means and Muslims use it in general. Not the meaning that you are trying to use to troll. Dude, you really aren't funny.
