Venn I wanna know the differences between the manga and anime I have read the manga although I want to but it’s not exactly easy to find but I love the anime. They didn’t keep dubbing because the anime caught up to the point in the comics my bad manga and it of course wasn’t complete/finished yet
I know a lot of people hate the censorship and the dub with this series, but I have fond memories of this show of cartoon network. It was one of the first animes I ever watched. The dubbing isn't really all that bad and honestly, I don't mind most of the edits. Maybe they could have kept the blood and wounds, but I REALLY don't need to see Zatch in his naked glory.
Shaman Xeed Say what you will about how well this series was localized, but you can't deny that the dub's soundtrack is fantastic. It's one of the most captivating and emotional scores I've ever heard - in an anime or otherwise. It's an unbelievable shame that only a handful of tracks have been released.
"you know who's got the power." for me it's "you know who's got your childhood" and this is what had it. i am on a nostalgia binge. i'm gonna cry myself to sleep tonight from the memories, that is for sure
Honestly, I just never understood why people would like Naruto and One Piece better than this show! Ninjas and Pirates? Come on! That is so old school! One hundred mamodo children sent from the mamodo world to the human world? That is not old school! I grew fond of this show, I loved it like no other, and they canceled it! 🥺😭
Guys i love this anime ao much im currently seeing if i could develop a plot then maybye when i graduate i could contact raiku idk. zatch bell mamodo clash here we come!
You know what would be weird; if Naomi had a Mamodo who would be an rival of Zatch (before he lost his memory) then he would have had 2 rivals to fight.
Zatch Bell! (Konjiki no Gash Bell!! in Japan) was very popular in Japan, but unfortunately it wasn't that popular outside of it. But I think an interesting way that the series creator (Makoto Raiku) could expand the franchise is make a prequel manga series and a sequal manga series. Like have the prequel manga series take place 1,000 years before the current mamodo (demon in Japan) battle for king took place. Like have the prequal manga series take place in the year 1001, and have it be about the previous battle that happened before the current battle. And for the sequal series, have it take place 1,000 years after the current battle took place, and have it be set in the year 3001. The human world in the sequal series could be very futurastic. The sequel manga series would be about the next battle that takes place after the current battle. I think having the whole Zatch Bell franchise being about 3 different tournaments taking place in their own timeline sounds like an very interesting idea. The prequel series would be about the mamodo battle of the past. The first original series was about the mamodo battle of the present. The sequel series would be about the mamodo battle of the future. I don't think any manga/anime franchise has ever done something like that. A lot of franchises like Naruto, Shaman King, Yu-Gi-Oh, Dragon Ball, Pokémon and many others have all gotten expanded upon with prequals and sequels. And I think it's not fair that Zatch Bell! may never be expanded upon, while those franchises did.
They should do what sailor moon did. Redub the original, then reboot it so that it's a more faithful adaptation. When I say redub I mean make an uncut dub with the original voice actors and actresses. Also if they redub it, keep the original names as well I.E. zatch, Suzy, Kiyo, Tia ect.
It made be longer but japanese opening did not give me goosebumps at all. The music just never set with the show that well. The english was more catchier. The japanese opening just spoils you.
One thing is certain, a lot of us, Zatch Bell fans, are frustrated that the show never finished in English Dub. So for some of us, we got to see the rest of the show in English Sub, but English Sub and English Dub don't always relate and English Sub has a talent for speaking improper English and not making sense, which is actually why I despise English Sub. Then there's Stonestream. Why it's nothing more than English Sub in a Fandub version, which makes that suck as well. So, seeing as the third season 3 never really made it to English Dub, we can only make wild guesses about what it was about. Faudo, described as the menace of the Mamodo World sent to the Human World. If the menace were to roam free, the human world could be destroyed. It is unclear whether this giant being is actually a Mamodo or not. I personally do not think Faudo is actually a mamodo, but more like a complex creation made in the Mamodo World and then sent to the Human World. He doesn't even have a spell book and it's power is too dangerous for Faudo to be considered a Mamodo. A Mamodo named Riou or Leo in some translations was planning to unleash Faudo and then destroy the human world. A Mamodo Battle took place in the Human World, so if Faudo were to destroy the Human World, that would make Leo King of the Mamodo World for all eternity. As for his Mamodo subordinates, like Keith, Rodeau, and Zarchim, he most likely tricked them into thinking they would become Mamodo Kings if the Human World was destroyed. A couple other things that aren't clear, that symbol that was placed on the forehead of some human partners. It looks like a Nazi symbol, but also looks like the symbol of a key. In English Sub, it was called Riou's/Leo's curse, but was it a curse or was it a spell? Perhaps it was Faudo's spell, which would cause Mamodo to cooperate and help break Faudo's seal, that giant keyhole, and have Faudo be set free. Riou/Leo didn't place Faudo's spell on Zatch most likely because he can't put a spell on the other menace, the power of Bao, Bao Zakeruga, so he placed Faudo's spell on the human partners of Wonrei, Arth, Riya, and Cherish. That's one other thing that was never cleared up, the prophecy Arth spoke about the tale of the two menaces, Faudo and Bao. Bao, by the way, was what Zatch's evil twin brother, Zeno, was jealous of, which is why he erased Zatch's memories of the Mamodo World. In the end, Faudo was destroyed by the power of Bao and the Human World was saved!
I just finished this series yesterday and I love it so much. I can't believe they didn't finish the dubbing for it but the sub isnt bad at all. I love both. Oh and the Japanese intro is 100x better than this one.
