Hello everyone, I recently shared with the public my successful ZBrush to Fusion 360 workflow, managing to retain intricate details in the process.
It's been a constant balance between logic and creativity, but the results have certainly been worth it.
The shapes remain highly organic and have been preserved with minimal alterations, as you can observe in one of the slides.
For this particular project, I chose to focus on designing a Formula 1-inspired sci-fi concept with a touch of the Red Bull lineage

Have watched your work/vids for quite a while 😉. Great to see you on this subject. We’ve tried quite a few pkgs over the years. Started Hash AM (very low serial #, so dating myself) then Rhino, ZB etc. Loved 3D curves (lines) in Rhino, but a pain for water tight at least back then. Finally settled on (F360 ZB) -> Quixel -> UE -or- (F360 ZB) -> (3D print/CNC/laser/woodworking). It was great hearing you talk about precision, that’s exactly why we use F360 in our workflow as we mainly do product design/prototyping. Depending on the object/subject & amt of hardsurface we’ll start in either F360 or start in ZB. Key for us is being able to piece together a blend of hardsurface/organics physically and precisely manufacturable (repeatedly for iterations) by different processes and materials that all literally/physically fit together in the end. Folks in the ZB world, I don’t think appreciate what the parametric abilities of F360 bring to the table. It can be “HE double hockey sticks” or a life/time saver 😅. Anyways when we start to break a project down to approach it, we focus on maintaining as much of the design In 360 as possible, it’s the core of our production. ZB, though, is invaluable for what it brings for organics. Overall I’d say our work on a typical project is generally split 60/40 F360 & ZB. I remember years ago Paul had thrown up a quadrant chart about whereZB was headed, one of the quads was more CAD capability focus (eg I read that as l “precision”)! Unfortunately not much has changed in that arena. Thanks for the vid Darko! P.S. Inside 44? Did it launch and we missed it? As always, YMMV. Just sharing, nothing more, nothing less. Not associated w any products mentioned (good/bad) other than as a paying customer. Have a good’un! Now back to silent lurking mode.

@@ITSADARMAR that’s great news! Now I need to go back and find the site to make sure I get an announce email. Signed up when first saw it but want to make sure I’m still on the list. Looking forward to it very much 😁

Awesome stuff DarMar. Was wondering how you got the connectiong tab bits on the car at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6O4hosIIZZo.html this time. ALso was wondering if you would do a zbrush car tutorial in the future
