Hi - I'm trying to get a Zebco 202 like this one which I bought for my kids fixed up for my Grandson Harry. I've got it apart now all over my computer desk; should I put some new line on it too ? Thanks
Yes, i"d definitely put new line on it. One never knows how long old line has been on them. It gets brittle over time. They came from the factory with 10 lb test, but if it were me, I'd fill it with 8 lb. Great reels to give to kids!
There is a correct way to tie the line onto the spool and make sure the line comes off the line spool in the right direction. It's hard to explain the knot via text. There are some great RU-vid videos that you can search that explain it well.
