I have 18 and when they get excited they can be loud, however they are not like huge parrots that are REALLY loud. I love these birds, and I love the black cheeked ones. I dont have any of those...
I am so glad to have found this video. Our old Zebra just passed, and I like to play it for our remaining little guy. We'll be getting him a new friend at some point, but for now these guys help him.
You know what would be great? A twelve-hour video of your finches! I'm not joking, their sound is the only thing I can rely on to calm my birds. If it could last as much as I'm away from home, it would be swell! But nevertheless, thank you for filming them! It's as pleasing to watch as it is to listen to!
@@jsojourner2610 one individual finch sounds like a squeak toy but when they make sound all together, they sound like a printer or a noisy machine of some kind
I'm impressed! I never thought of some of the food you put in there...like the croissant! Thanks for the video, it will help me take better care of my birds.
Very nice video I really love their sound , beautiful happy birds lovely to watch them moving around , I recently bought two pairs of finches and one pair of java sparrows ...
aww ive had hundreds if not thousands of finches throughout my childhood selling them to local pet stores. They looked soo happy to be outdoors in my avairy my first zebra finch was named mini and lived about 10-15 years. He lived a very healthy life..:O)
OMG thank you for this!!! I love the sounds finches make but even when you go into a pet store, they're next to loud squaky parakeets or parrots :( I've clicked on 4 videos before this that promised finches but had stupid squacky parrots on it too. Thank you for having just finch peeps.
Is it alright to have only males? I just like the singing they do! Getting a cage 2' deep x 4' high x 6' wide. I was told I could have only 8 zebras in there. Does that sound about right?
Nice idea to put the piece of sod in there, looks great and they seem to enjoy it. Nice they can use it also for nesting material. When i Finally build my outdoor aviary I will have to use your great idea. You birds are beautiful and look very healthy and well cared for. :)
Hi! I have a question for you. I used to have a male zebra finch, a little round shaped, like yours. A couple days ago, I was given a female CFW which is much smaller and slimmer. I was wondering why she is so small. Is it possible that my male is exhibition size? I've seen photos of wild zebras, and their shape is similar to my new female. Any ideas?
Is that bread threy are eating at the 4.20 mark? Can you also tell me if they are louder\quieter or about the same as budgies? I had 4 budgies at one point and found them very noisy indeed.
Slax22 Thanks! The finches let me know they needed a bird bath by constantly fluttering around in their water cup. I have had a parrot & parakeets, but these little 'Flying Wallendas' like to bathe like mad! My parakeets usually were pretty sedate, but since I put the finches' cage right next to theirs, they have perked up & become more active & vocal. They are as impressed with all the finches activity as I am. ☺
What is the life span of this beautiful birds ? I have Lady Gouldians and I got them when they were 1 year old and I feel like I lost precious time with them. I am now considering getting zebra's however I have a lot of research to do first and this is my first stop!! Adorable video and happy healthy birds!!
