Seeing the iPhone plugged in, looks like the drum tracks are just pre-recorded in studio and playing through the PA, unless it’s the prerecorded beats loaded onto an RC-30 or something? *edit: wait, that big VCR looking thing is the drum machine right? hmm 🤔

I have watched this video in excess of about 40 times now (still counting), it gets better every f***ing time. Utterly outrageous, this whole performance, Candy Sam especially. Just the tone, the drum machine, everything about the whole video encapsulates being a fucking cool guy, and a gem of a musician. Ty, thank you, you talented human.

Drums are playing from an iphone. The device on the side is an Eventide Harmonizer H949, which he uses for voice effects. On the Eventide, you can see the phone from which he shoots the tracks. You're welcome :)

A very peculiar thing happened with my first witnessing of this performance. A very peculiar thing indeed. No inkling of this artist/group. I sit here in between two tiki torches like the pinnacle of a triangle. Between two flames. I opened up my RU-vid after a moment of standing for the fire demon and behold I find in an instant a fellow standing between the torches and it fits. It fits so perfectly. Hail.

it’s a travis bean guitar, electrical guitar company makes similar ones too. what makes them unique is they’re made of aluminum. so the neck and body are fully metal, which has an effect on the guitars tone and feel. they’re super cool, i’d love one. but they ain’t cheap.
