***** Not everyone listens to music on their headphones. I usually listen to music on my speakers. But this particular song (especially the beginning) sounds much better on headphones.. That's all. :)
Well isn't this ironic. This song is titled "addicted to a memory" and the reason I listen to this is because it makes me nostalgic, and makes me relive happy past memories associated with this song. Therefore, I guess I'm addicted to a memory.
Lyrics We are, we are violent chemistry Love has taken us as far as we Can reach, but I can't leave We are, we are imagine ecstasy Holding on to what we used to be Addicted to a memory Holding on to what we used to be Addicted to a memory Oh memory We are, we are in love enemies We are sentimental slaves On broken knees We're on empty We were, we were one identity Now the trouble is remembering addicted to a memory
Nayan Lad The speakers on the phone? erm? no...? no see some Hifiman HE-400's would be obfuckingnoxious or my DT990's but they are both at home.... I brought my M50x's but they aren't the same good but not the same.
No clarity is his best song to date. Amazing vocals from foxes written by matthew koma and skylar grey and an amazing drop made by zedd and the one and only porter robinson. The only people who say clarity is average are the hipsters who hate on the song simply because it did so well on the charts
In my opinion, nothing topped Clarity, at least not yet. I wasn't particularly into the beat drop on this one. I'm hoping there will be great music on his new album though.
Theworldisbeautiful9 i completely agree, the only way he could top clarity would be if he got Porter Robinson to help him write it like he did with clarity and get Foxes to sing again
I will find you when you go to the spectrum to stay the night addicted to a memory of us watching a clarity in the horizon thinking about shave it or not so i want you to know that we are beautiful now and theres no one who can push play other than us.
I can’t describe what this track does to me, it’s such a weird but surprisingly good feeling..this used to be my evening/ late night jam back in undergrad; it just brings back the mindset of grit and determination and most of all hope in the situation of all sorts of crises. I have been in love with it since the first day I played it 💜
I'm not sure but the entire True Colours album, except for I want you to know, feels so unique and special like the true ZEDD. I really like this genre or this style of dubstep, makes me go into a dream :) It's so sad how this kind of style is not as appreciated as the mainstream noisy dubstep...
+SYF2000 none of the songs on the album are dubstep. I don't understand why there are so many people like you that think everything that is in the electronic music genre is dubstep.
Alexis Roman As much as I am a fanboy of SNSD and 2NE1, Girls' Generation is more of a modern/ contemporary/ mature pop group (except for "Catch Me If You Can" which is purely electronic) and 2NE1 is recently more of a hyper electronic one, you know? But Zedd would make any pop star sound great with his instrumentals :3
I've been tired of some of this pop music Zedd has been coming out with, but now we finally have something that kinda goes back to his original electro-esque style that I just adore. This kinda reminds me of Stars Come Out, especially with the chord progressions sounding very classically influenced, while the vocals work as just accent while the actual bass ad synths work to define the song. My faith has been restored in this guy.
One of the most underrated songs. Zedd has such musical composition, and can tell a tale just through music alone. The climax and end of this song is such harmony to listen to with earbuds.
i wake up : * addicted to a memory plays over and over in my head * 1st through 6th period: * addicted to a memory plays over and over in my head * i walk home: * addicted to a memory plays over and over in my head * i eat dinner: * addicted to a memory plays over and over in my head * i brush my teeth: * addicted to a memory plays over and over in my head * i watch tv: * addicted to a memory plays over and over in my head * everything i do:* addicted to a memory plays over and over in my head * next day: repeat the cycle I LOVE THIS SONG
As much as I love Zedd's new stuff and this album as well, I feel like Clarity is the best work he's ever put out. That's my opinion, but pretty much everything he's done is fantastic.
3 different dope ass drops. 2 being similar & then the last sounding like a halloween drop in some way (in my opinion) u have my like on this song Zedd. Well done
We are, we are A violent chemistry Love has taken this as far as we can reach But I can't leave We are, we are Imagine ecstasy Holding on to what we used to be Addicted to a memory Holding on to what we used to be Addicted to a memory Ooooh, memory We are, we are in-love enemies We are sentimental slaves on broken knees We're on empty We were, we were one identity Now the trouble is remembering Addicted to a memory
every time I listen to this song I imagine a swat team raiding a drug cartel house and ending up in a firefight and the very end during the slowed down part I imagine one of the swat guys finds a room full of hostages and a bomb with 8 seconds left and he has to choose witch wire to cut .
If you think about it, some zedd fans have been giving him crap for his old and new stuff. Maybe the reason this song is called addicted to a memory is because, he misses his old style and also likes his newer stuff. This would explain the vocal portion of the song taking abt 30% of the whole thing, and the drop lasting till the end. He's addicted to the memory of when all of his music was appreciated by his fans. He doesn't like the fact that people split his music up into two categories, New and old. So he left us a memory of what he does and what he will continue to do.
The fact that he knows a lot about music and melodies etc makes most of his songs very pleasing to the ears :D awesome melodies thats what i like about him

The part after 3:40 is why i love Zedd's music. It sounds like EDM but it's not really composed that way.
I just wish Grid were around in 2015 to hear this... his cameo in Cyborg #1 just doesn't cut it. He didn't even talk, and that was a FLASHBACK, going through past events. If Grid were an enemy in the David F. Walker Cyborg series, he would've loved the entirety of Zedd's True Colors album!
We are, we are violent chemistry Love has taken us as far as we Can reach, but I can't leave We are, we are imagine ecstasy Holding on to what we used to be Addicted to a memory Holding on to what we used to be Addicted to a memory Oh memory We are, we are in love enemies We are sentimental slaves on broken knees We're on empty We were, we were one identity Now the trouble is remembering addicted to a memory
Listening to Zedd's album is like reading a fantasy novel - there's a distinct intro and an outro, and everything in between is constantly treading the line of genius and insanity.
It is sad a song as bad as I Want You To Know can get million of views in no time, while a song as AMAZING as this, can't even reach a million in several days.
***** OK the Ariana Grande was amazing!! Like...and u also forgot about Selena Gomez fans. I'm an Ariantor so I liked that's song...but this is also amazingly awesome. Words cannot describe
