Dude! Great video highlighting this beast! I learned so much watching this thing come together on Hands on Cars. And of course, your work on the Eastwood videos. You’re a great teacher and I appreciate your attitude. About a year ago I decided to try and pay it forward and started my own RU-vid channel to show the work being done on my second gen firebird. Been working on it for eight years now. The only other projects that I have that are taking this long require three square meals and an education. 😂 Anyways, Just though I’d say thanks for what you do and for your inspiration.

Much appreciated! Sorry I'm late responding to this. I drove it yesterday and it pulls hard!!! got some housekeeping issues to deal with, but I plan on driving the crap out of it next season. I appreciate your kind words. Personally I cant write a check big enough to have someone else build this car, but if I get creative I can whittle it together a little at a time. :)
I know this is old but I have always tried to find the specs on the rear wheels and tires. The rear suspension with large springs… how did they fit a 18x11?
Rear (Forgeline)wheels are 18X11 with 6.5 BS. Rear axle is slightly narrowed, and Ford (Torino) bearing ends installed, tubes welded, Eaton True Trac Diff, 31 spline Moser axles. LEaf springs are from PTFB, slightly narrower, and I did the Herb Adams mod on the spring pockets in the front... that combo toes the springs in just a little in front, allowing more tire. Seat belt bulges have been removed, and the outer quarter panel was rolled outward which gave me another 3/4 if an inch outboard. All that said, under heavy cornering/sideload I still got some rub on the inner wheelhouse, but nothing that damaged the tire, just skinned the paint a little. Going to a 295 tire on the same wheel would have eliminated that, but I loved the look of the 315, and the braggin rites of that size wheel/tire without mini-tubs was a goal. Hey Ed, nothing at all wrong with a "Fixed Up Camaro"... we need em ALL on the road. I wanted to do something different for me... challenge myself and get out of my comfort zone.
