i am also a assistant loco pilot...there are more difficulties in locos as you travelling in ac coaches and there we are serving you in 45-46 degree temperature ....so plz people respect to all loco pilots....we are always happy to serve you better as we can....and thanks to zee news for this coverage...
My respect for the loco pilots who ensure that we travel safe. I simply loved the levels of concentration that the loco pilot was displaying. That loco pilot did not take his eyes off the front view even when idiotic questions were being posed to him.
Loco pilot is a very respectable and responsible job. Lives of 1000s of passengers is in their hands.they have to be extremely cautious all the time not to miss any signal and prevent mishaps. Government should seriously consider making all locomotivs air-conditioned so that it becomes a bit comfortable for the drivers and their fatigue will be reduced. I am a fan of electric locos. I feel proud that India is one of the few countries of the world that manufacture state of the art 3 phase induction motor electric locos
This topic is good enough to describe the unknown fact of railway system contributed by pilots . Really challenging and lot of lives are dependent through out journey...Hope such profession is much more valuable rather any movie star in society...well information indeed.
Undoubtedly the loco pilots do a very responsible job.The passengers's lives rest on their skills and sense of dutifullness.Passengers safety is ensured by them during travel.

WAP 7 is tested max speed 180 kmph. Indian railways restricts the speed to 140 kmph. more information is available on Wikipedia. People get your facts straight, before you make foolish comments. No trains in India are allowed to run at max capacity of 180 kmph. It's a known fact for rail engineers.

I am shocked to see this video today, which went public in 2015.. However great a TV channel may be, IR officials should not have allowed this reporter. Watch the videos on Shinkansen, Japanese bullet train. They are like aircraft pilots, in their uniform and code of conduct. No one is allowed anywhere near them. Same way Rajdhani express pilots are prestigious people of our nation.

The (ZEE) MEDIAS should NOT disturb/interview/chat/question when the LOCO PILOTS are running the train with full concentration and focussing on the signals/lines/points/caution orders. HOW DID THE INDIAN RAILWAYS ALLOW/PERMIT THIS? IS THE FREEDOM OF MEDIA MISUSED/OVERREACHED!
I agree. My first reaction is that of shock, as to how the reporter is asking questions while the LP is focused on his work. It's downright as dangerous as being in an aircraft cockpit, which is never allowed.
Absolutely I was very scared watching this video...The reporter could ask such questions in the running room or elsewhere comfortable...Bt , of course, not in the running loco...Many lives might be lost due to lack of concentration.
Not very satisfactory report. Basic questions eg for drivers what training and how long for? How long are you away from home etc etc Come on reporter! Learn to ask informative questions

This cannot be called as an interview. It seems, the reporter has just had a chat with the Loco pilots and the Guard. There are many more facts about the life of a loco pilot on Indian railway, which are yet to be made public. Frankly speaking, this is one particular segment, that we have not heard much about....
