I have a 1964 DDR 10 mark banknote and it has a depiction of the Karl Zeiss factory in Jena on its back. Funny enough, one of the local charity shops that I visited today had a pair of Zeiss Jena 6x30s going for £49.99. Beside the ornithologist forums, try the astronomy forums for info about vintage bins as they are popular with star gazers and most have dedicated sections for binoculars.
Aha!....you got me thinking there Al...I've got three DDR 5 mark banknotes on display here in my shed...all 1964 dated , so I had a look and on the back of the 5 mark is Humboldt University...so I was nearly on the same page ...yeh I will check out the forums....I believe I've used one before...'cloudy nights?'....cheers m8 and all the best to you 🙂🙂🙂🙂
Cheers Dave m8....yeh they are very clear and usable....I bet with the original case and warranties the worth of yours will be more than mine....nice to have the full kit 🙂🙂🙂🙂
